J.R. (the owner) is a gentleman who is gracious enough to provide guidance on lawn care even before hiring. He was able to come to my home in a timely fashion to begin restoring my lawn in time for fall and he provided a clear, itemized list with reasonable pricing via email. His crew worked hard, left no mess and I can see my lawn coming back one week after they finished. He is responsive to texts and email. Will use him again.

Can't say enough good things about Ace, JR and his crew. ACE and their owner, JR, are amazing. Besides being a wonderful guy, who is easy to communicate with, responsive to inquiries and kind, JR and his guys do GREAT WORK! Yes they are a few dollars more than some of the bargain basement gardeners around the area but they increase in quality of work more than makes up for it.
I sign a contract with ACE for spring/fall cleanup, regular maintenance, fertilizer, planting, etc. The other guys I used had a super low monthly price but then charged you more for EVERY added thing (fertilizer, seed, etc.). ACE has the contract with NO EXTRA CHARGES. I have also used ACE for planting bushes/trees, filling in a backyard sinkhole and installing a railing (ACE has a masonry division). I am happy with all of their services and could not recommend them more.

Just makes up prices and then bully's you into paying. After filing a suit on small claims, my mother and I decided to just pay to avoid the hassle. I messaged him that I had the money, meanwhile, I had not been able to get in touch with him. Within 7 minutes, he texted me that he was outside my house. It's a miracle how quickly he made himself available when it involved him getting paid. Absolutely DISGUSTING!

Find another service. Ace is NOT aces. Just cancelled their service after 2nd year in a row where they fail to show up for Fall cleaning service. Last year after my wife and i rake and bag up 19 bags of leaves on our own since Ace hadn't been around for weeks. Call them to let them know we did this, then they show up during the work week to clean up what little bit we missed, they break one of my path lights and send me a bill for a full clean up service.
Here we are again this year and I've been out there the past 3 weekends raking and bagging again on my own. There are plenty of other reputable services out there to choose from. I suggest you find one other than ACE.

Stay away from Ace! They are very sleazy. This company claimed they did what they call a "Fall Cleanup" and charged me $250 for it. I told the guy I never requested any Fall Cleanup! My husband and sons had already cleaned the small amount of leaves in the yard. Then he says there's a $100 charge for NOT REQUESTING a Fall Cleanup! Is this guy for real?
He thinks he can make up these phony charges and people should just pay them without agreeing to it in advance?! He has no signature from me asking for this ridiculous Fall Cleanup that I didn't need, didn't want, didn't request and then charge me $100 for NOT REQUESTING it! What? Stay away from this guy. He's unscrupulous. The other issue I had with him, I hired him to snow shovel the driveway, paths and stoops.
He took so long to arrive that by the time he arrived, we had all the paths and stoops done. He did the driveway but he didn't even do the complete driveway as he only shoveled two of the bays (there are four). So I told him I'd pay him half as he only did half the job. He agreed. I wrote "Payment in Full" on the check I gave him. Now he's balking that he wants to get the full payment!
I don't know if this guy is just plain stupid or just plain greedy. Probably both, stupid and greedy. Now he's filed a small claim against me. I saw on another consumer review site that he did this same thing to other people, over-bills and then takes them to Small Claims court if they refuse to pay his phony charges. People probably just pay him off to get rid of him. Well, let's see what Small Claims has to say to him after I show all of my evidence!
