Rich built a 100' long retaining wall at my new house that solved a number of problems. I had tons of wet areas from water shedding down my hill and the soil kept eroding. It looked horrible and was a swampy mess. He put in a beautiful desert sand Versalock retaining wall and a drainage system, and it turned the worst looking part of my house into the best!
I knew his work from my last development where he put in several retaining walls and they have held up a look great. The guy operates a dozer like nobody's business. Good guy and high-quality work.

Don't do it. Rich is a smooth talker.until it comes to the building of your pond. Once the contract is agreed, deposit it paid, Rich brings college kids over that can't handle the work and he stands there and tries to convince you that this is fine. No Rich, it wasn't and I shouldn't have let you off the hook, but I just really wanted you out of my yard.
For $7000 bucks you should have done the job right. Now a few years later, your "creation" is falling apart. Waterfall needs rebuilt and what was an agreed contract 6ft x 12ft pond 3ft deep is more like 5ft x 10ft x 2ft deep. Cheap work, cheap labor.
