Barthuly Irrigation

I've had it with these guys! We've been using them for over 13 years. I bought a contract last year, but didn't use it since it was such a wet summer, and said they would honor the contract this summer. Today they said they sent someone to activate the system last June, but no one was here and they charged the contract $180 for a service call. $120 for the service call, and $60 for waiting a half hour.

I have no record of making an appointment, and received no phone calls about them coming to my home last June. I've put up with some of their pretty rude technicians over the years, and this is the last straw. These guys are also markedly more expensive than most, if not all, of their competitors, and on numerous occasions I've had to significantly adjust the sprinkler heads, and have found units tossed to the side and no replacement installed.

Purchased a home where the previous owner was in contract with Barthuly for lawn care and winterization. The company completed the winterization however left water in the return backflow line which ultimately broke the line (not completely blown out). I attempted to call, email them upon the advice of our water districts recommendation for the annual backflow testing and they initially were pressuring to try to get into contract with them before they would even schedule to come test for the backflow.

I called and emailed several times and could not get on the calendar but was met with possible contract talk. I asked about the valve location and was again diverted to - you guessed it- contract and more " we will email you when we can schedule you". Never heard back from them. - I contacted another local company and I'm glad I did. - I'd steer clear of this one

Until our start up this year, we were fairly happy. When they came out to start our system on April 27th, they did not do a proper check of all circuits. We had one entire circuit leaking, and three nozzles that were not operating. In the past, we would get an estimate of any repairs, and normally they would adjust heads without charging if it was minor.

They came back out to fix the leak, and then charged us for removing a sliver of pvc. We've been calling to speak for a manager for a month, w/o any manager contacting us. The people we speak to are nice, but it seems their service has slipped, and despite being told a manager would contact us, this has yet to happen. We were not going to look for another irrigation company, but we will now.

I just wanted say I have not regret using Barthuly's irrigation system. From the time I made my deposit until BI stated was about two months. Which was about the time line I had been told. The workers did a great job laying out the irritation system. Adam came my a week later and looked everything over. I did notice two of the sprinklers was not covering part of a small incline.

Few weeks later Daniel can out and replaced one of my sprinkler heads. He replaced two of my sprinkler heads that would cover more of the area. It works great now. He did explain the controller some questions I had on the controller. Very nice young man. BI came out in April and did the spring maintenance done. I'm not sure what happen but, not sure of the name, I was given an insulated jacket to cover the back flow jacket I believe for winter. Otherwise, I extremely happy I choose BI

We had a prepaid service agreement with Barthuly Irrigation, which includes winterization of our system. Barthuly did not perform this service in a timely fashion and that led to the broken backflow valve. Winterization has always been performed on a regular schedule, and we had some construction ongoing during that time, but we were never informed that we had to reschedule the service.

We were told that Barthuly would be back out in a couple of weeks and thought the service had been performed. We were charged for the broken backflow vavle and challenged the charge. After 9 weeks with no response, we received a late payment bill. After reaching out again, we still have not received a response. We will never use this service again and suggest no one else does either.

Daniel provided great service on two recent trips to my home to repair multiple complex issues with my irrigation system, issues that several other companies walked away from. Daniel took it all in stride with a smile, told me all the issues and created a well thought out plan on how to bring the system back up and running. The scheduling team has been great and I really appreciate all the efforts the full Barthuly team have made for me.

This company installed my system in a new construction build (not my choice to use them for the install, I had no idea who they were). Once i learned who was doing/did the work i have tried to reach out many times. They're completely unresponsive, uncommunicative and downright rude. Every time I have interacted with anyone from the company when they actually do respond has been less than helpful - unbeknownst to me, I had 2 years of service included - would have been nice to know before I hired someone else. seriously?!? Try phoning your customers - emailing them, SOMETHING! Hence why I will no longer use them.

I initially left a 1 start review because when I called to set up service with Barthuly I was told they were not taking on new customers even though they had serviced the property we bought for years and installed the system originally. I completely understand not taking on new customers to install sprinklers but was extremely frustrated they would not service a property that they had serviced for years just because the original family moved away.

Upon leaving my initial review the owner of the company contacted me within an hour of the review to try to make things right. I highly respect a company especially an owner who takes the time to read all their reviews and personally reaches out to potential customers to try to make things right. We am excited to see the work that Barthuly does when they come out to service us for winter as they were highly recommended.

Thank you for quickly coming back out to help out. Levi walked me through the situation. Walked the property and was able to repair a leak caused by another company (Westfield Sprinklers) when they set up neighbors system. Everyone I speak to is knowledgeable and helpful.

The Barthuly team from start to finish was absolutely outstanding. Throughout the project, I was so impressed with their communication, knowledge, and follow through. Every time they said they were going to do something, it happened. Barthuly dramatically exceeded our expectations on the timing and quality of irrigation system installation, their crews were professional and kind, and they kept me updated through the process. I could not be more pleased, and I look forward to working with and recommending Barthuly for years to come.

Barthuly just completed the addition of new irrigation zones. This was not an easy job as it required a lot of hand digging. They did an amazing job of getting into flower bed locations that required going under decks, sidewalks and around a retainer wall. OB did a professional CAD design that outlined new valves and heads which Brett verified before the job was started.

The installation technicians were very professional and did an outstanding job of protecting our property including all of our landscaping. It's great to work with professionals. Kudos to the entire team.

Javid was on time and professional. He took the time to explain everything in detail and ensure all of our questions were answered. Would certainly recommend Barthuly Irrigation! I love that they stay in contact with us each Spring and Fall too and are always on time.

Barthuly is dependable, and isn't that what you want with an irrigation company? They are organized and professional, and keep a schedule. They contact us every spring and fall. They properly take care of starting our irrigation system in the spring and checking everything, then in the Fall they winterize all of the sprinkler heads. They will come mid-summer and check the heads for proper coverage of the lawn and to make sure they are all functioning.

We had landscape work done and they came and adjusted some heads because of the re-grading work we had done. When there was a labor shortage this spring and many companies couldn't find enough help (two of my neighbors' sprinkler companies), Barthuly was right on schedule with their sharp employees. Our grass was green and healthy quickly in the spring, while neighbors waited for weeks until their sprinkler companies could fit them into their schedule. Barthuly employees are pleasant and conscientious.
