Designscapes, Inc. is a Landscape Architecture firm. Much like an architectural firm, we do design and project management, not installation. Typically, this would be an initial consultation to determine the scope of the project, discuss ideas, and review the budget. Then the design process begins. We collaborate with our clients to develop the concepts. The design concepts form the basis for the final design, construction details, and bid documents. After the bids are received, a contractor is selected.

Since 1996, Designscapes, Inc. has offered residential and commercial clients our services of site evaluation, landscape design, bid solicitation, and project management of landscape installations. Our clients have the option of choosing any or all of these services at an hourly rate. Our registered landscape architect, Patrick Sellenraad, has over 35 years of experience ranging from intimate backyard patio design to large commercial developments.Our goal is to go beyond just site enhancement. We will find ideas and solutions to your site problems which look good and fit your budget.
This renovation incorporates light and sound, fire and water, a food prep / grill area, a dining patio, spaces for talking and dancing, cooling breezes, and warmth from above. Our firm provided design and project management services over 4 years and 3 phases of work. The construction was accomplished by 11 different firms plus their subcontractors.
Designscapes, Inc. has served clients in the following Michigan counties: Saginaw, Bay, Midland, Genesee, Oakland, Huron, Lapeer, Shiawassee, and Tuscola. We have also helped our clients with their vacation properties / homes around Bay Harbor, Petoskey, Traverse City, and Harbor Springs (Emmet, Charlevoix, and Grand Traverse Counties).
The first meeting is to walk through your project, discuss options and opportunities, and determine the size of the project. Once the scope of work is determined, we will develop several preliminary concepts for you to review. Estimated project costs can be reviewed at the conceptual phase and again as the construction drawings are being completed.
