I cant select zero stars, so they get a 1 star. This has to be the worst landscape/snow removal company I have dealt with. They just plowed the snow (finally) from our parking lot to the end of the apron, right to the edge of the street. The plow guy blocked the driveway with a mound of snow. (That was after he plowed in my neighbor while he was trying to pull out of his garage, and the driver smirked- and THAT was after he yelled at another neighbor who was asking when he should move his car so the guy had an easier go at the parking lot) I was able to drive around the right of his pile, which was a chore, since he didn't clean that side well either.
Over the years they have consistently missed walkways, sidewalks and porches. Last time they were here (a few weeks ago) they poured so much salt on the sidewalk at places it was 1/2 thick. You can imagine what the edge of our lawn looks like. I will give you a recap in the summer, it is just as inconsistent in quality and damaging to our property.

I recently moved back after 48 years away and bought a home that came with Tocco-Mannino as the landscaper. I asked around and people explained they were very good but not the least expensive. Least expensive is rarely the best value. Tocco-Mannino provides value. Anthony Tocco, Mike, Jorge, and all their other associates take pride in what they do and are committed to establishing and developing relationships with their clients. Value is the key metric. Tocco-Mannino delivers value.

I have given this company tens of thousands of dollars of work over the past several years. Their prices are fair and they do relatively relatively good work. Having said that, if you want to hire someone who promises to be there then doesn't show up time after time (if they show up at all), this is your company. If you want to feel like you are the biggest complainer in the world because you have to be on the phone time after time getting overcharges on your bill corrected, this is your company.
They sent a quote out before the season and I signed up for fall cleanup this year. They pruned the Hydrangeas back which typically causes them to under perform the following season, left all the trimmings in the street so the city could pick them up & that's okay but then they billed me $100 for hauling it away then billed me over $400 above the contracted amount for the fall cleanup after I called them to remind them they left it off of there November statement. Seems like the managers should fire themselves for not knowing how to organize and run a company. Barry

Here is the first review that Yelp deleted because it contained Lisa's last name. I'm re posting so the subsequent responses make sense- This company is basically dishonest. They were hired to perform gardening work for my deceased father's house until it was sold this year. Gardening to them apparently does not include trimming bushes or pulling weeds, which is absurd on its face.
When I visited MI in early June this year I noted that the bushes and weeds were out of control, after they had been doing the "gardening" for over three weeks. When I called the company that day, complaining about the lack of complete gardening I was told that Mr. Tocco would call me later that day. Neither he or anyone else called. When I returned the next morning at 10am there were two workers who had already trimmed the back bushes and were doing weeding.
They left around noon for lunch, returned a while later, and finally left around 1pm. I thought it was great that they responded to quickly, until I received a bill for $975 for their work. Allegedly these two workers put in a total of 18 hours at $50/hour to trim bushes and pull weeds at the house. The only way they could have put in that much time is if they started working at 3am, which they obviously didn't do.
I have asked Lisa, who I believe I originally spoke with and who seems to be their customer service person, to rework the invoice and she has refused, saying the bill was correct and that I demanded that they do the work without any type of estimate or further contact from Tocco. This bald faced lying does not bode well for reaching any resolution with this very unprofessional company. Stay away.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness I live in a condo. We pay them for their services. They missed several sidewalks, porches and walkways. This is consistent with this group, lawn service and snow removal. No one from their crews seem to review their work. God help us if we need to call EMS out here.

We had several different things done to our yard through this company. All of which have come back to haunt us. They were done incorrectly and have caused so much grief, when we contacted them they didn't respond. It took weeks then months to even get answers then nothing fixed. I wouldn't recommend them, so others don't have to go through the same headache.

Disappointed in the deficit of professionalism. I just witnessed a team member from Tocco Mannino yelling at an elderly woman. Really? Yelling at an elderly woman who was concerned about how they were depositing snow in her driveway, after all of the snow that we had? How is that even remotely OK? She is one of our neighbors and is well-loved by the neighborhood.
I was walking by and couldn't believe it. We have had so much snow lately. I don't see how it is professionally acceptable to yell at an elderly woman who was worried about the snow that this team had just deposited in her path of travel after working on another neighbor's driveway, obstructing her ability to exit her driveway. In talking with others, the man's voice was so loud that people inside their homes also heard it and wondered what happened.
There has been a lot of snow and yes, we are all tired of moving it around. You guys are supposed to be professionals. Yelling at an elderly woman when she's telling you she is concerned about their dumping it in her driveway.wow.

Tocco Mannino Landscaping renovated my entire backyard at my Grosse Pointe home. Very professional and cordial guys. Phil Mannino explained everything and had suggestions to make my yard look great! Everything turned out great and they do a good job cleaning up after their done. Very reasonable rates and excellent work.
