Update for 2022 - We continue to offer delivery of our products and landscaping services to the general public. However, our sales yard will no longer be open to the general public. If you are a contractor, please contact us to learn more about our wholesale pickup hours. Lawns Unlimited, Inc. is owned and operated by Bill and Karen Sutphen. Since 1972, we have served the greater West Shore area with a variety of landscaping services to meet your individual needs. In 1978, we moved to our present location (two miles west of the borough of Mechanicsburg).
Services
Small stones and dirt clumps remain after we process it. The customer will have to 'work' the topsoil to remove approximately a quarter of a wheelbarrow of debris per cubic yard. This soil is good for applying to deeper areas. Being very high in nitrogen, it should not be used straight because it will burn plants if not mixed with topsoil.

I can't say enough good things about Lawns Unlimited. They have been responsive, professional, and friendly throughout the entire process. I had hardscaping done to my back yard; a new patio, retaining wall and fire pit. Adrian and Brian were not only on time every day but they were very thorough with their work and took pride in what they did! They exceeded my expectations and I'm extremely happy with their service!

The owners of Lawns Unlimited (Bill and Karen) have been excellent to work with over the years. Just this week they completed another job for us, and they did so ahead of schedule! Their workers are polite, and ca be trusted to do their work properly and with attention to detail. I highly recommend this landscaping service.

Lawns Unlimited did a raised flower bed for us, a few months ago, and we're very pleased with the finished product and how smoothly it went. A few months later we asked them to do a patio with an attached walkway to our alley (all Halifax flagstone with brick border). We had Matt, Adrian and Pete for three days replacing the old broken walkway and installing the patio. Polite, professional and efficient.
Our curious five-year old "supervised" them as they busted their humps in the summer sun and they were super nice in answering her endless questions. They also re-did our small, uneven, trip-hazard front landing. We love our new patio. We'll be using Lawns Unlimited again.

Everyone I have talked to has been so friendly and helpful. When the details of my project were messed up (my fault) they were super accommodating, adjusted my deliveries, and went out of their way to help me keep my project on time. I will use them for every future project where their services are applicable.

Great place. Everyone is very nice and helpful. I ordered sand for under my pool. They were able to deliver the next day for me; which was a Saturday! The delivery truck showed up a few minutes early and was able to dump the sand right where I needed it. The price was exactly what was quoted and they don't over charge on delivery costs like all the other places I called. I will definitely be using them again for future projects.

They delivered soil as scheduled, but not only did they dump the soil on top of two sheets of expensive polycarbonate that was weighted down with wheels, waiting to be put on the high tunnel, but they drove their truck over, rendering it unusable. I called to let them know what they had done, and they denied it, were rude and refused to pay for the damages.
I am a small business, and prefer to use local small business, but will never use this company again, and would not recommend them. I am a small farm, and can not afford to buy another $400 worth of polycarbonate to finish my high tunnel, this affect my ability to grow for my customers and market.

A friend of mine had ordered yards of soil from this company and it was delivered atop a $400 polycarbonate sheet she had sitting in her yard being weighted in preparation of placing it as roofing for her greenhouse. Not only did the delivery driver, a Lawn's Unlimited Employee, not ask where to make the delivery, he denied damaging the polycarbonate sheet in the process.
Even though there were very clearly large tire tracks left on the polycarbonate after he dumped the load of soil where he assumed would be a good place, he stilled denied he caused the damage. Now a representative of this company proceeds in trying to negate responsibility by refusing to correspond with my friend about the incident, refuses to offer liability information for his insurance, and now is erasing negative reviews on the company's social media pages.
There is no integrity in the management of this company. Go to someone that cares about their community and conducting quality and ethical business practices. My farmer friends do not deserve to be out $400 in such trying times for those providing food when it's becoming more scarce right now. We need to support each other, not wrong each other and fail to be accountable. Lawn's Unlimited can still make this right.
