Boss bought a brand new weed wacker. Pull cord broke after two weeks. 3 days to repair. Selling products high and saying they can't fix a simple pull cord because they're busy. Good way to treat a regular customer

I've been a satisfied patron at Billings for decades, ever since they were located on Main Street north of Lincoln in Royal Oak. Most recently, I purchased a Toro lawn mower last summer and a Toro snow blower last month at Billings, after they relocated in the Clawson shopping center at 14 Mile Rd. east of Crooks Rd. They have a large selection of yard equipment and their prices are comparable with similar businesses.

I have not yet needed service on the aforementioned power equipment, but I've been very satisfied with giving Billings my business throughout the years. James Powell, Royal Oak

Needed a new snow blower. Called and told them I needed something 'a girl can use' (our old one was too big and bulky and I hated using it). They had one in my price range and were very helpful when I asked questions. They delivered it a few hours later (filled with gas and ready to go) and went over how to use it in my driveway. Beats Lowe's any day of the week. A+

Called in to get pricing and availability of parts one of which they needed to order (piston rings). The employee wasn't sure if they came as a set or individually from Stihl but he said he'd just order two and if they came as sets then he would just sell me the one set and they'd keep the other and quoted $5.48 for TWO rings. I also was pretty sure they were sold as a set (which I mentioned) because if you look online you can see pictures of the actual part which comes in a semi-transparent box of 2 with a label that has the part # and says "2 pieces" and it kinda only makes sense since the piston takes two rings.

You're not gonna replace just one when you do a repair this involved. When I went to pick them up I noticed they charged me for qty of 2 of the part # (5.48 x 2 = $10.96) on the receipt which technically would've been TWO SETS of rings (2x2=4). I mentioned this to the parts employee who was adamant their price was PER ring even tho I mentioned I was quoted $5.48 over the phone originally. So after waiting about a week for them to come in and them trying to gouge me I decided they can keep the parts, refund my money and took my business to their competitor.

Delivery was on time. Review of snowblower features was very informative and helpful. Took my existing Toro Snowblower as a trade-in. Unfortunately still have not received word on credit for the trade. It's been over 3 weeks.

Emily, was very helpful to check on a mower I was looking to purchase, registered the mower for me after purchasing. Paul gave me such great insight not simply with the mower I was buying but was most familiar with the mower I was replacing. My Billy Goat mower had just worn me down the last 15 years, and now I have a Toro Time Master. Paul helped me load the mower into my truck! Exceptional experience!
