Q: I obtained multiple sprinkler bids. I prefer HUNTER SERVICES, but other companies bid less zones or lower prices, what can be done?. A: Call us. Sometimes smaller companies severely under bid in order to simply keep their doors open. We cannot compete with two men and a shovel on price, but we can beat their quality.
Many of the comments noted here are so true about these two gentlemen. They provide excellent customer service. Several times after our installment was completed we had questions they responded immediately. As for the installation I must say it was done in two days total, Matt's team is amazingly competant I could not get over how fast they dug up the yard for the install then had the whole system installed in 2 days.

May 2022. One of the sprinkler heads had popped out and Hunter sent Steve to replace it. Not only did he do that, but he checked my entire system and discovered that my 20-year-old system wasn't working properly. He was able to install a new control box and re-set watering days/times. He adjusted several heads as well. Steve showed up on time, was very professional and thorough. I highly recommend this company; Steve is a Navy vet which made it even better.

I've used Hunter Sprinkler Services in the past for installation as well as repair, but I believe I will have to look elsewhere next time. I was pretty sure that the transformer on my controller unit was blown, so I was a bit surprised when the suggestion was made to replace the entire controller. I insisted that the guy hook up a voltmeter to check it, but he kept saying he couldn't do that, it would ruin the warranty (!?) and that the whole thing needed to be replaced.
The cost to replace was $600, but I already looked up the cost of the controller, and it was $210. There's not that much labor involved. Again, I questioned the price, and he insisted that he had to install a different controller because my model wasn't available. The model he wanted to install controlled 12 zones, and I only have a need for 6. Again, I asked why the overkill, and he kept insisting that is what I needed.
I truly do not appreciate being taken advantage of. The previous repair guy was so upfront and honest about my options that I was surprised by this guy. I will not use this company again for any repair services, and I caution those who do to ask multiple questions and look out for someone trying to take advantage of you.

I've used Hunter for years and have always had great service. They are on time, reliable, and priced fair. I recently added an above ground pool and Bob came out on short notice to help with my sprinkler system before we completed the installation. Super friendly and professional. He also put me in touch with another person to help with my pool issue. I highly recommend Hunter Sprinkler Services - and I do NOT write reviews ever.

There are two options, one for installation and other person for repairs, I needed a repair of an irrigation system. He arrived on time, he started to inspect and then told me what was wrong, after an hour he was upset because he didn't know how to set all the stations to work, I tried to explain and he got more angry and asked me if I was an engineer, like implying if I had the background to even give my opinion.
After 2 hours he said it was ready, so I told him I was going to a round to check the system, and he started to swear and got very upset. I found some sprinklers that were not set up correctly and he became angrier. Today I went out to see a dripping system that he fixed and I can see a section that is not been irrigated, not sure if he blocked a leak instead of repairing it and keeping the flow. This is my experience, I wouldn't recommend their repair service, perhaps the installation person is more respectful.

They did a good job with the irrigation. Sod was a little iffy at first. We were kind of surprised that they threw the sod down with out raking out the rocks, or putting loom down first, but it seemed to take pretty well. Do not leave any tools that resemble the tools that they use for irrigation out. We had a shovel and pick axe that were taken. We just had a new pool installed, and I was doing some work.
Left the tools leaning on my shed. Kinda of my bad. Followed up three times with the main point of contact to try and have my tools returned. He did come back, but with the wrong tools. Told they were not the right ones. He left never to be heard from again. I would use them again, but definitely not leave any of my tools out.

Bob came out to do a repair for us and he was a pleasure to work with! He quickly identified the problem, solution and repair. In addition, he actually helped us with more than what we even called about which was amazing. I will be using them again anytime we are in need! Alan and Matt (owners) both came to our home to give a free estimate two days after I contacted them. They were punctual, polite, and professional. The sprinkler installation was done in one day by an amazing crew. The crew was efficient and totally driven. They worked non stop for nine hours. Matt walked my husband and I through the operation of the system and made sure we understood how it functioned and answered all our questions. The price was extremely fair and we also received a veterans discount. We highly recommend this company. Great folks to work with.

Hunter Sprinklers installed the sprinklers at my business complex a couple years ago. Their workers were clean, quiet and respectful. The owners, Matt and Alan, are easy to work with and always got back to me really quickly even outside of regular business hours. Bob does all my repairs/tweaks and checks my system each year. He has also been great to work with! Highly recommend for any job, big or small!
