Great customer care, exceptional service. We had our landscape design done by Harry Villarreal. He listened to our ideas and came up with a beautiful design that was everything we wanted: Texas natives, drought and heat tolerant and pollinator friendly. We're delighted with the results. The installers Josh, Israel and Kevin did a fantastic job! Our transformation was done in two days and when they were done, you would never have known they were here. They hauled off all the old plants and every bit of trash, including the markers for the cable and electric. Thank you Gill Garden! We will enjoy this for years to come.

We normally shop at Turner's Gardenland, but we've struggled to find what we're looking for there lately, specifically native blooming plants. Every worker at Gil's was incredibly helpful today, showing us about a dozen native plants, discussing care, etc. We were approached by three separate workers offering to help, which has never happened at Turner's. Really great experience & our new go-to plant shop!

After 20 years of buying from your Nursery, I am forced to reconsider coming to your business for my nursery needs. While my mother and I were shopping yesterday, , we had an interaction with an older lady at the back area of the store that was awkward and unprofessional. The employee in question refused to speak to us directly and was somewhat passive aggressive as she answered our questions through another employee, even though we were standing right there.

She was using a condescending tone and appeared to be quite put out by our presence. In short, your employee made our shopping experience very negative and uncomfortable. Therefore, we will be taking our business elsewhere in the future.

Great people that strive to make the customers happy, and do an excellent installation of plants, trees, fower beds and so much more. I love working for Gills

Gills Landscaping just finished our backyard and the results are beautiful. Their design included plants and trees and flagstone walkways. We are very pleased with our new backyard. Ernesto and his crew were always on time and polite and courteous. Communication with Ernesto thru out the job was excellent. They also cleaned up after themselves every day. I highly recommend Ernesto and his crew for your landscaping needs.

Gills has done a number of projects for me from major drainage projects (they really saved my house from serious damage) to relandscaping after the freeze when all my trees and plants died. They've done hardscaping repairs to my flagstone and minor spring cleanups/mulching and deadheading. They've added pathways and rock ways to make every area look great.

Everything they do comes out beautiful and functional. They always do their best to find the most logical solutions and cost effective solutions and if they need to do projects in stages, they will. They always answer all my questions with exceptional detail. Their landscaping and gardening staff are professional and friendly. Extremely knowledgeable. Gills makes me feel better about where I live. They don't just make things look better or prettier - they also ensure things work correctly. Ernest and Phillip deserve kudos. Their competence is outstanding.

I have never had a bad experience at Gill's Garden center and I have been shopping there for over 12 plus years. There have been times when I have had to wait to be helped as all the associates were busy helping other customers, which Is totally understandable and there have been too many times to count in which an associate spent valuable time with me and taught me something new about gardening or showed me a better plant option for my yard. Gill's Garden Center may be more expensive than the big box stores but you get excellent customer service and excellent gardening advice and that to me is priceless. IMHO.

While on vacation I stopped here to get a gift for my niece and her husband who had just lost his mother. They live in the area. Place is very nicely stocked and worker's are very friendly. I purchased some very nice wind chimes. They were a little dirty from hanging there and I ask if they could clean them up because I was giving them as a gift.

When the lady came back she had them in the box and the box wrapped in tissue paper and sitting in a very nice bag! This place would be my nursery if I lived here! Really appreciate the great customer service!

They have great plant collection and they also help me take better care of my plants. You can send them an email or send a message on Facebook or call them for guidance. They even let you bring the plant or a leaf back to the store if there is any issue. They replaced 4 plants of mine after my dog got sick as I didn't know those plants were toxic to dogs.

They even advised me which plants to get that would be ok for my dog. If you follow them on Facebook, they have good articles to take care of every plant and grass. I have also subscribed to their newsletter, so I get 5$ coupons every now and then.

Gill Garden Center is my first place to look in Corpus Christi when I am looking for landscape plants, ideas or advice. Their nursery stock always looks healthy and the layout at the nursery is so nice to walk through. It always gives me an idea for arranging a pot. Their staff is always friendly and they always have time to answer a question or give advice. Can you tell I am a big fan of Gill's?!

Love this place! Extremely helpful staff and knowledgeable with all species and variety in tree planting and maintenance! Place is relaxing and very inviting, big shout out to Segundo! Will be back!

The nice people at Gill's always come up with solutions for me. Even if the solution is something they done have in stock, they order it or help me find it. From design services to soil, and of course healthy plants, they get it right.

I have always loved browsing and shopping for plants at this location. The variety and the vibe of the garden has always been a draw to our patronage. Service has always been friendly EXCEPT for today. There are a couple of new employees and their curt and gruff answers, not only to us but to other customers they dealt with was off-putting. It killed the peaceful vibe we have been accustomed to. I rarely write reviews but I think management should know.

Love this garden center. My parents owned a similar one throughout my childhood. I always find interesting plants as well as garden tools & accessories. I live in another state but make it a point to visit Gill's every visit to Corpus!

We moved to the area 2 years ago and thought we would try Gills out. Every time we went to there we had a bad experience. They provided horrible customer service, their staff was not personable, and they did not honor posted prices.

I have been a customer of Gill's throughout the years and have always received outstanding customer service. That customer service incorporates into thier landscaping designer Philip. I would like to take this time to commend Philip and his team for the beautiful landscape design. Philip was a pleasure to work with and his creativity is brilliant!

He spent a significant amount of time at my residence discussing options/suggestions with my wife and I to create the awesome design. The gentlemen working on the project were such professionals and could tell they take great pride in the landscaping projects. The foreman named Jimmy was exceptional and provide detailed updates during the project.

The project concluded about 2 months ago. With that said, Philip has followed up with us twice to ensure all is well and we are enjoying the landscaping. If you are looking for a nursery or a landscape designer this is the place! Many thanks, Philip!

We had an awesome experience at Gills! My husband and I are first time homeowners who didn't know where to start. Preston was super knowledgeable and took the time to help us pick out everything we needed! I highly recommend this nursery.

This place to me, being to so many nurseries and being so frustrated in Texas of nurseries vs. where I'm from, California, is tough in regard to finding people who know what they are talking about and have high quality plants with vast assortment. Happy to say Gill's gives you that! This place is so refreshing! Everybody but 1-2 know a lot of plants and trees!

I love it. I have over 40 trees and plants on my property and I love this places quality control. Most plants here are very healthy when you purchase them which = high rate of success in establishing them in your house. Only con is it can get expensive here vs. Lowes or even Fannicks in San Antonio but it's worth it with product knowledge and quality.

This is one of the best nurseries in Texas! Love the clean organization and layout! Love citrus selection here. Need more exotics. It's Corpus and Corpus is somewhat tropical with moderate temperatures minus the recent extreme in winter. Where is the Starfruit? Guavas (Mexican white)? Or Barbados cherry (not compact)? Smaller Shade Tree gallon sizes that can fit in a SUV?

To name a few. All in all, you live in Corpus go here for trees, citrus, perrenials, veggies and hedges! I'd go to Turners for Avacado and Mango. Not sure why Gills doesn't so Avacado and Mango but I assume it's cause how much both varieties require babying in Texas heat and winter freeze.

On update, after these messages online, they reached out to try and rectify the situation. I showed James Gill the issues I had and he wrote some notes. However, nothing has happened since that time and no communication has occurred. I had some hopes that I would get to an endpoint on this but apparently my expectations are too high.

Called Gill's to take a look at a leaning tree in my yard after Hurricane Harvey. The owner came out and explained each and every tree in my yard and gave his recommendation. Surprisingly, he said I shouldn't do anything! Since I don't know much about trees, his honest response means a lot. I've also had great experiences when I've gone to the nursery. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They've made some great recommendations on how to landscape my yard.

Gill Landscape designed and installed the front and back yard of our new home in Skidmore, Tx. Phillip Elbert designed a beautiful plan for us and it has been such a pleasure working with him. My husband and I love the way it has turned out. We would absolutely recommend Gill's to family and friends.

I am originally from Alabama and recently relocated to Corpus Christi. Gill's has been a life saver for me because the climate in Alabama is 100% different than what we have in Corpus Christi so, as a result, I had no idea what to plant. I am also a novice at gardening and that presents another set of problems. Everyone I met was pleasant and very willing to help me figure out what would work best in my yard.

It is also extremely helpful knowing that whatever Gills's offers will be a plant that grows well in this area. This is unlike Home Depot or Lowes since they have order nationally versus for this area specifically. I have now had my plants for almost a week and they are all doing really well. I will most definitely be recommending Gill's to anyone I meet that needs plants and will be a loyal customer!

Large selection of plants, including some hard to find native plants! Staff is very friendly, helpful and incredibly knowledgable. Prices are good and plants are healthy! They have two locations, both are great.

Gills Nursery is awesome family owned nursery with two locations in Corpus Christi. They have friendly staff are always available to help you and very knowledable about all their plants and products. Their prices are the best in town, and why support Home Depot or Lowes when you can support locally owned Texas families. makes sense to me. Christmas Trees during Xmas time are the best here, they can also design landscaping for your home or business and have ponds, gardens, etc they can build for you. If you need some shrubs, trees, flowers, you name it in the ag industry they have it.

I love this place! Staff is always amazingly helpful and the prices are great. I have had a ton of success with their starters for herbs and veggies. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I'm a fan of this nursery - they have a good supply of plants in different price ranges, and a nice little shop to browse as well. they do a great job with service, and always offer to carry my plants to my car. i go to this nursery over many others in town.
