Visited for the first time today and had an amazing experience. The place is beautiful and all the plants were healthy and thriving. I struggled not to spend all the money I had with me on the lovely plant options they had as well as the beautiful pots and plant accessories they had inside. I walked out with a cart full of plants that made my balcony look great! Will be back soon!

Really beautiful nursery with a great selection of flowers, , plants, and plant containers. The small gift shop has so many cute items and the sweetest kitty was inside to pet! Best flower selection I've seen in a while.

Wonderful selection of herbs! Clean grounds, beautiful plants. If you're really rethinking your landscaping definitely come see the trees!

Even though I am an avid plant mom, with dozens of babies of all different ages, I don't get over to Sneads often enough. When I do visit, I am always in awe of the variety of plants in inventory. I also LOVE the way this space is presented and organized. I went today in search of two plants I do not own and I found both. I couldn't justify the $40 price on the giant Monstera, which was actually priced better than all I'd seen recently.

I did purchase a small Prayer Plant that I'd been wanting for a while. It's beautiful! Because I'm an Elite yelper, I also nabbed a free Catnip plant for my kitty cat. If you are nearby, looking for anything in the plant world, inside or out, do stop in. You will find what you need as you leisurely stroll the grounds. (I even picked up an application for employment!)

Very poor response trying to get 5 trees replaced or refunded that died. I also paid for them to plant the trees. Went over there twice the first time in February to advise them about the trees. They said they had to wait to get more trees in. Again went over there about the end of March. Got the same story waiting for trees to come in. My wife told them she had called to inquire about the trees and they were to call her back, but they did not return.

One of the ladies said we don't have time to call everybody. I advised her we had bought $800.00 worth of trees that died and I didn't think we were everybody. Well that was two weeks ago and nothing yet. The trees came with a one year warranty. I hate to do this but if my trees are not replaced by the end of this month or we get a refund, we are going to turn it over to a Lawyer. They really don't act concerned

Always an adventure. This is like falling down a rabbit hole. Plan to be there for a while. Something wonderful or curious around every corner. I am a life long customer since being introduced to this gem. Thank you for your response to my post.how about a teacher/first reponder discount?

I recently went to Sneed's on the recommendation of a friend, as I'm still relatively new to the Richmond area. What a treat! I bought a beautiful Christmas wreath, some fresh greenery, and a Christmas cactus. The woman who cut the greenery for me was very nice, and I loved looking around the indoor shop where there are lots of beautiful ornaments and Christmas decorations. It's a bit pricey but I liked supporting a local business, plus I liked how festive it felt there.

Love this place so much. Great selection of everything you could need for your flower or veggie garden. They also have seasonal classes, flower arrangements and the most lovely little garden shop. Staff are always knowledgeable and helpful

We have always found Sneed's to be very helpful and customer oriented. Some items will likely be found cheaper at Home Depot, but we like the attention to detail and customer service at Sneed's. HD & Lowes certainly have their place, but so does Sneed's.

I was leading a tree planting volunteer project and had zero knowledge about anything--what we needed, how much, all that stuff--and they were so kind and so patient with me throughout the whole process. I worked very closely with Deb and she was wonderful--answered all my questions (sometimes the same question multiple times), made the process super easy, and sent over step-by-step instructions. Could not recommend them enough: go get your trees at Sneed's!

For years they have everything you need for house plants to shrubs to ponds aquatics staff is very knowledgeable extremely polite and helpful covid-19 practices were excellent hand sanitizer and mass everywhere for everyone

Sneed's hands down has some of the nicest and most knowledgeable staff around. Selection of indoor and outdoor plants and prices are great. Will definitely continue to buy my house plants, flowers, fruits and vegetables from them. Do yourself a solid and check them out next time you're in the market for anything plants.

Botany plants lately? I have bought quite a few over the years from Sneeds Nursery. It's quaint cottage feel keeps me coming back. I look forward to coming and walking around looking at all the beautiful things they have to offer. A wide variety of plants, vegetables, trees, shrubs, soils, fertilizers, pots, and mulch mulch more. Yep I told you this place was kinda a big Dill. What's the white stuff on my phlox?

My iris leaves are turning yellow. why? Why won't the blooms on my Camilla open? Don't get your Pansies in a bunch Jessica has the plant-swers. Helping to keep all your flowers blooming and free from pesty insect. When it comes to your garden put your best root forward and head on over to Sneed's. Your neighbors will all be green with envy!

I went for a different variety of Kale and they did not disappoint. Plus the staff is just wonderful. Great way to spend a cool Saturday morning. Can wait to find a spot for them amongst the rest of the garden friends

I've been here two years in a row for Christmas trees and each time the staff is helpful and knowledgeable. This year we also wanted some garland for around our front door, and they helped us understand style and length, and also showed us where and how to twist in holly berries to add some color - our garland worked out perfectly! Super friendly and respectful people - and everyone was extra careful with wearing masks and gloves when necessary. Recommend for Christmas trees, garland, and good service!

Going to Sneed's Nursery is the highlight of my day. So many beautiful and healthy plants to choose from, and the staff can help you find what you are looking for. Employees wear masks, and the carts are cleaned after each customer.

Very nice little nursery, not something I expected to find in a place like Richmond. Unfortunately we came during the winter time so the outside didn't have a lot going on, but they had a nice inside section. Plenty of tillandsia, some of the healthiest I've honestly seen most anywhere. Also had a small amount of succulents and a couple cacti, which I can never resist.

So I made my foray into real plants from fake plants here at Sneed's nursery. I have gone to Strangers in the past but found this atmosphere to be much more inviting. Grace assisted me and totally did not judge when I asked her to point me in the direction of the hardest to kill plants. She guides me towards an Aloe Vera, so I can become a natural healer or something and a Snake Plant so I can hang it up without much sunlight. I'm very happy with my purchase and will definitely return when the boyfriend approves my outdoor sacred space idea. Tip: Strange's DOES offer Eucalyptus at a lower cost. Def come here!

This little Christmas tree, so perfect for my small living space and for my personal needs, went up a month ago. She is still as fresh as the day I bought her! I may "undress" her a bit today, but she will grace my space for awhile longer.

The best most knowledgeable staff around. They KNOW this area! They are very kind and helpful. I recommend them to everyone. They have a great selection with new stuff coming in all the time. The set up is impressive too. Chickens walking around to help control pests, Bee hives for pollinating and lots of natural products. I am a forever customer!

I love this nursery. The folks who work here actually know what they are talking about and if they dont they will find someone who can answer your question. They have an excellent selection. And their evergreens are amazing! So many interesting cultivars! I could spend all day here!

Plant yourself here! Lovely nursery that makes you feel at one with nature. From perennials to annuals to herbs to veggies, the plants here will make your neighbors green with envy. I love the steppables, creepers for walkways and ground covers. They also carry trees and shrubs, I almost came home with a gorgeous red bud tree! Instead, I filled my car with annuals, herbs and a few houseplants. There's a hut filled with garden tools and accessories, lots of potting soils, and a stone and statuary area for spicing up your yard.

The prices are fair to middling, I bought plants here before and they are heartier than the "grocery store variety ". I was well greeted by the garden expert at the information booth and check out was on thyme! I'll give Sneed's two green thumbs up!

Most attractive nursery/gift shop in town! This place is easy to walk around yet carries a huge variety of plants. The shop inside is always filled with unique treasures- the perfect place to shop for plant lovers. My dog loves it too.

Sneed's ROCKS! Everyone there works as a team, a "team of one." My wife and I especially want to compliment Chris Pega who's been doing a great job taking care of our shrubs, flowers and trees. Awesome place to buy plants. Wide variety of plants, shrubs, trees, etc. I got my first bonsai tree here earlier in the summer. They gave me plenty of great advice. Going into the fall now and I haven't killed my tree yet! If you haven't been to Sneeds you are missing out!

On the plus side is the customer service. The employees are helpful and friendly. The selection this time of year is outstanding. The prices gave me sticker shock even though the plants look great. For example, Mahonia was $10 more than at Southern States; perennials are $7.49 for a small one. But if you want more unusual shrubs and perennials, this is the place to go if you are willing to pay the price.

In my experience, everything I have bought there has done just so so, so unless it is something you can't find anywhere else it might save a few bucks to shop around. It really would be helpful if their inventory is online some some places. Thus, if I see a garden which has something I like, I first check with Glen Allen Nursery which has their's online.

I cannot sing high enough praises for this nursery. Kat, the person who helped me, not only took time to explain the pros and cons of every tree I chose for my yard but she made sure that I had the knowledge to get the best deal for my budget. I think that when you go to a place and you just feel the professionalism and passion from every person that works there, you are immediately inspired. Great customer service experience. Thanks!

I am so happy I found Sneeds! Each time I've visited, they have been more than eager to help me and have entertained all of my questions. Most (if not all, not sure) of their veggie and herbs are organic, and they continually being back veggie plants that have done well in the past. They also have a great seed variety, a huge array of purty flowers and an overwhelmingly impressive landscape section.

If you are lucky enough to find Kath, she is a lovely lady who will dazzle you with gardening tips and lovely conversation. Sometimes walking into a nursery can be a bit intimidating, but I never felt that at Sneeds. I'm overly happy with the service and product there--they've just earned a new customer for life! :)

Wonderful, non-judgmental people who gave me great recommendations on plants which was extremely helpful for a non-green thumb novice! If you're looking for ideas and help I would strongly recommend these guys!

Wonderful nursery and friendly knowledgable staff! They have a wide selection of plants for decent prices. The plants are all very healthy and something that made me happy is that they allow dogs! They also have classes on some Saturday's. I haven't taken any yet, but I do like that they offer this service. I would highly recommend!

Great nursery. I went for the first time today. I took advantage of their free planning service. You can make an appointment for a weekday and a landscape designer will design the project for you. Then you get 10% off any of the plants required. I created a 15x15 flowerbed. I had a great plan comprising of shrubs and perennials designed and purchased the plants.

They look great in my yard. I was apprehensive about the prices but they were just as good if not better than HD or Lowes. Not to mention the far greater selection. Also the plants seem far greater quality with good roots. Staff friendly and loved the cute cashiers office. I will be back again for sure for any future landscaping projects.
