Great selection, good prices, and helpful staff! James was great to work with when we recently purchased 12 trees and had their team deliver and install. Tony and his crew were excellent with the delivery and planting - they were patient, accommodating, knowledgeable, and we couldn't be happier with the job they did!

This is a must visit garden center. Whatever you want, they will have a large selection of cultivars to choose from. I hadn't been to their Japanese maple area before and spent half an hour looking at all the different cultivars. I have been looking for artemis silver salvia for a couple of years and they had it. This is a great place and the people were really friendly and helpful.

UPDATE: I decided to bump my review up to four stars because honestly the install crew was so amazing, professional and very fast! I think they did an excellent. They really made up for what was lacking in the customer service side of things and made me willing to try again one more time with The Garden Plot. So I really wanted to like this place.

My neighbor told me about them when I asked where she got her plants. I walked in knowing I was probably going to be spending between 2000-3000 on trees. The young man opening the door was friendly and so was the staff that was older and very knowledgeable. However at checkout I was very uncomfortable and it kinda ruined my experience. I was trying to find out how much it was for the plants, the plants with delivery and the plants with delivery and install.

When you know you are going to be spending a good chunk of money you want to know the options so you can pick what's best for you. I bought 10 trees and need to buy 30 more. The check out guy made me feel as though I was wasting his time and was bothered by my questions. He was clearly frustrated. My husband just said fine let's do the install because the guy seems so impatient.

I was hoping to love this place and buy all of our items from here for the yard over haul we are doing. However, this made me decide to buy the smaller trees from Costco in the future and plant them myself. I work in a company that is based off of customer service. It's our bread and butter. I know there was a change of ownership recently. I wish you luck in the future and hope you can get this hiccup worked out.

Huge selection of beautiful plants, but there are no directions to tell you where to find things. It would be a lot easier to find what you're looking for with some organization and maybe some signs.

This isn't a review I expected to write but here it goes. This is the first time I've been here since ownership has changed. We arrived at 9am when online AND the sign posted said they were open. The gate wasn't locked and pushed about a open about a foot. I didn't want to push it open so I saw someone working behind the fence. I called out to him and asked if they were open, he in turned waved myself and others to come in.

I pushed the gate a little bit to get inside and almost immediately a woman hurriedly came outside with a scowl on her face, I immediately told her that the man had waived us in. Her response was that he had told her she could open when she wanted to open. I felt bad and turned to leave and she (not in exact words) said well it's open now! My first reaction after this was to leave but I decided to wander around outside.

After a few minutes I walked inside and encountered her again, I asked a question and she went to get the person who could answer. Speaking to her again I felt uncomfortable but waited for the other person. The ONLY reason I'm giving two stars is because of the lady who came outside to help me. She took her time answering my questions and doing her best to explain about the different plants that I was interested in.

I can't remember her name but she was the up side of my experience. When I arrived at The Garden Plot I had every intention of leaving with everything I needed to include boxwoods, ground cover plants for around my tree, flowers, and veggies. I left with nothing because of the uncomfortable encounter. I would have NEVER opened that gate and walked in had an employee not waved that it was ok. Whomever the lady was that pretty much huffed out of the building should truly consider how she made a potential customer feel (and it was an awful feeling.) Even though they had everything I needed and wanted Im not sure if I'll ever go back.

I've dropped by over the last 20 years because there is a nice selection of plants but the staff are horrendous. I keep telling myself I'll come in and just look around and won't talk to anyone but every time I come I am taken back by the rudeness and dismissiveness of the staff. Today I witnessed a customer being abused by the staff for wondering where the herb section was. It is worth the 40 min drive to Merrifields, I can't give my money to a business where the owners have such a long-standing systemic employee moral issue.

Really great customer service. I purchased a gift card online while my parents are shopping there, called to see if they could process it in time and have it waiting at the register for my mom for a Mother's Day surprise, and it was all taken care of and done within 10 minutes! My mom is so excited because they also have such a diverse selection of house plants and outdoor plants!

Extraordinary customer service, a variety of product options, and they helped to load the mulch in the car. This local business is organized to help customers. I recommend checking them out!

Good plant selection but something is just off here. Weird, unfriendly staff. The most unpleasant garden center I have ever been to.

Way beyond my budget! I have beautiful flowers and plants but I don't buy at Holly, Wood and Vine. Beyond my budget!

I always like coming here, I know that I am going to find what I need and the staff us always ready to help, friendly, and they know their plants. Maybe the prices are higher than Walmart or Home Depot, but I've yet to kill a plant from here. They even exchange propane here! When you exit, turn right and make a U-turn over turning left, traffic on One is usually heavy, fast, and aggressive. Other than that, I fully recommend this place for plants, trees, and other supplies.

Stumbled upon this amazing Nursery running errands. Lovely staff, wonderful selection of plants, Pottery, gardening supplies and what nots. Very reasonably priced. Better prices actually than Merrifield and Burke nurseries. Staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about all aspects of gardening. Even gave me some suggestions to help save some money for growing Moss between my new pavers we just installed around our pond.

Will definitely be back! Staffer who has been working there for nearly 13 years shared that Christmas time at Holly, Woods and Vines is not to be missed! Definitely looking forward to it.

If you are coming to holly wood and vines for houseplant forget about it I came here looking for a few hanging plants but could find any. Besides some overpriced peace lilies and dracaenas they only had succulents and bonsai trees. The people there looks friendly so that's why it's 3 stars and not 1.

Picked up a $60 batch of firewood. Was initially happy as the wood was of very good quality. Unfortunately, the wood is not seasoned and will not burn. It will be great in 6 months to a year, but I was expecting seasoned wood that I could burn this winter.
