I called to try and get an estimate regarding a small job. The gal (wish I got her name) who answered the phone gave me great advise. This company didn't complete a job for me, but they took time to give me great advise for nothing. How awesome is that? Thank-you so much, Lisa G

Jeff is great. He does exactly what he says he's going to do. The work is of really high quality, and he keeps following up to make sure it all works out well. When a small error was made, Jeff contacted us before we had a chance to contact him, and proposed an excellent solution and made things more than right. Very trustworthy.

Overpriced, with super lazy and slow workers. Used them on my back yard landscaping and irrigation in 2007 and the invoice was more than 10% higher than the contracted estimate, plus I'm having to replace all irrigation valves now because they didn't (just used the 30yo ones that were there?). Don't recommend.

Jeff is incredibly rude, unprofessional, and quotes a price several times what other companies do. Thankfully, I didn't hire him, but my experience was very much consistent with what Jennifer D., oren r., and Brian K (the latter who had to sue him) have described in more detail.

The receptionist I spoke to was very polite and generous. I love the layout they presented to me. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

After receiving several exorbitant quotes from several landscapers, we conducted a new round of quotes with design-build landscaper like Confidence. After meeting Jeff and his son Max, I knew we'd found a company that could both achieve our vision and work within our budget. We had a simple but unique project in the foothills of Cupertino with a living roof with native grasses, a decomposed granite path alongside the house with woodland plantings and a custom fire pit designed to utilize some of the onsite materials including several large tree trunks.

We are thrilled with the outcome and also super pleased with the amount of care and attention that we've received post-completion. Not only were Jeff, Max and their crews super professional, but they also finished the job on-time and on-budget which is an absolute rarity in the construction boom the area is in right now. Can not recommend them enough!

Mr Sheehan came for an initial meeting and we thought it went well. A couple of days later he sent us his notes from the meeting and indicated he would be by the house the next week to take some measurements and work on a budgetary proposal. At that point all communication ceased.i wrote him asking as to the status of the visit and the budget but well over a month has passed and nothing has been received. He must have had second thoughts about our project, but letting us know that would have been nice.

Jeff Sheehan and his team turned our bland, weed filled front yard into a lovely lawn-free relaxing space for us and our dogs. After calling many landscape companies, I soon realized my vision and budget were totally unrealistic. Jeff essentially agreed with the others, but patiently explained different options to help lower the cost, and at my urging, he designed a space far different than what I thought I wanted. Jeff's design is both visually pleasing and practical for our application. Seems the negative reviews about Confidence Landscape involve personality differences with Jeff, while first impressions are very important, I wasn't put off by his straight forward, no nonsense manner. Jeff definitely came through on all agreed work, moreover, he even revised his own design by adding flagstone steps, when he wasn't satisfied he had them done a second time, all at no additional expense to us. I've had Jeff and his team manage my yard work for the past 14 years. Jeff and his son are landscape designers not just mow & blows. He's brought in excellent subcontractors to help with some of the tasks and has allowed me to develop my garden as finances allow. He's also introduced me to some really good tree surgeons, but when I just needed a squirrels nest removed (empty), his guys did it for me on the normal route.

I like that they bring their own port-a-potty to construction sites, not leaving it out front to get tipped like some contractors do. Why not 5 stars you say? I know Confidence is a bit on the expensive side. compared to my neighbors I know I'm not going cheap, but Jeff and his team are very good! It's a balance between cost, quality, and time. My time and quality requirements do make things cost more.

The name says it all! Confidence Landscaping is the bomb! As a real estate agent, I work with a lot of vendors. Not all call you back, come to appt. on time, or leave you feeling that you can trust their evaluation of the project. That was not my experience with Jeff. He was personable and knowledgeable and offered great advice. I felt confident with the tips and advice he gave me and will definitely use him again. I'm excited to get my yard looking beautiful and with Confidence Landscaping I will.

We sued Jeff Sheehan, owner of Confidence Landscaping in Campbell, CA, on 3.22.10, in Santa Clara County Superior Court, Small Claims Division, for breach-of-contract relating to a home landscaping job we hired him for in the summer of 2008. The Small Claims Case Number is 7-10-SC-038077. The judge found that Sheehan had both charged us for work he never did, and performed work that did not satisfy the requirements of the Contract to which we agreed and paid.

The judgment against Sheehan was $2213.65 (including court costs and interest paid to us). Sheehan did not try to appeal the ruling. If you think, as I was raised to, that a man's character really reveals itself at a time of adversity, consider this. In the courtroom, when it became pretty apparent to all of us that the judge was going to decide against him, Sheehan leaned forward and said, "Look Your Honor, I can fill this courtroom with satisfied customers." The judge responded, "Yes, Mr. Sheehan, but Mr. K. is here today, and he's NOT satisfied." Sheehan promptly turned his back on the judge to face the rear of the courtroom, and threw up his hands like he'd just been personally insulted.

This was the kind of dismissive behavior I had already experienced with him, but I was still surprised at his gesturing, as the only person sitting there behind us was Sheehan's college-aged son. As the father to my own 4-year-old son, I get that the example I set for him has effects past the moment -- and that a man shows restraint, if for no other reason than knowing his son is watching him.

We hired Confidence to implement landscape and hardscape plans another designer had previously drawn up, and we couldn't be happier. Jeff and his team were great to work with. They communicated well, were responsive to our concerns, were very attentive to detail, stuck to a timeline as well as a budget, and did a beautiful job. Jeff is creative and talented designer.

When we needed to make changes to our original plan, I was able to totally trust Jeff's eye and judgement. When we are ready to do the next phase of our yard, we will ask Jeff to do the design and installation for sure.

It was much less work and less quality in materials than we contracted for, Confidence was greatly off schedule and greatly off budget. The final touch was coming to me in the final day's and saying they forgot to charge 7k for concrete, and it would cost $700 to make the flowerpot drips they installed be operable! This was a very bad experience and hard lesson in trust.

Over 50k was spent on a backyard and the support and follow through were shameful. Jeff says or does whatever he needs to to make more money.it's not about integrity. I just read that they're not insured or bonded, and that's downright scary.

We landscaped our entire backyard with Confidence last summer. I absolutely love our new yard and the entire creative process with Jeff. Even after almost a year if there is a problem in our yard, I give Jeff a call and it is immediately taken care of! That is customer service! My husband and I highly recommend Confidence Landscaping!

Love these guys. We did a major landscaping project in our front yard. They had great ideas, implemented them professionally, and finished ahead of schedule and on-budget. They are a pleasure to deal with -- great customer service and they encourage clients to invest in the right places. Finally, they specialize in tough slopes and in California native low-water plants! Best of the best.
