Humes Landscape and Horticultural Services, Inc., was established in 1994. Our company is guided by industry veteran Steve Humes, a degreed Horticulturist. With over 30 years of experience in all facets of landscape installation and maintenance Steve is one of the foremost authorities on drought-resistant methods to promote healthy residential landscapes.
Our personal service and attention to detail sets Humes apart from the large chains and franchises. Over two decades into his career, founder Steve Humes personally oversees every customer's monthly service application. A regular fertilization program is necessary to maintain good quality turfgrass.

We hired Steve Hume after becoming pregnant and needed someone to help with yard maintenance as my husbands spends lots of time working in the yard in the weekends. Steve said he would come and spray our yard, but we noticed that whatever he was doing wasn't working or delivered as promised. My husband sent a cancellation email to him, which he seeming ignored.
Another month goes by and he apparently comes and sprays again. He charges us for the service, which we refuted because we had cancelled the service the prior month. Months go by, maybe a year, and we get a COLLECTION notice in the mail for $20. He will not return emails or phone calls and we were forced to pay him because the collection agency was threatening to report to the credit agencies, and we have never been sent to collections.
This guy is an absolute jerk and terrible businessman. Not only does he not do a good job with your yard, he will send you to collections. He only serviced us for a few months, but, sidenote, he said that he had to work quickly as his side kick in his truck would fall asleep if he sat still too long. I can't make this up. Just trust me and take your business elsewhere.
