My mentors played a significant roll in helping me to develop my style and artistic side. Bill Jory, renowned California Nurseryman and Bay Area Landscape Contractor, encouraged me to start my own business, and guided me with the knowledge, confidence and inspiration to be successful.Livanos Landscaping began in Castro Valley, CA and was a growing business when my wife and I decided to relocate to the Sierra Foothills.

We are extremely pleased with the level of professionalism, expertise, and quality of work. The project came in on time and on budget. It looks better than I ever imagined.

Wish I had checked this sooner. Fortunately, the contract went "south" prior to actual work, but lost a few months and could have had the project done by now with someone more communicative and cooperative. Enough said, look elsewhere.

Horrible experience with this company. Months later finding all sorts of things wrong in addition to everything that was left undone to begin with. see my full, detailed review on Yelp.

This man has got to be the worst person I've ever had to work with. He was hired to put a fish pond and landscape in my mother's yard. The property had been burned in the Butte Fire. She is elderly and has been battling skin cancer. Peter was paid in full up front. He expanded on the existing damaged pond and built a waterfall. The pond leaks.

There are large cracks in the cement, chicken wire pokes thru ( I've cut myself on it). He sloped the landscape above the pond without drainage so when watering the plants dirt flows into the fish pond! He also dumped dirt in the pond and left it saying it would be too difficult to get it out! He was paid a lot of money to do this job and it was important to my mother to have something nice.

He felt insulted when we expressed our anger and disappointment and left! Never came back to fix what was now a mud pond with our fish in it. He also didn't bother putting a filter, only a pump so all the dirt stayed in the pond. It's been a month. I finally had enough waiting for him to show some professionalism and hired an attorney. Peter was given the opportunity to come and fix the mess he left with only my mother there so he wouldn't feel uncomfortable being around me.

He ignored the offer. Hence the attorney. Now we wait. I've also reported him to the contractors board and found out his license expires May 31, 2018. Beware this guy scams the elderly and is a terrible landscaper. See he recent reviews.

I waited a long time to give this review and gave Peter EVERY opportunity to make things right, but honestly he's not interested. It's all about getting the money in his pocket. The process starts with a weak rendition of what he plans to do and ends with disappointment. Minimum standards, no pride in workmanship, low quality help, only do what's absolutely necessary, no thought or concern for future development or additions, no follow-up, only warranty dead plants if he has to. This is what you get for your money. Good luck!

I was nervous about investing a chunk of money on something I couldn't see, like the renovating of my front lawn to a low-water scape. Found a picture and showed it to Peter. He was great - he has the ability to envision something from nothing and make it happen. I could tell we were on the same page. He and his hard-working crewman, Sean, worked hard and steadily and gave me a lovely dry creek, and low-water group of flowering plants that had people stopping to admire!

He was patient and calm amidst the owner-anxiety moments and just kept going with his vision! They completed the job in a few days and did a great clean-up job before they left. I am very satisfied with his work, love my new look, and would recommend him if you are looking to shift from your beloved grass lawn to something attractive for the drought!

Peter is without question the most difficult man to work with! We spent a fortune on landscaping and have been spending months trying to get him back to finish the job and fix all of the stuff he did wrong! Two fountains don't work, plants dead all over the place and a grass watering system that has created a swamp! He won't return calls won't return emails! DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN!

I have a feeling that the only way I will get him to fix everything is to call a good lawyer! Funny thing is. He has pictures of my house on his Facebook and his website! Boy I hope he has prospective customers call me I will give them the name of a real landscaper! As I stated before DO NOT HIRE!

I completely trust the artistry, insight and intuition of Peter. These are things you have to have a natural talent for, and Peter does!

I love these guys! I never hesitate to refer my friends and clients to them, as they are incredibly professional as well as creative. They completely transformed the property of some good friends, using rocks and other things (old concrete tubs as planters- totally worked). On another project, Peter noticed that one of the owners was walking with a cane and gently suggested a wonderful solution to get to a lower part of their property- they hadn't even asked, but you know, years from now they will still be thanking him.
