The Gardensmith works with clients who see their outdoor spaces as an extension of their homes, who enjoy spending time entertaining, playing, and relaxing in their gardens. Our design office is based in Milwaukie, Oregon, and we help clients throughout the Portland metro area.
Services
Sarah M. Smith is The Gardensmith's owner and principal designer. She works along with other landscape professionals and homeowners to create pleasing and functional landscapes. Sarah has been designing gardens and working with homeowners for over 15 years in the Portland area. Sarah volunteers several hours each month working on community gardening and wildlife habitat projects. She is very active in The Association of Northwest Landscape Designers (ANLD), currently serving as their webmaster.
Two ideas are to reduce the scope of the project, and/or use different hardscape materials. Well installed hardscaping tends to be one of the larger costs of a landscaping project, however if it is done well, it can not only improve the enjoyment and usability of your yard, it can also add value to your home.
