I called to get an estimate for lawn mowing and snow removal service for the year. I was told they would get back with me regarding an estimate the following week. I didn't hear back from them and had to call them myself to get the estimate. When I called I advised them that this was for a 1/2 double and exactly what needed mowed which was just my side and the common area between the 2 properties.
For snow removal it was just the sidewalk and driveway for my side. I was provided with an estimate for mowing only and had to ask again about snow removal estimate which I was told wasn't done and I was given a ball park number for which was ok, the mowing was the most important for now. When I called back to request an email with the estimate and any contract they use I was told they would send it to me in the afternoon.
That afternoon I received an email asking if I was the owner or if I would be the responsible party for payment. When I responded back and explained again about this being a half a double and only needing care for my side and that I would be responsible, I received an email back stating unfortunately it is their policy to only do whole properties and not half of a property if it is a half double.
This is not stated anywhere on their website and it was never mentioned any of the 3 times I had talked with them on the phone. They said the person giving the quote was not aware of the policy and it would cost much more to do both sides. Not how a company should do business and because of this I am taking my business elsewhere and they lost a good paying customer. So beware this company obviously cares more about all or nothing than customer satisfaction. I was very disappointed with my interactions with them and the outcome.
