At the end of August 2021 I engaged the services of Hutcheson Horticultural to lay 4000sq ft of zoysia sod after landscaping the earth to improve drainage. They arrived and laid it but I noticed some sections seemed a little bare of grass but was told to water vigorously to bring it back. After two weeks there was no improvement and it seemed to me the situation couldn't be retrieved so I asked that they lift the relevant sections and replace.
Two guys dually arrived but the grass they brought was in terrible shape and looked like it had been sat at the bottom of a pallet for days in the searing heat, a very sorry sight but again they insisted watering would bring it back. As the irrigation had also been newly installed I was more than happy to run it and knew that new sod required judicious watering however I also knew deep down that nothing short of a miracle was going to revive the very thin sod they had laid.
As expected the situation did not improve so I emailed them towards the end of the year asking that in the new 2022 season they review their work and remedy the situation at their earliest convenience. So here I am in May with no reply to my email( I guess they have washed their hands of me) and a lawn way less than a year old which in places looks terrible. Shocking customer service from Hutcheson Horticultural and a two star rating in the circumstances is generous.

Brooks Hutcheson and his team have been wonderful to work with. They have helped us several times with both landscaping and hardscaping -- installing a beautiful patio, stone edging, stone pavers under our gate, trees and bushes. Brooks will meet with you, provide a written estimate, and an installation timeline, all on schedule and on budget. If there are any issues -- a plant doesn't survive or a stone comes loose, for example -- he is quick to fix the problem to your satisfaction. We recommend him highly.

You should see our new sod that they placed down and said its normal. Actually let me show you. Does this look normal to you? The guy who came out is probably the most unfriendly man I've met in quite a while too. For managing multiple million dollar high-rises in the Atlanta area, I would absolutely stand clear of these guys. My husband and I have spent hours thus far pulling these weeds, in which we've been told is normal.

We had two dogwood trees planted and the price was very fair. The quality of the trees was also top notch! Not knowing much about how to care for newly planted trees, I appreciated the time Brooks spent to give me instructions for watering. They had a great first year and are looking awesome going into year two! I am looking forward to working on more projects with Brooks.

We've had Brooks and his crew out for numerous projects, and will have him back again next time I need something done for sure. We've had him out for small projects like pine straw/mulching, planting a couple trees, etc., as well as much larger projects such as installing bermuda sod (we now have the best lawn in the neighborhood), stone retaining walls for raised gardens, and the cleanup of an overgrown "pit" on the side of our house.
They have handled all of these services, big and small, as though they are the most important thing on their schedule and focused on each one equally. I'm extremely happy with all of the work we've had done and highly recommend contacting him for whatever landscaping project you have in mind.

I really wish I could leave a no star review. We acquired this company as the landscapers when I moved in to my new construction home 2 years ago. I would not recommend this company to anyone and the reason why is revealed in the photos around my community after each week this company leave the landscape job. We have asked our HOA managing company (Fieldstone) to get this immediately rectified since we have a contract with this company but not for long. Their work has consistently gotten worst with each visit. Would you pay for this type of lawncare service?

We are so happy to work with Hutcheson Horticultural! They have been doing our flower bed on our Downtown Canton Yoga Studio location for a year now! Right on North Street! In the Fall we had the most vibrant pansies we've ever seen and this Spring- the largest begonias EVER! We just love to hear our students, or folks passing by, talk about how beautiful our flowers are! Thanks Hutcheson Horticultural for bringing some beauty to our storefront!
