Im still waiting for this company to cut down a third tree after almost 3 months after cutting down 2 trees and charging my credit card for all three. I've had to contact this company at every single time to see what the status is. Very disappointed in this company. If the owner reads this call me and lets figure this out otherwis refund my money. You have my info.

The first two times they were great. Did everything we asked. I was initially impressed. I even recommended them to our new neighbors. We hired them a third time. We needed trees removed and cut back because the house was being painted. A gentleman came and gave us an estimate, all fair, and a time, which must have been for the next decade, because they never showed up. Now, admittedly we had a wet summer, but after repeated phone inquiries with just an answer of "sorry" we gave up.

Why did I write this review? Because we had to hire a competitor. And we weren't even 1st time clients and had even referred them. Oh well, I guess they don't need the jobs or referrals. Not the only game in town.

Marc and your crew were phenomenal! I can't say enough about their professionalism, knowledge and most of all team work. To find a company that listens and cares about their client especially in this day and age is a gift! Information and details about what to expect were concise and on time. I am so pleased that I chose Carpenter and Costin. I knew from the moment we discussed the project that your company was the one. Trust me. Hiring Carpenter Costin for tree removal, shrub trimming, and stump griding was easy but getting on their schedule was a pain. I had to make frequent inquiries to get on the schedule to get my trees removed and shrubs trimmed. However, the stump grinding and replacement tree planting service was never performed. I got emails from Bonnie about putting it in for scheduling but nothing.

No emails, no calls and no one showed. I'll have to find another company to finish the job in the spring. Paul is a really nice guy and Hector was great. However, I didn't find project scheduling and customer follow-up and satisfaction to be high priorities. I figured that great customer service would come with its high prices. However, I was wrong.

Dealing with Bob Lee, of Carpenter Costin Tree service was a great experience. His crew were professional and curitious. I had a very large white pine tree behind my house that had to be lifted over my house by crane. The crew worked in very windy cold conditions and never stopped other than one break. The crane operator was so impressive as well as the climber to cut the tree in sections. The grounds men worked so hard with crane to keep the branches hitting any objects, what a team. Good job by all. Carpenter is lucky to have a crew like you guys. Well Done.

Carpenter Costin Tree Service is Superior! About a month ago, I had an 80 foot Linden tree, and a tall, listing Pine cut down The crew was outstanding; knowledgeable, courteous, efficient, professional and extremely tidy! They cleaned up all the debris like they were never even there! And as a bonus, they cut down 3 Evergreens that were in pretty bad shape!

I would highly recommend Carpenter Costin, so much so that we're going have them back next year for some landscaping work! If you need any type of tree service, or landscaping, don't hesitate to call on the best, Carpenter Costin! 5 stars!

This was the worst decision I've made for work at my home. I paid them 3 weeks ago and they have only completed half of the work. I hired Carpenter Costin who gave me a quote to remove 3 trees, grind all stumps, and remove all wood. The work was supposed to be completed at the end of November. They came out and cut down two trees on November 30th.

When they finished for the day they asked me for the check (which I foolishly gave them) and they cashed that on December 4th. They left half the wood. After several calls they at least came back and took that away a week later. Today is December 19th and 1 of the trees is still standing and the stump work has not been completed. After calling them 3-4 times a week and being fed excuses like "you're on the list", "we're shooting to be there tomorrow", "our stump guy hasn't shown up and we don't know where he is" They finally informed me they would not be able to complete the work and offered me a $300 refund.

A $300 refund, for the 3 stumps and 1 tree they didn't cut down and for lying to me for three weeks. Thanks. I've attached pictures of the quote and my backyard. The tree you see standing in the backyard was supposed to be cut down. Those 2 stumps are the other pieces of work they didn't complete. I now need to find another company to come out and finish the work that Carpenter Costin couldn't handle.

Carpenter Costin installed a DEFECTIVE "Thermal Bluestone" "Blue Select" patio, and has not rectified the matter, even though the patio is still under warranty. After only 18 months (including a reinstall for an incorrectly laid cross-slope), the majority of the bluestone began separating/flaking, and has steadily continued to worsen. The stones have only been exposed to routine rain and snow, no ice melt or any other substances.

We informed the landscape architect and sent 25 photos. He claimed for weeks he was contacting the supplier/vendor, then informed us the stones were manifesting an "exceptionally rare phenomenon" and recommended power washing the patio, without offering to perform it. If not defective, bluestone does not fall apart like this--power washing will not stop the flaking, since the stones are spongy, and the layers are continuing to separate and peel away.

Many of the stones have also increasingly exhibited dark, rust-colored discoloration. To date, no company rep has inspected the patio, and all of the stones continue to deteriorate, despite two letters sent to the company requesting a resolution. [Photos below are from when the problem first emerged--since then, the flaking, peeling and discoloration has continued to worsen.]

We Carpenter Costin now for the past 3 years. We have used their tree removal service and have been very happy. This year we used them to not only remove a tree but to lay an patio with pavers and run irrigation. We are very happy with the finished product and will use them again, possibly to redo the driveway and walkways
