Straub Landscape did 2 jobs for us in Fall 2021: 1) designed and installed the landscape steps in the attached photo, and 2) expanded our irrigation system. Both jobs were done in a timely fashion and with an eye toward quality work and customer satisfaction. We definitely recommend them. Service: Outdoor step construction

I tested my sprinkler system for the first time and found I had some issues, possibly a broken line in one section, called this company to see if I could schedule someone to help me. Right out of the gate they told me their "irrigation technician was booked up with irrigation start ups and they didn't know when they could help me." Nothing says don't ever call here for help like a complete dismissal and total unwillingness to even give me an idea when they might be able to schedule me. I'll never call this outfit for anything again, very not customer service minded. Don't even bother calling if you have an irrigation issue.

Straub Landscaping has been great to work with and I would highly recommend them to anyone! They helped reconfigure our lawn irrigation system and installed our new lawn and it looks amazing. On top of being highly knowledgeable, everyone is highly professional and just good all around people to work with. Dave, the owner, goes above and beyond for his clients and really set us up for success from the start. Again, can't say enough great things about how wonderful these guys are to work with.

Some time during our first winter in Oregon, a pipe in our sprinkler system froze and broke. Straub Landscaping did an excellent job diagnosing the problem, suggesting solutions, and moving some pipes underground to prevent future problems. They did an excellent job on the project and the owner kept me informed through every step of the process. We currently use them for our yearly maintenance program. We have been very pleased with the quality of their work and their customer service.

Straub landscaping provided my business with a fantastic service. Dave was very easy to work with and thorough throughout the design and installation process. They were able to design a hardscape and plant scape with color and, most critical to me, a low maintenance result. They worked within my non-business hour schedule and left the property immaculate after excavation, planting, and ground cover. I would highly recommend Straub for your landscaping needs.

I hired Straub to do routine yard maintenance twice a month. Their rate of $52 for each person-hour ($104 for the two guys scheduled) seemed really high for maintenance, but I wanted to see what working with them was like. At the time, I was considering them for a large landscape project redoing my whole yard. Their two guys showed up and spent the entire hour with the leaf blower on, blowing leaves around the yard (they did eventually pick them up to haul off).
There was no weeding done, no trimming, nothing that would be of real value. When I asked the guys on one of the visits to trim some blackberry vines in the front of my property (which they had not bothered to walk down to), they did it with poor grace and frowns on their faces, as if I were asking for too much. It did not take long to figure out this was not the contractor I wanted to work with on any big project, so I informed the owner their services were not required any longer.
He sent me back an email with the basic message "you can't fire me because I'm firing you." I have worked with contractors of various types for decades, and in various cities, but had never seen anything this angry or unprofessional before. His email ended with "are relationship is done." (misspelling his) Straub did not bill me for 3 months after their services were done.
I put this down to remorse. Perhaps the owner realized his services were way overpriced and low value, or maybe he realized his email was totally unprofessional. No, neither, it was just administrative incompetence. Eventually they sent it.
