Schill Landscaping & Lawn Care

My aunt is an 80 year old woman who's HOA uses the services of Shill. She's tried calling Shill multiple times with no response. The pictures below depict the type of service they provide. She is on a fixed income and now has to pay for her home to be professionally power washed and for piles of grass clippings to be removed from her yard. 6/21 follow up - Schill reached out and made this right. I applaud them for taking responsibility.

Critical: Quality Like some of the other reviews we are in an HOA. Not doing what we were told they would do. Haven't cut my grass two weeks in a row. Not edging-not trimming shrubs-haven't put our mulch down. I have called HOA as well as Schill no response! Wish we could get new landscaping company. Throwing our money out the window! As I sit in my office watching the barely trained employees cut grass where I work, cutting and aiming his mower shoot so it discharges all the clippings into the flowerbeds I am reminded the same company and exact same crew does the HOA where I live. This year 2022 the service is actually worse as this new crew of employees leaves huge areas of grass not cut, and cannot string trim, leaving most of the areas without any trimming or very poorly done.

They have ridden their mowers into structures as I have watched this both at work and at home and seem to not be able to handle the blowers either as they never clean off the deck, porch, and sidewalks as is part of the contract.

Schill does my brothers place and it has been impeccable for years. Obviouss choice for our new pland and they have been exceptional through this first year. We will be renewing in the future. Oh and Lori in sales and Kevin are both great as our contact people. No respect for employees reguardless of time invested I had 10 years with them and gave 1 month notice and they approved me 40 hours Paid time off I earned from the previous year knowing they weren't going to pay me had I known this I wouldve worked I relied on this money to pay bills then when payday came nobody in the company will reply they ignore me and tell me contact corporate that's all I've made this company millions of dollars in 10 years of employment there and I can't pay my mortgage on time because I relied on them don't support this company they will not care about you or their employees

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality Every aspect of this company is awful, and that is even if they show up!

On December 7, Schill was doing the leaf cleanup on the lawns of the Silver Oaks Estates homeowners. The team did a terrific job that did not go unnoticed. They cleaned up the front sidewalk up to the front door, removed leaves from plants. We noticed that they made the extra effort to move the leaf line from the Metroparks area off the grass part of our property back into the trees. We appreciate their great job. Ed and June

Same experience as some other reviewers. Recommended plants for areas of the yard; plants died; won't replace. Pictures below. Told that their policy is to not replace perennials, even though they were just put in less than 3 months ago. Timely response from account manager, but nothing was resolved to my satisfaction. Just don't use this company.

After working with Britt and not getting resolution on basic issues of the landscape job, I reached out to Jim Schill the owner. Both men promised to address the issues of poor plant material, incorrect planting, and incorrect placement of trees. The Schill team could not evenly space a basic row of trees along the side of the building. After one and a half years, numerous calls and discussions and paying $10,000 to Schill these men have not addressed the problems that they created.

Their solution is for me to purchase more trees to make up for their lack of following the plan. I invite you to come see for yourself the poor quality of work and the poor quality of plant material that was incorporated into the landscape of my office building at 17112 Pearl Road in Strongsville Ohio. On a positive note, the grass came in ok (see pictures). UPDATE 12/23/2020: I did respond to Schill's offer to call them to see if they can make the job right.

I left 2 messages with 2 different people and they both promised that someone would get back to me. After 2 weeks of waiting, Schill representatives still haven't attempted to contact me. VERY VERY DISAPOINTING! Apparently Schill's inaction is an indication that they are not as disappointed as I am dissatisfied and they truly could care less.
