Schmalz Custom Landscaping

2 yr guarantee is disappointing. I had to exchange one of three lilac bushes I bought last spring. The cost went up and I had to pay the difference. Really? So much for an exchange. Even worse, the replacement plant is no longer covered on the guarantee. Huh? I have one yr left on the original guarantee, which should still apply, OR, even better, the two years should start over.

The best. On a very busy day they took time to answer questions and take us to the items we wanted. Thanks!

First time shopping there today. Great products for garden and home! Also some nice products for wild birds. Great selection of indoor plants and a wide variety of outdoor plants, trees, and more. Staff were very friendly. I'll go back!

I have many trees, hydrangeas, and a burm put in a few years ago from Schmalz, everything is perfect. This week I was there twice, I had a wonderful experience, it is nice to be acknowledged, get advise, I purchased the most beautiful rose bush, very happy, ! Thanks

My wife and I went to Schmalz for the first time this past week and were extremely pleased with the neatness of the grounds, the courteous and helpful employees, the quality of the plants and flowers and the competitive prices. It was a really good experience. We would highly recommend this great nursery.

Train your drivers! Multiple times they have pulled out in front of my vehicle on KK forcing me to slam on my brakes. If you drive a big slow truck be courteous and wait for traffic don't pull out infront of a car going 45 and do 15 miles an hour!

I went to Schmalz to look for a nice tree to replace my 30 year old maple tree on my terrace in Menasha. It was a great loss when it had to be removed because it was split and posed a hazard. After selecting the tree we planted it and it survived it's first winter. By May 2021, we could tell it had given up. We sought help from Schmalz staff and this is why I gave them one star.

We were treated very badly. Somehow I had misplaced my receipt, but I had everything else. I have been gardening for over 40 years, and have not been treated so badly. We wanted to exchange the tree for a live one, but the current stock looked bad. The foliage was drooping and hanging, and there was die off on many branch tips. We made another trip later in the season and something must have been done for the poor trees, they looked a little happier so we finally got it exchanged and replanted.

I can imagine how hard it must be to run a nursery. The staff that helps in the field are all nice, but the staff inside are RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL. I was told they could not research my purchase, but then I watched as she researched my purchase. I had the exact date and time of purchase, and looked in her eyes when she said she could not find it. The bottom line is I am glad I am done with Schmalz. They are happy when they take your money but woe to you if you need their help later.

What an awesome experience! We shopped on Mother's Day, ordered mulch for our landscaping. Got home and realized we needed more so we called and they added to our existing order. Started to spread out the mulch and realized we were going to be way short. Called and ordered more, they said they may be able to get it out the same day. Within an hour there was a truck in the driveway.

When we were looking at plants everyone was so helpful and knowledgeable, and had wonderful suggestions. An absolute amazing experience and we look forward to shopping there more.

We've been buying goods and services from Schmalz Custom Landscaping (no relation) for nearly 25 years now. Completely satisfied with recent design, buy, and install of four major beds worth of landscaping (approximately $6,000) by the custom landscaping side of their business. Our designer, Dan, V. knew his design and plant selection well, and provided A to Z customer service from beginning to end. Mike and crew did a fine job with install and even helped us dispose of some trimmings while pruning some tree branches to make way for more bed mulching.

Both Dan and Mike were flexible allowing us to add on more mulching work than was in the schedule, so everything could be done at the same time, resulting in all the beds looking the same. Schmalz has the design and install expertise, high quality products and customer responsive service you'd expect from a full service landscape provider. You get full value for your money spent here.
