LED lights do not use much electricity, which in turn helps reduce cost on your monthly electric bill. LED bulbs are not hot, so there is no risk of fire if the in ground fixture becomes incidentally covered by leaves or mulch. LED systems do not typically require a large transformer so there is a big savings with the initial installation cost compared to Halogen lights.
These homes in Milford Michigan showcase the front of the house being illuminated. When I design a lighting plan for a home, I typically light the front of the home completely different than the back. The front of the home is seen by the owners and their guests as they. This home in Novi Michigan is a real stunner at night as many of the architectural features that are not noticed during the day, really are spectacular with this lighting design. The large arch at the front door is accentuated by illuminating the octagonal bays on each side of the.
These clients get a lot of comments about their flowers. These Begonias grew 3' tall this year with my fertilizer and watering schedule. Additionally, they have meticulous perennial gardens and beautifully sheared boxwood and yew hedges. Each year we have added some trees. For example we have Red Horsechestnut, Crimson.
In the recent past clients have gone more often towards natural stone steps due to their low maintenance and large selection. Stone steps are available in random or guillotined cut form. They are offered in various earthy colors such as light gray, dark brown and tan. The steps are available in many sizes, ranging from three to eight feet wide.

I can see the attitude that other reviews are talking about. My yard is a mess, nothing looks better than i could have done myself for 15k less. When i commented on this with the owner he gives me two incompatible responses - that I'm wrong and there's nothing unprofessional about the job but also that he was disappointed in his worker (who he let go) and that he can't find good help these days.

If there's nothing wrong with it i guess the worker wasn't that bad. Alternatively, maybe he has a bad either and is just refusing to make it right. Gave me attitude about how everything was great while taking pictures, no doubt going into his evidence folder in case there were legal action. Then after taking the pics he drove his trailer way off my driveway, rutting up the new grass.

Bet those pics didn't make it into the folder. If you do hire magic, don't pay in full until he's completed the work like a professional. Otherwise he'll just lose interest. I edited this review up to 3 stars because i feel bad criticizing a small business, but I'd never do it again. I can't tell if one star would be being too dramatic.

We had an area under our maple tree that never grew grass. Had Kurt design and install a complete area with steps, retaining wall, ground cover, plants, bushes and mulch. My wife and I couldn't be more pleased. He has created a more usable space with easy access with some privacy too.

Landscape Magic utterly transformed my old, overgrown, outdated, landscape in a matter of days! The landscape design was not only done on time but done creatively so that my home has variations of color from every season. Many perennials were used giving a plethora of height and color throughout my yard and giving us the more "naturalized" landscape look we were hoping to achieve. Kurt, the owner, was professional, courteous, and was willing to take suggestions and tweak the design based on our likes. Couldn't have asked for a better experience and would and have suggested Landscape Magic to many neighbors and friends.

I had a large stone walkway/stairs installed to my front porch. Very satisfied with the work and price. The installers were courteous and professional, finishing the project in two days. This project was completed in 2015.

Update: downgraded from two stars to one, due to there being no topsoil (charged for 25 yards on 8500 sq ft lot) under the sod, half the grass in the front and back has not grown at all this season. Will need to have sod remediation done which will cost $4-5k. I get upset everytime I try to cut the grass, very frustrated for allowing myself to get scammed.

Good job on the stone wall (which earned the second star), would not recommend for sod. Was charged for 25 yards of topsoil ($1600+) for a 4,000 SQ ft of sod and a couple beds. There was no topsoil under the sod, may have been 5-10 yards of topsoil actually used. Sod is two inches lower than driveway, have rolled my ankle countless times due to the poor work. Diagram did not match his work, when corrected I had to pay nearly $2k more to have the wall placed where it initially was diagramed.

Owner insist that he used 25 yards of topsoil; received second opinion from two other landscape companies that told me I was severely taken advantage of. Neighbors that have utilized Landscape Magic said they experienced same troubles. Wish I would have supervised versus putting my trust in a local company.

I don't like giving businesses a low review because reviews can highly impact a business in a negative way and I actually liked the owner but the way the he has handled/responded to my husband's honest google review is highly unprofessional and over the top; and not to mention, his response is untrue. My husband's intentions of the review was to educate others on potiential issues to look out for - as we use reviews to help us make educated decisions.

The owner called my husband after he saw the review and left a somewhat aggressive voicemail saying he was appalled, disappointed, etc by the review and that he wanted to talk to him "like a man". Meanwhile, we have told the owner numerous times the issues we have with the sod and having little-to-no topsoil in certain areas (we have text messages).

The no topsoil issues came to light when we had sitting water throughout our yard and wouldn't drain properly, when the sod was easily removed in the worst spot, there was only clay underneath - which made us question where he put the large amount of topsoil we purchased. And yes, we have two dogs (1 female, 1 male) and of course there will be urine spots with dogs but it has nothing to do with the issues we have raised with the owner regarding the topsoil.

My husband called the owner back after he heard his voicemail (I was there and the owner was on speaker phone) and the owner changed his story several times about where he put the topsoil. At the end of the call he admitted he didn't put topsoil everywhere because he made the decision we didn't need it because we might get a deck at some point and it was done to what he thought was satisfactory.

He never asked us or told us he was doing that but the biggest area of concern is the side of the garage which is not where the deck would be going anyways. At the end of the day we aren't here to make anyone look bad but we paid a lot of money for his work (nearly $20,000) and he did a great job on the retaining wall and is a nice guy, we just want others to be educated on what to look out for as we are not the only ones that had issues.
