Big Value Garden Center has a wide variety of plants and flowers as well as many plant foods and gardening supplies - all at very reasonable prices.

I really like this nursery. The plants are healthy. They carry a surprising number and variety of Florida native plants. The employees are knowledgeable and helpful.

Cool and helpful staff, very knowledge about the flowers and amazingly friendly. This place is really big and very well stocked with a huge assortment of trees and flowers. Picked up some geraniums and a pot holder for the balcony.

So I just worked part of a shift at bvgc. I was told $12 an hour was totally fine in my interview, I signed paperwork with that wage on it. I was told to show up the next day for a full shift of long, hard work in the FL sun. I was totally fine with that for the pay I'd already been told was ok. 2 hours into my first day and I'm told "woopsy we only pay minimum wage, is that ok?" So I cut my losses and didn't waste any more time there. Fast-forward to picking up my paycheck for that day and I have to listen to the owner berate me like she didn't waste my time with her lies. Anyway the plants are overpriced buy them online like they do

Visited for the first time this afternoon. I was looking particularly for stonecrop/sedum (and maybe a succulent if it caught my eye). Turns out that I am just a bit early for sedum and stonecrop season. Customer service was very good with me as they took me around to a few different places and pointed out the plants they had that were ground cover, or acted like a ground cover/sedum.

I mentioned to the employee that I had recently moved to the area and she recommended some ideas and topsoil so the plant I bought would thrive. I noticed a different employee bring out a cart to stock shelving a few minutes later-- there it was, my ground cover/sedum (an Ice Plant today). I see some reviews that are complaining about the price, but I am very happy with it.

I've seen some similar plants at Walmart/Lowe's that are a few dollars more. Oh, I would also like to mention I was informed that all the plants that are brought to this garden store use organic pesticides, should that be helpful for future customers. So, I'm very happy with my experience with the product I was looking for, friendly customer service and price. I'll definitely be returning to see their selections in the future.

This place used to be great. Low prices, good assortment of products and friendly reliable staff. Now it must be under new ownership or management and they could care less about their products or staff or long-term customers. Prices on things I buy regularly have doubled and now are more expensive than what I can pay at Home Depot or Amazon.com with shipping!

Thinking about placing a special order there? Forget about it. They will never call you to say your order came in. They will put it on the shelf and sell your specially ordered items to any walk-ins. I miss the people that used to run the place. I shopped there today for the LAST time. Never again. Not worth it. I imagine this store will soon go under and become another gas station convenience store. What a shame, because they have been there for nearly 100 years. Bye Big Value.

Really love the variety; especially how many Florida native plants are available! Update: went back again this season to grab some more plants, and was even more impressed! Lots of great native varieties in beautiful shape and the service was top-notch! Hands down, my favorite garden center in the area!
