We believe that every landscape, commercial or residential, is unique; therefore our job is to install a design created to emphasize architectural or natural features through careful selection and placement of plant materials. Services
Design and bid work for installations includes garden restoration and renovations for commercial as well as residential properties. Turn key installation can include grading, drainage, irrigation, fencing, and lighting as well as any required plantings. Driveway and walkways can also be designed. The Southern garden can provide beautiful color in every season.
The design process begins with a telephone interview. The size, type of project, and the time frame is discussed. The owner talks about the project and what is to be accomplished through the design. The designer finds out the size of the property and if the owner has a site plan or a plat prepared (some smaller residential properties can be designed without a plat but most often one is needed). The number and type of existing trees or other existing features are discussed. Neighborhood or city requirements are discussed.
Creative Landscapes, Inc. was established in 1976 under the name of Inlet Landscaping. Sharon Turner joined the company in 1978 immediately upon graduation from Clemson. Sharon bought out the other partners in 1980. She renamed and relocated it in 1984 to its current location, 11520 Highway 17 Bypass, Murrells Inlet, SC.
We are not growers. We buy our plant material from wholesale growers all over the Southeast. Plants are ordered on a per job basis so the plants are in top condition from the grower when the come to us. The most important part of the design process is the interview. It is the job of the landscape designer to develop an understanding of the client and the relationship of the client to the property.

Could not be happier with the results! Sharon and her team were very professional, courteous and honest. It was easy to work with Sharon. She listens to client and is very knowledgeable. We discussed what I need for our property and she designed an amazing landscaping plan with patios and selected local plans that provide privacy and colours throughout the seasons.
She also filed the plan to the HOA and received all approvals. The project was realized perfectly and on time as promised. Our yard is the talk of the neighborhood! I strongly recommend Creative Landscapes if you are looking for a high quality product and detail oriented workmanship.

I highly recommend Creative Landscapes. I know very little about plants so I cut out pictures of what I wanted to see in my landscape design. Sharon used them as a guide and incorporated those that would thrive. I had such confidence in her expertise that I felt completely at ease in letting her use her creative abilities and run with project using what she thought best.
She drew up the design; took her time going over everything and gave me a start and finish time. I can tell you she is true to her word and her work is beautiful. Sharon is very dependable which is very important to me. She and her team showed up as scheduled and finished on schedule. I could not be happier! She had nothing to work with initially and turned ugly into absolutely beautiful! People in the neighborhood constantly stop to tell me how much they like the landscape and ask who did it. Sharon came out, we walked the property and discussed my likes and dislikes. She took lots of pictures, drew a design and presented it. We made some adjustments and set a date. The team was very professional, courteous and explained everything they were doing and why. Final project is even better than I envisioned. Sharon returned, we walked the yard again to discuss maintenance. All of my neighbors have complimented the work. Will definitely use this company again!
