Love these guys! I bought my first mower from them, 10yrs ago. I traded that one in for an upgrade 4yrs ago. I bought 2 of their mini bikes as well. They always give me a good deal. I continually break my machines. They have always done their best to get them repaired quickly for me. Recently, I was having trouble with my zero turn and they said they would give me a loaner to carry me over until mine got fixed.

I told them that a push mower would do fine for the areas I had left to mow. Mike (the owner) ended up giving me a push mower (instead of a loaner). I was stunned! The mechanics, Johnathan, Levi and Carl are the best! They always walk me through what they did to my machines, explaining it all in detail. I really appreciate that! Anyways, I love this place!

Super friendly and helpful team there at L&M. They took extra time to show me new equipment options, and also helped me save time with retreiving the parts I very much needed to keep my equipment going. Levi was very helpful and shared his experiences and feedback. They not only repair and maintain equipment, but also sell quality new (and some used) equipment, although primarily focusing on the new. Finance options available as well.

My neighbors Riding lawnmower started smoking so she had l& M come and pick it up I helped him load it. after a few weeks he returned it with a $750 bill. most of the work that was done to the motor was unnecessary and still didn't fix the problem, after calling him for my neighbor and asking why he replaced parts that didn't need to be replaced he asked if I was a mechanic I said yes I am and you still have an answered while you replace parts that you didn't need to replace and didn't fix the mower he then threatened me to come there and say this to his face. this is not the first time I have heard that he takes it atvantage of people but to take it atvantag of a widow woman and basically tell her he's doing nothing to fix her mower is wrong don't take your equipment to L&M

Absolutely one of the best repair shops I've ever seen in all of Northwest Arkansas. The owner, Michael, is very personable and knowledgeable as is his son and the people that I dealt with in the shop. I would go there again with any small engine issues, even though it's a long ways from Garfield.

Dropped off almost new mower with less than 20 hours. asked for oil change, lube and blade sharpen. The mower was running fine, I noticed two low tires as I unloaded it and asked him to air them up and said I would fill them with slime when I got it back. Total $380.00 YEP! Dang near 400 smackers! They performed (or said they did) the following totally unnecessary tasks. 1. Sealed the tires that I said I would. 2. Treated fuel?

I always buy no ethanol and add Lucas to it anyway. 3. Replaced air filter AND prefilter. I keep an eye on the AF and KNOW it didn't need replacing. 4. Changed spark plug. There was a notation that the "engine sputters". REALLY! Do I look that stupid? 5. Leveled deck. The mower cut perfectly level and did not need this "service". DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!

L&M mowers is a very disreputable business. Furthermore, Mike is void of integrity. He will tell you that he performed work on your machine and charge you much more than his work is worth, only to discover he never performed the work afterall. He says his shop rate is the lowest in the area, but that is a lie. Check it out for yourself. If you want someone you can trust, go to Affordable Small Engine Repair in Fayetteville.

The front crankshaft seal was leaking excessively and needed to be replaced on our Exmark Lazr zero turn which looks almost like new. I left it at L&M Mowers, an Exmark dealer. They said Exmark machines get moved ahead of other brands they do not sell (this sounds nice but is wrong). This should have been a very minor repair. The owner called and said the entire engine needed to be resealed at a cost of $1400.

I told him no, and that I would come pick our machine up the next day. The owner, Michael Undernehr, continued to coerce me into letting him work it. He kept talking and would not stop. I tried to talk several times, but he refused to allow me to speak. He told me five times that he had been in sales for 20 years. He said I could trust what he was saying, because he had been in business for many years.

I finally told him to stop talking three times in succession and told him I was going to pick the machine up. Michael then suggested that I let him remove the head on one cylinder to examine the cylinder bore. This was a simple procedure and I said okay. He called back and said the cylinder bore was fine. I told him to put the head and current gasket back on, that I would come pick it up.

He refused to let me pick it up until he put a new head gasket on. He charged me $676 + a $40 deposit. I had no choice but to pay this exorbitant bill to get our machine back. I still couldn't use our mower because the crankshaft seal had yet to be replaced. I took our machine elsewhere and had two other Exmark technicians look at it. One said the head gasket had not been replaced.

The other technician said the head had not been removed, but was pushed up slightly to slide the old gasket out and slide another one in. He said this was a "Band-Aid" fix. Both asked me how much I had been charged and both just shook their heads when I told them. One of the other Exmark dealers removed the engine and replaced the crankshaft seal at a cost of $312, and said that was all it needed.

They said the engine did not need to be resealed. That is all I wanted done in the first place! Michael Undernehr is like the news media. He tells you that he is very honest because that is what he wants you to think. His actions show the opposite. I learned decades ago that if someone is telling you that they are honest, don't believe them for a second.

Watch them and you will observe that in fact, they are not honest. Michael Undernehr is utterly corrupt. He will turn on you like a snake if you tell him you are going to take your mower to another dealer or shop. He was right about his extensive "sales experience", as he is a very experienced con man. It is very apparent that he had every intention of stealing as much money from me as he could.

This can happen to anyone else just as easily as it happened to me. If you read this review and take your mower to L&M, shame on YOU! I am confident we can expect a reply to this review from Michael Undernehr and that he will attempt to rationalize his actions, state how honest he is and how bad I am. It will be interesting to see if he further condemns himself with a reply.

Been doing business with Mike several years, quality work. If you are in a hurry during the busy season, I'd say go somewhere else, He is not going to do a half a$$ job on your machine. You want good service and free advice to keep your engines running, he's your guy.

I can't say enough about what a great place this is. I have an older riding mower and the carburetor started dumping fuel into the cylinder continuously which ended up in the crank case. I tried two other places for parts one in Springdale and the other in Lowell, they were less than helpful. Michael had a practically new carburetor that had come off an engine the owner had forgotten to add oil to after changing the oil and sold it to me at a very reasonable rate. Very professional and helpful service!

They've been fine during the 4 years I've used them for servicing my mower, weedeater and pressure washing equipment. However, I wouldn't recommend purchasing anything they sell. I returned a weedeater they sold me (3:00 Thurs) and was absolutely horrified by the treatment I was shown upon returning the next morning to return it (11:00 Fri). The product simply didn't meet the expectations given by the salesman for a $250+ product. Apparently, he failed to mention that all sales are final.

So after their belittling and insulting comments, in front of my face no less, I was finally able to get a refund. All in all, they pretty much ruined any rapport we'd built over 4 years and I'll be taking my business elsewhere going forward. This is not what I expected and definitely not what I wanted. It's really not THAT hard to be decent. maybe I caught them on a bad day, who knows? Clearly my fault, as they'd have you believe. I'm sure they'll wish me well and say something Christian.

I've been going to L&M for over two years now. They are experts in their field of work, they are an honest and hard working family business. They are very busy and running a lean shop so things may take a little longer to be turned around but you can be assured it is done right. This is the best small engine / mower / power tool repair shop in Northwest Arkansas.
