Pazmany Brothers

We have worked with Pazmany Brothers for several years now. When we wanted to add a hot tub to our yard, we decided it was time for a yard makeover. What an improvement! They really listened to what we wanted, and now we have a lovely oasis both in the backyard and the front. But I'm writing now because I want to note that the team continues to help shape the space, adjusting plants as needed, cleaning out forgotten areas, and helping with new projects, such as my desire for a "secret" paved garden path to a back area where we have some fruit trees.

I love it so much, I've even taken to sketching and painting the garden. And the birds, squirrels, even bunnies enjoy it too! (No, I don't mind bunnies nibbling the lawn, and Pazmany's team understands that, also!) Can't say enough about how they tailor their work to the customer's needs and preferences. Thank you!

We had the good fortune of working with Pazmany bros for a fairly extensive outdoor landscaping and remodelling project and I am really glad that we chose them. We worked closely with Peter and Wayne Morgan and their crew was fantastic. As with any project of this size, there were numerous changes as the project came along. We wanted things modified and adjusted to our tastes and Wayne and his crew were always willing to listen and provide their valuable insight to help make our ideas even better.

Also given the material shortages, Wayne was very helpful in suggesting ideas that would work with our schedules and with the materials available. The quality of the work has been great as well. Cannot thank them enough for the great work!

Wayne and Peter were fantastic. They landscaped our back and front yards and took something that was mehhhhh, they took green painted concrete and turned it into something we didn't believe was possible. Beautiful and usable! 5 stars! Two enthusiastic thumbs up! Would use again!

We had a vision for our backyard and had a rough sketch to go by. Mindy met with us to hear our plans and what we envisioned. We needed the yard done before the holiday weekend because we were hosting a wedding reception. Mindy and the lead on the project, Hector, came on a Friday and we reviewed their plan. The work proceeded on schedule and was completed in the time estimated and well before the holiday weekend. We watched our vision realized and n some ways exceeded as Mindy gave us plant ideas of drought friendly plants and we are back to enjoying time in our backyard!

We worked with Pazmany Bros for a large and complicated exterior project on extended steep terrain. The project included a significant excavation of ivy, trees, existing mortar wall, followed by extensive regrading, tiered extended retaining walls and fortification, drainage, LED lighting, planting, and modern connected irrigation. Peter and Mindy first surveyed my inquiry, and Wayne Morgan ran the project.

His team led by Hector showed up daily, on time, everyday for months. The project was done by hand in intense heat and sun with great ethic day in and day out. The final result was outstanding, and greatly enhances our property. A terrific investment. Pazmany bros also manages the upkeep on landscaping side and have an equally competent and punctual hard working team.

I have just had the pleasure of having my front yard landscaped by Pazmany Bros. I already had artificial grass, but wanted a complete remodel of the landscaping! I also chose put in some lighting and a drip system. Peter (one of the owners) came out to give me a quote and we just clicked. His quote was more than reasonable. His communication and customer service are top notch.

The crew demolished the bushes and the very long hedge and completely did the work in one day! The crew was efficient, professional and communicative. Peter provided other homes in my area that his company had done. I checked one of those on my same street during a walk with my neighbor. It confirmed I had made the right choice. Pazmany Brothers did the landscaping installation for my yard in 2014. They did an amazing job and redid everything including installing a new paver patio, drip irrigation system, and plants/trees/bushes. The yard is beautiful and the envy of the neighborhood. So why am I writing now since this was 7 years ago? I know that I can still call on Pazmany for maintenance or when things go wrong.

My drip irrigation malfunctioned after running perfectly for seven years. The water was running non-stop. I called them and they fixed it within a couple of hours even though we haven't talked in years. Now that's service.

The team did a great job re-landscaping my backyard. Mindy was a great manager with my project. She always stopped by to see how the project was going. She responded to emails quickly and was very helpful with plant and flower ideas. Mindy was very accommodating with last minute additions. The crew was friendly and they did a great job tearing up my yard, replanting and fixing my irrigation system. They always cleaned up at the end of the day. Highly recommend! Thank you!

Great landscaping business. I hired Pazmany Bros. to remodel my backyard for many reasons. First they have great ratings that's well deserved. Peter was honest with me from the beginning. After our first conversation, I knew I could trust him. Hard to find these days. The crew was responsive, always on time, worked hard, and was friendly & helpful.

As with many projects, I had change orders that they accommodated without hesitation and the pricing was always reasonable. Pazmany Landscaping goes above and beyond the call of duty. They say their goal is to make the customer happy. They do that in spades. No pun intended. Lastly, I had an issue 3 months after my project was done that had nothing to do with their work per se.

There was a fence integrity issue that was created because they were trying to remove a tree from it's roots. Peter had no problem sending a crew out to fix it. Wow! I would highly recommend Pazmany to my friends.

We still continue to use Pamany Bros Landscaping for our projects and have added their weekly maint. services. Wonderful service, friendly workers and competitive prices! Thank you Peter!

We're just finishing a complete landscaping of our property. We were starting from nothing: everything that had existed had been removed or destroyed during remodeling. Peter and his crew worked with us and our designer to implement our design at a good price. There were also unique drainage design issues we need help with and Peter took and solved them.

There are a small set of contractors that respond to issues with "we'll fix it" and Peter is one of them. We'll definitely go back to him without hesitation if we need any new work done or if we ever have another project.

We haven't had the opportunity to use Pazmany yet as things got crazy faster than expected with the holiday season and family coming into town but I just wanted to leave some feedback as we were just delighted with how punctual he was. We contacted the company on a Monday morning and we were contacted almost immediately and had a meeting scheduled to walk our property and all of this happened before any of the other companies we contacted even got back to us! We're looking forward to being one of their first projects in 2020 and look forward to work with a company that values communication and punctuality. Thanks again guys.

Peter and his team did an outstanding job helping us to upgrade our back yard. They created a very attractive combination of lawn + terrace + fire pit, bordered by fruit trees and planter boxes for our veggies. They were easy to work with and kept to the promised schedule. We're fans!

Pazmany gardeners use a very loud gas leaf blower. The gardeners are aware of the city ordinance that prohibits gas leaf blowers, but they disregard the ordinance.

I am super happy with the work done by Pazmany Brothers. We had a pool put in at our house, and after it was done the yard and irrigation were pretty much trashed. Peter came over to discuss our project and understand what we wanted. But also gave us some creative ideas that helped everything turn out better than we had hoped for. The team set a schedule and followed it.

Everyone showed up when they said they would, worked hard and cleaned up at the end of each day. Everyone was polite and professional, and they had a good quality control system where supervisors and/or Peter would come by frequently to inspect the work and make sure everything was moving forward according to plan. When we made changes mid-project (sorry Peter!), the team was flexible and was able to accommodate us.

The work was well-done and looked great. Peter followed up to make sure we were happy with everything. A few weeks later, when we spotted some minor issues (e.g. a small patch of grass didn't take root, and a sprinkler head needed some adjustment), they came by quickly and made everything right at no cost. The estimates were accurate. Everything was laid out for us, and we could choose from different options.

After we started the project, when we made changes, Peter quickly advised us on any cost impact, if any. When things came in under estimate (and there were several instances) we were given a credit or refund. After being disappointed by so many other contractors (hardscape, landscape, etc.), I was shocked at how easy it was to work with Pazmany Brothers. They are my "go to" landscapers now and I recommend them to anyone.

I initially had Peter come by and give us a quote on changing to a more water friendly landscape. Our yard is just too large and due to personal reasons, we weren't able to go through with it. I appreciate Peter's suggestions on how to apply for the rebate program, so hopefully I can finish my yard. I recently did some pro bono design work and called Peter asking about how much it would be to replace some plants in the planter boxes in the front.

He said he would do it as a donation to the charity. He came by and said he would clean up the front and power wash the front of the building. Wow! Much more work than I anticipated. So then I find out their irrigation is broken and they don't use it because if floods the street and shorts out the elevator. I tell Peter 2 days before they come and he says, "Don't worry about it. I'm sure we can fix it." They ended up cleaning up the entire building, power washing the entire building, put mulch, new plants, fixed 4 valves and replaced their broken timer.

His staff communicated with us on what their plan was and implemented it. I'm in awe. Thank you Pazmany Bros. Landscaping. I am touched and amazed on how you help our community and our project. Everyone at the charity was touched and grateful of your work. I cannot thank you guys enough. Will post pics soon.

My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Pazmany Brothers throughout most of 2017. As a result of the drought, we pretty much let the landscaping die back in 2015 and 2016. In 2016 we hired a landscape designer to prepare a plan for both the front and back yards. Our project was quite extensive including removal and replacement of concrete patios and walks, removal of several trees, and existing mature plant materials.

The new work included the installation of new flagstone and brick walkways, patios and a new gas fire pit and seat wall. The work also included the installation of new irrigation, both drip and spray, as well as landscape lighting. We interviewed four landscape contractors that were suggested by our designer and settled on Pazmany Brothers to do the work.

It turned out that our Landscape designer, who was supposed to be working with us throughout the construction, moved to Southern California before the construction started and, as a result, would not be available to help us oversee the landscaping construction. When we explained the situation to Peter Pazmany, he suggested several other designers, but by then it was January and everyone was busy. Peter offed to assist in reviewing the plan and personally be involve in plant placement and selection.

We made three trips to two different nurseries looking at and selecting plan materials with Peter, and made several minor modifications to the overall planting plan. There are six mature redwood trees in our back yard. Peter recommended an arborist to inspect the trees and make recommendations to protect the redwoods. Peter visited our project once or twice a week but Kevin, Peter's project foreman, was there every day making it easy to discuss and resolve any issue that may come up.

The plant materials basically followed the designers plan, but with Kevin's help, adjustments were made based on sight conditions. When plant materials were delivered, there were subject to inspection and approval. There were several instances where plants were rejected by Kevin or ourselves due to poor condition or damage. Kevin actually located two large Australian fern at a local nursery that were not called for on the plans that he felt would be a great addition which we added to the area near the fire pit.

The project was started in the middle of January. It turned out to be a very wet spring, and even thought work was difficult, as I recall, there were only three days that no one was working on our project. The project was never left idle for more than two consecutive days when they were waiting for materials. If anything the opposite was true. Whereas most days there may be two to four people working on our project, when necessary there could be up to ten to twelve people working when concrete was being poured or sod being laid down.

We found that both Peter and Kevin, and for that matter all of Peters crew, were very easy to work with and willing to make adjustments in the field without complaint, when requested. Although we had a few extras on our project for changes that we requested, there was not any nickel and diming about minor changes. Overall, I would highly recommend Peter, Kevin and Pazmany Brothers for any landscape construction work you might have. Given the opportunity, I would look forward to working with them again.

Peter seems like a good person but they quote you one price then do not bill you until weeks later going over the set budget you agreed to originally. They bill roughly 80-90/hr for the labor which most of the work was not agreed upon. Make sure you get the scope of work and set the price in writing before working with Pazmany Bros Landscaping. Responding to Peter- we had no written agreement in you moving forward with a lot of the work.

You charged us 42/hr x 2 people which comes out to about $84/hr for your labor. I gave you a quote on the work you did for 7k via email and you felt you could add on numerous other little details without my consent or written consent nor a change order which is required by law. You also billed us weeks after your team was gone. I wish we could have figured this out before we completed our yard.

Now having completed most of the work as well as fixing a few of the mistakes made by your team I do think you overcharged us and took advantage of the situation. I hope people take the time to interview other companies before making their decision.

Peter Pazmany abd his crew know how to create drought-resistant gardens that are beautiful, with variety and still fulfill California's water restriction requirements. We are saving more than halt with the cleverly placed dripp system. The maintenance crew keeps everything look vibrant. Thank you!
