C & T Lawn & Landscape

Saw these guys doing work at a neighbour's place and they did a tremendous job so I decided to give them a try. Their prices are quite fair for the work done. They made sure the branches were cut exactly where we wanted them to be. Highly recommended

Just purchased a new home and seen workers at my neighbors house so I decided to call for an estimate. When I called the receptionist took my info and said she would get a quote and give me a call back. After 4hrs of no response, I decided to give the company a call back and remind her I had called earlier for a quote only for her to say "Our services are full Goodbye". Very rude and very unprofessional.

My front lawn was a huge mess and needed a major clean-up and decided to give this service a try. They showed up on time, were quick, clean and had all the right equipment. Professional service.

Just bought a new place and was in the market to find someone to help maintain our backyard. Tim was responsive, knowledgeable and went above & beyond. I cannot recommend them enough and will be using them in the future.

My friend recommended this company to me for lawn mowing and omg these guys are so easy to work with. Anyways highly recommend this company; they are super responsive, fast, and reliable!

Henry and the C & T crew just did amazing work on my backyard and really did a really phenomenal job. They cleaned up my backyard and now it looks brand new! I do recommend their services and will be using them again in the future! Thank you!

I could not recommend someone more highly-- Judy at C&T is incredibly talented, sources the best materials for the job. They did an amazing job and I'm glad I did so.

We were so lucky to find C&T to remove the mulch created by the stump removal of four large trees in our back yard and then to plant new trees. Judy, their arborist, was so helpful with landscape suggestions and knowledge of various trees. Their work crew was respectful of our neighbors property and were very hard workers as well as being nice guys. My wife and I were so happy with our new trees and new lawn we would highly recommend C&T Lawn and Landscape to anyone.

AVOID THIS COMPANY! Go read all the TERRIBLE reviews and then RUN to another lawn care service. I regretted my decision to use this company the very first time they cut my lawn. I let them come back two more times and their service went from BAD TO WORSE! Look at the attached pictures of how they left my lawn! They also have the nerve to OVERCHARGE for their terrible service! I cancelled my contract with them immediately after all they gave me where excuses for the awful job they did 3 different times and STILL charged me for it!

All I can say is I wish I had read the reviews first on Yelp about C&T Lawn Care & Landscaping because I would have never hired them for lawn services! Their services aren't very good & the Boss or Owner, Tim doesn't really care about his customers complaints. They totally ruined our lawn! The product they used on our lawn is below par! I think it even created more weeds in our lawn.

I complained to the company but it didn't help. Tim responded like, "Oh well sorry you feel that way." I asked for a boss to come to our house & look at our lawn to see how horrible it looks & I was told to talk to the lead Lawn cuter.? What? This company must not need business so do yourself a favor & don't use them for any services!

I would like to give ZERO stars but that's not allowed. 1st off, C&T pushed back my installation several times due to weather- I was understanding and told them that I preferred quality and that I would wait. I was then notified that I was the next job on their list BUT they showed up without setting up an appointment- I just happened to drive up while they were packing.

They installed dead so - brown hay, dead bushes, hostas that only had 2 and 3 leaves, the most infant sized boxwood I have ever seen. It looked nothing like the rendering. I sent the guys packing with the few plants (horrible selection) that they intended on planing in the flower box. I showed them the planter boxes that I planted myself that were gorgeous and full- why would I pay for something that looks worse than what I could do myself?

I told them that if I had been home I would have turned them away and refused everything. I called the sales rep ASAP on the spot and he came out a couple of days later. He told me that all the grass in Chicago looked like this due to the amount of rain we were getting- yeah right! He also tried to convince me that the grass was alive but needed a lot of TLC and I should see it come back in 3 weeks or so- who agrees to pay for dead sod that they have to cater to (beyond the watering schedule) just to see a little green.

He then told me that the plant would look better in 3 year! What! And that they were in that condition when they left the nursery. I told him to take the plants and replace them with other items and to find new sod. As a matter of fact I went to 3 sod places and found green sod at all 3- the cheapest was home depot North Avenue. He agreed to replace sod and plants / bushes but wanted me to pay the balance.

I told them no way- not until you give me some quality product. I never heard from him- I called and asked to speak to the owner but he was always out of town or busy. I emailed, texted, left voicemails multiple times. I ended up having to pay someone to remove and lay new sod and to re-landscape the front of my home. do NOT use them EVER.

I was a customer for over 4 years, until I was told that the snow removal service would be discontinued since I wouldn't let them remove less than a quarter of an inch of snow! There had been no new snowfall. What was on the surface was from blowing & drifting snow. I guess I wasn't supposed to be awake at 5:00AM and would accept their decision.

I was told by one of the crew that they were instructed to do everyone's property; I told them not to do mine! When I called the office the next day, I was told that my service would be discontinued for the remainder of the winter season since I told the crew to stop. There was no snow to be removed and it was well below the 2 I contracted for removal. Nobody can dictate what happens on my property!

I am beyond disappointed with this company. We had them come out a few weeks ago and do the first grass cutting/weed whacking of the year and I thought a reputable company would know what they're doing- boy was I wrong! The weed whacker clearly tore up the siding in several places (see pics) and then the company told my mom that they looked into the issue and there's no way there equipment did this.

Even though you can clearly see the grass residue and the height of the damage is EXACTLY where the grass grows against the house. No apologies, just denying they did this! They did it in so many spots it's just purely negligent and irresponsible. If I could give zero stars I would, as we've given this company more than enough time to rectify this issue.

Non existent service and terrible customer service. In laws have had these guys for 8 years for lawn service and snow removal. C & T made the mistake of clearing their neighbors house twice this past snow. My Husband had to come clear their driveway a few times due to them making this mistake. C & T then sent my inlaws a bill for clearing the deceased neighbors driveway.

When my inlaws called to clear this up, C & T said pay or we will cancel your service. So bye C & T. 8 years loyal customers lost for a $100 bill not being payed due to your mistake!

Terrible company - ripped us off so many times. Morris Avenue Condominium Association was overcharged for a day they did not come out in December even though they claim they did. During one winter they salted our lawn several times by mistake. This caused to grass on the edges to completely die. When the owner was confronted he said he would have to take a soil test to determine if it really was salt causing the damage to the lawn.

Three other landscapers had come out and said it was definitely salt damage and they could tell just by looking at same. C&T finally did fix the issue, however, in their recent contract they put they are not liable for salt damage. When they change a contract they do not notify the Board or management company of the changes so they can overcharge if the contract is not read.

When confronted as to why we were not notified of changes the reply was their "insurance rates went up and someone has to pay them." Management company has advised that they lost over 1/2 of their condominium business due to the sneaky tactics and overcharging they use. Lastly, one of the unit owners planted plants on the grounds of our condominiums. C&T Landscaping came out for the fall clean-up and destroyed (pulled up) the plants. When confronted, C&T Landscaping replied they thought they were weeds. They refused to replace same.

Two stars for showing up consistently and decent price. Lack of three more for poor crew judgment and crew management. Ran mowers through my yard during period of heavy rain with standing water. If I didn't stop the crew my lawn would have been considerably damaged more than they already did. Called the office and the manager told me that they're aware how bad it is right now. Really? You're aware?

So you send them to my house anyway? My grass has been next to dying for three weeks and is half brown so they come and get paid to joy ride in my yard. I mean that has to be what they're doing because my grass hasn't grown a half inch in weeks. Remembered to stop them one week. Forgot this week and there they are, joy riding. Canceling services in a minute here. Hope they read this and take note.
