Rockwall County's Premiere source for landscape consulting, design, construction, maintenance and horticultural services. It is better to water less frequently but for a longer period of time.

3.5 of 5 ⭐️ - subject to change* to a full 5 ⭐️ if…
Harold’s prompt attention was nice, his design was beautiful (see the wonderful concepts he provided with proposal) and competitively priced and they implemented right away; crew was courteous. Project manager was his son Kaleb - nice young man. I’ve had several people in the neighborhood compliment the job they did and say that we have the prettiest property in the addition.
One little gem magnolia (of six) didn’t make it, some seasonal flowers couldn’t withstand August 😌 but everything else is good. The original proposal (which I paid for in full prior to project completion) included a water feature, pump and installation of same, which we later decided to purchase elsewhere — there were also a few items in the proposal that weren’t actually delivered — and the magnolia was to be a “warranty” issue and replaced… so all in all I overpaid by about $3000 for the project, but again, that’s my fault for paying in advance of completion. 😏
There was going to be a ‘phase 2’ and we were going to get the $3000 credited towards that job but my family unexpectedly ran into some financial difficulties and decided to hold off. We were supposed to get a full cash refund on that overpayment, reassuring Harold said “we’ll take care of you”, one day I heard he was “an hour away”, later that evening, after he didn’t show up, I began to worry so called to check if he was ok and received a message “have to call you tomorrow, at dinner with family” (I thought odd 🤔 since he’d said he was on his way to my home to give me the much needed refund). We never got word plans had changed, but “family first for sure” I thought 💭
Later in the week when I reached out he messaged “sorry in a meeting I’ll have to call you later” — and that happened again later; now I can’t reach him at all. My family really needed the money for a tough spot we’re in this week, but oh well, due to paying in advance 🤦🏽♂️ and since I’m now not getting any returned calls and messages…
*I’m left to assume worst case and that I won’t ever get it back, leaving us in a bind in the short term — will certainly revisit this review if something changes…I’ve got no hard feelings, well maybe 1/2 a star of disappointment 🫠Although there are some others that claim this has happened to them, thankfully I never have had something like this happen to me before, but things happen, I’m still hoping — it pains me that perhaps some struggle he’s going through might be causing this. Thinking further, you never know what people are going through and I’m not sure this has anything whatsoever to do with impropriety. From early in our relationship I felt a special bond with Harold as we both shared with one another how Jesus had changed our lives completely — we worship at the same church, I consider him a friend and brother in Christ.
We pray all is well with Harold and his son Kaleb, and if I don’t ever see that $3000 again — don’t get me wrong, this is a whole heck of a lot of money to us, but God. God is in control. This is not a burden for us because God is still good! and what was planted by this company looks good too!

We had Lasting Impressions come out and design our front yard and plant three trees we had purchased from Fannin Tree Farm, which we paid for them to do instead of Fannin. The design was just what we wanted. The work was almost complete when I made the mistake of paying the the final check on May 10th. I KNOW SHAME ON ME. They never came back to complete the job of staking a tree they forgot to stake, trim a tree, correcting an incorrect tree bubbler they installed and return our shovel they took by mistake.
After numerous texts and phone calls, Harold said they would return the shovel. Which they have not done as of yet. So the moral of the story, make sure the job is COMPLETE before you pay the last check. The ironic part of this story is we had planned for them to do a very expensive backyard job for us in the spring. Needless to say, we will find another company.

A few years ago Harold Jones, owner of Lasting Impressions did some work for me. His 2 week estimate for the project ended up lasting more than 2 months. Seems he only worked my project when he didn't have anything else going to put his employees on. The landscaping part was done satisfactorily. The pergola turned out nice only because I checked out the lumber when it arrived and noticed it was of much smaller dimensions.
The main beams that were delivered were 4" x 6" when we had agreed on 8" x 10". Fortunately I had this stipulated in the cost estimate. When I called Harold out on this he blamed error on the company that delivered the lumber. (Highly unlikely) Harold also installed a putting green for me. He had told me he had experience doing this. But it didn't take long to realize he didn't have a clue what he was doing.
We went round and round on this. Pulling surface up and working on the material he had made the base out of, then reinstalling the artificial surface. To his credit he kept trying but it was clear he did not know what to do to make it right. The end product was very bumpy and useless as a putting green. VERY disappointing. It looked ok from 75 feet, up close it was an eyesore. I finally gave up as I was sick of dealing with it. This was easily the worst experience I have ever had with a contractor. I do not recommend using Harold Jones.

Harold was a joy to work with. He redid our flowerbeds. I gave him a ballpark idea of what we wanted, and he made a rendering. While on the phone with him, telling him what changes we wanted, he would email my pictures with the changes made until we figured it out. The work was finished almost as soon as it started ( he worked fast) and he sent me constant updates since I couldn't be there while it was being done. If I ever need more work done, this is our guy.

Harold, the owner, came out and gave us a bid to redo our flower bed. It was the best bid I had been given in all the companies I called around DFW. Harold and his crew came out the very next day and started working on cleaning up the flower beds, adding mulch, and adding many pretty colors! He was able to show us the job he would be doing before coming out!
He will give you exactly what your heart desires like he did mine! Harold stayed very well in contact throughout, respectful, as well as his crew. I look forward to him doing our outdoor kitchen here sometime soon! Thank you lasting impression landscape for giving us the lasting impression we and our neighbors were hoping for!

I was provided with some new artist rendering pics. As we are getting closer and closer to the Ribbon Cutting Event for our new building, Lasting Impressions has been doing everything possible to create my dream-come-true. Thanks to Harold Jones and Lasting Impressions for your awesome landscape renderings and for your attention to detail. You cared about my vision and made it happen!

Harold and crew did a fantastic job for us. Especially liked the landscaping concept presentation with photos of our home and Harold's professional ideas and suggestions. The entire project including new plants, flower beds, new sod and much more were done with care and as if it were his own. Very pleased from start to finish.
