We hired Rost to pave our existing ugly, concrete-slab patio and build a large curved seating area. We have lived in our house for 20 years and really enjoy sitting outside. We had no idea how to begin this process, but now we wish we had done it sooner. We worked with Jacob, who patiently drew and re-drew our plans to meet our budget and expectations, offering suggestions that we had not considered.
The crew of three worked continuously for 2 days. Not only did the finished work exceed our expectations, but they left our property in excellent condition--re-seeding bare spots, cleaning our windows in the work area and leaving mulch where equipment had worn it down. As an extra bonus, the final cost was below budget! We would highly recommend Rost and Jacob!

We recently had a new flagstone walkway installed by Rost and we couldn't be more pleased. Brendan was great to work with in the designing phase of the project in helping me pick out what type and color of material would look best with my home. Just prior to the actual construction, he returned to our home to suggest tweaking our plan slightly to eliminate potential issues with water drainage/pooling. The final result was perfect, both aesthetically and functionally. Highly recommend Rost!

Save your money & go someplace else. My folks went to Rost, ordered 2 trees (2.5 diameter trunk, big trees & yet small enough that one of their workers easily lifted a tree by himself ) & paid quite a bit to have them professionally planted by Rost. That's where Rost's professionalism stopped. To start, one of the trees has a very crooked trunk.
The trees are planted above the soil line. BURLAP sacs (which have been shown to hurt root growth can take a decade or more to decay) was left around the root bulbs. PLASTIC twine was tightly wound around the tree trunks and METAL bulb carriers were left in the ground, all covered with a thin layer of soil which quickly eroded away upon the first rainfall.
My folks called to express concern about one of trees leaning, the burlap, plastic & metal. Rost came out to correct the leaning but left the burlap, plastic & metal in the ground. My parents were told to leave the burlap and plastic alone bc they were meant to be left & for my parents to use bolt cutters to cut the metal handles; if the metal handles bothered them that much.
I called several arborists.all agreed the burlap, plastic & metal should not have been left. My folks thought they were buying good quality trees & planting service; instead, they got poor tree quality, with burlap, plastic & metal spikes now buried in their yard. Do yourself a favor and use a different company.

By far, the best in Columbia! Some others are good, some are awful. Rost came and took over once another company was doing an awful job that was over budget, not what we asked for, messed a ton of things up, took 6 months and over. Rost came in and started all over.finished the job in 6 days! I will always use them from now on. Worth every cent!

We have used Superior Irrigation since we moved to Columbia, MO in 2007. We have ALWAYS been very pleased with their professionalism as well as their quality of work. Most recently we had Randy Mahoney come out to our home to move a few sprinkler heads for us. Randy is ALWAYS professional and friendly. He did an outstanding job and went above and beyond in the quality of workmanship. I would strongly suggest considering Superior Irrigation for any work you need done.
