After working for two prominent Charlotte architecture firms, Michael and Brian set up shop in a cramped upstairs Myers Park guestroom using hollow-core doors for desks, a second-hand Macintosh computer, and a clattering dot matrix printer. Over the next several years, Michael and Brian developed an impressive list of public and private clients with projects scattered across North and South Carolina and Virginia.
In 1993, the firm relocated from a second-floor Dilworth office condominium to a modern two-story building on 7th Street, across from Spirit Square and four blocks from Trade and Tryon Streets.
