A native Georgian, Pete Pike became interested in the nursery business in the mid-1950s. While serving at the Naval Air Station in Chamblee, Georgia, he worked part-time for Lymburner's Nursery to supplement his income and support a growing family. In 1958, with more nerve than money, Pete decided to try his luck with his own nursery business with three employees and a 200 ft.

Zeke helped out me and my husband this evening. Not only was he knowledgeable, but he was also very kind. We came in at the last 30 minutes and he never made any mention of the time or that they would be closing soon. I hope his efforts don't go unnoticed! In this current climate of horrible horrible sales associates I was really impressed! Thank you Zeke!

Jared delivered and replanted 3 planters that had died. Pike's replaced them through their warranty and even covered Jared coming out to do the work. He was polite and explained what he did along with extra instructions on how to take care of the new plants. He also cleaned up afterwards. I'd recommend using Pike's and ask for Jared to do your delivery!

Okay Pikes Nursery on Lindberg, I am here to give a Big Shout Out to you and your staff at this location. My Name is Errol Boyland and I live in Ellenwood, GA. I started this project out with Alex and finished up with another guy and young lady that was fantastic at helping me to set up my islands. Long story short Holly Hill Home Owners Association has voted two years in a row to honor me with yard of the month for September 2021.
I also won it last year in September when I upgraded my yard on a smaller scale. Just wanted to say thank you Pikes Nursery. I am now caring for my 65 year old sister with P/ D so I may not be able to afford to win next year. Thanks Pikes we did it. The Errol Boyland Family

R-U-D-E! First time shopping there and my last. Poor customer service! Standing in line waiting to pay for my items and Jill aka owner (or so her name tag says) is have a good old chit-chat with the couple in front of me like there there isn't a line of people waiting. Can we do this on our own time and not mine? Then she tosses my receipt at me (didn't hand it to me just tosses it on the counter like a discarded piece of trash). My money is just as green as the next people and I will be spending it elsewhere. I will not be returning!

A bit hidden in the back of the Lindbergh station area, but this Pike is great! Always clean and organized, it's nicely laid out for wandering around to look at all the plants. Staff are also very helpful: we talked to Larry today about some roses we were looking for which then turned into how to go about reviving our lawn for next year! Shout out to him for his help.

Pikes has been our go to place for years now.or was. I just don't understand the rudeness of some people though. My husband and I went in the other day and shelled out 400.00 for two flower pots. The lady at the register was interested in getting our money and then to busy to say thank you or have a good day or get lost. She was too busy running her mouth and laughing with her coworkers. I wonder if she realizes its people like us that pay her salary? They seriously need some employee training.

We visit many times through the seasons. Always, very helpful service. Always great knowledge. Offering great warranties for what we purchased. We found great roses, basil, beautiful azaleas and so much more. The team is helpful when we don't know what the trouble is with some of the plants we have. We bring a branch and they find a solution. Awesome.

Typically I loveeee this place and can't get out of this joint without spending less than $100 (avid house plant collector). This last time was somewhat disappointing as I had my heart set on some beautiful hanging baskets. I did leave with two but I had either pothos orrrr ivy to choose from- maybe a few others but they did not interest me. Though I've heard that ivy can be difficult to care for, I still took my chances and rolled out with two of them plus a few other house plants! Ha.
I will, of course, be back and give them more of my money! Also, the staff is very nice. Not always the most knowledgeable but if one person cannot answer my question, they will find someone who can.

We shopped there for the first time last weekend. They have a great selection of plants. However, many planters are not marked with a price. I purchased three small ceramic pots that would have been no more than $30 elsewhere. When we got home, we checked the receipt and was astounded to find out we were charged $110 for a small 6 planter and $105 for another!
Even though we didn't buy much, our total was $305! We are so disappointed with this store and will not shop there again. Beware of items with no prices and no signs. In addition to the overpriced planters, it took FOREVER to check out because the cashier was having to answer the phone. Seriously Pike? You can't afford someone to answer the phone who isn't at the register?

Bought a Eucalyptus plant from Pikes, kept plant indoors, watered about once a week. Two weeks later I noticed leaves on plant drying out, I watered again, two weeks later leaves will fall off with least little touch. Happened to find receipt, receipt said s Lifetime guarantee on all scrubs and trees, all others must be within 90 days accompanied by a receipt. Took plant back to store. Asst Mgr said they don't replace or refund on plants. It's apparent there plants do well in an controlled environment, no where else. I wouldn't recommend buying plants here. Lowe's and HomeDepot stands by their products.

Great experience! This location is right around the corner from Lindbergh MARTA station, it's a very pleasant little walk through some quiet tree-lined streets right to the front door. Staff were as helpful and pleasant as any I've ever met - I called ahead to make sure they had what I was looking for, gave me an accurate count and description, then upon arriving helped me bag up my plants gently and appropriately for me to carry home on the train. I'll be going back!

Although, we are only visiting Charlotte for the weekend, it was recommended that we stop at this nursery and have a look around. Pikes is one of the nicest nurseries I have seen. There are so many items available. It was fun as I wandered through the aisles and looked at the unique plants that would be challenging to grow where I live. There were so many water features and statuary ready for purchase for anyone wanting to add interest to their yard or garden.
Some items were very pricey, but I found a dragonfly statue to put by our pond at home for only $15. The sales people were very accommodating. When the cashier found out I was from out of state, she double wrapped my purchases for our trip home. When we are down here again, I would like to come back and see what new things are available.

They are busy on the weekends! But, it's worth it. We were a little overwhelmed when we were outside since they have so many plants and flowers. Everyone was very helpful and gave us suggestions. Two owners helped up and they were so awesome. They walked us through with some items we were looking for and they were very informative. They have a convenient location and a great selection. Just awesome!
