Great supplier of animal and pet food and meds. All kinds of plants and flowers. Southern States is my main supplier for my pet needs and also my main store for plants and flowers. I love this store. They have the best flea treatment for my dogs and cats. Also they sell horse supplies.

I have a little (baby) Norfolk pine that my god sister in England sent my mum a few years ago. Since my mum passed away last year, this little pine is extremely important to me! It hasn't been doing very well so I called Southern States & talked to Edie for advice. She was awesome! I decided to take my pine in. Edie helped me pick out the correct products I needed & she helped me replant it.

I've named my little pine, Edie, after the woman who cares as much as I do! Thank you Edie! And thank you Southern States for employing people like Edie! She's an amazing person & a real asset to us all! Cheers!

I come here because it's closer to home but their customer service is bad. If you have the time please go further, to tractor supply, it's worth the drive. This store is pretty small and as I said, customer service suxk

Nice product selection but it's unfortunate how quickly a customer can be turned off due to unfriendly staff. There are plenty of other places to shop in town and when you walk in the door you should always feel welcome. Not my experience with Southern States. Just sad.

Great place. The employees are very friendly and helpful. And for the guy's review about wearing a mask, the store employees have rights too. They can kick you out for not wearing a mask because they are concerned for their health as well! Great store, keep up the good work!

They changed suppliers for water foul and the new product is horrible. The staff looks like the "Motley Crew" and have no clue what a uniform is. This company is going downhill fast and I simply don't know who is running the company. Horrible service and store is dirty. It may be farmer owned but listen up farmers you have no clue how to run a retail operation

I have never been to a Southern States before and thus really don't have much to compare it to. Plus, there aren't many stores in general that one could compare to Southern States so again it makes reviewing it more difficult because there is not much relativity. In one one way Souther States is kind of like a pet store in that they sell pet supplies, but in this way I would say they definitely fall short when compared to something like a Petsmart or a Hollywood Feed.

They also serve as like a livestock supply store and I can't speak to how good or not there are in this regard. I can say the place doesn't seem super clean and organized but because it's a feed store I'm kind of fine with it. What I can say is that it has a unique selection of vegetable plants to choose from and this is why I like the store.

It has tomato and pepper cultivars you are not likely to find anywhere's else AND they are all pretty healthy and happy. Come here to find some nee and unique additions to your garden! WARNING: one of the daisies I brought home was badly infested with green aphids and it was too late before I noticed. This led to a battle between me and some green aphids that quickly spread to several of my other plants.

Whenever we have a serious problem with our lawn or garden or garden pests, we head to Southern States. In addition to sound advice, they offer live chickens and ducks for sale at certain times of the year, Stihl tools, seeds, soil testing, plants and trees, hay and straw, bird supplies and garden accents. The store is super clean and they offer lots of variety. Parking is easy. It can get busy on the weekends.

As a mom, I love shopping at this place! So much to share with my kids. They have a nice size bathroom (no changing table though). And the staff is pleasant and helpful. The lady in the outdoor plant section has been working there for years. She's very knowledgeable!

Southern States is a good source for home and garden supplies. Everyone here is helpful and knowledgeable. Southern States is dog friendly.

What I like about this particular location is they don't try to sell me something I don't need. I've been here for pest and weed control products and they always seem to steer me in the right direction for the specific wood destroying insect or poison ivy I'm looking to put out of its misery. Since they changed locations, the appearance of the store and the product presentation has improved dramatically. Prices may be slightly higher than assimilating to the "Borg" stores (HD comes to mind) for lawn and garden products, but the drive is less than a mile as opposed to 20+ miles otherwise. Savings in my time and gas are more valuable than the slight savings on the purchases of things like red cedar mulch, permethrin, garden sprayers, ortho brush b gone products and the like at the borg.
