We have mixed reviews of Horticulture Unlimited's services. They provided and executed a beautiful landscape design, including an outdoor kitchen space and fountain.we were extremely pleased. However, we found their monthly maintenance services to be very slow in responding to messages and requests, often not following up on items requiring special pruning or replanting of dead foliage.
We recently moved to a new home and requested that they give us a quote for initial cleanup, replanting and monthly maintenance. Once the quote was given, they were uncommunicative about a timeline for the intiation of the work. After waiting several weeks for a response, we decided to go with another company.

I wasn't even able to hire Horticulture because no one sent me an estimate after two weeks of having someone come out. Andrew was supposed to send me an estimate about a week and a half ago. After calling twice and leaving a message twice, no ones gotten back to me. I live in an HOA and am on a time crunch to get my yard cleared of weeds. I don't have time to do it myself during the week typically which makes it even harder. Just ended up getting an estimate from another company who has been super punctual and great about communicating with me.

Horticulture Unlimited is a great company. Everyone from the office staff to the crew members are so nice to work with. Our concerns are always addressed and everything is taken care of with attention to detail.they are always professional, always willing to make adjustments. Hired them in September 2020 for weed control. They did a good job until they stopped showing up in July but kept billing me. Edited to add: Of course it's my fault. I told them what I wanted and accepted everything exactly as they prescribed. It's the customer's fault that Horticulture Unlimited doesn't know what it takes to get the job done.

We used Horticulture Unlimited for our front and back landscaping. They started from scratch in the back and put in an irrigation system plus plants and a fountain. The following year we had them replace the non-native plants out front with native one and update the irrigation. Fast forward a few years and a neighbor told us our irrigation out front had sprung a leak.
I called H.U. and they sent Dan out to repair the leak. He was prompt and we were pleasantly surprised at the rate quoted for the work. It's nice to know as seasonal visitors, we can count on the crew at Horticulture Unlimited! Highly recommend them.

We had a good experience with Horticulture Unlimited. They were responsive to our inquiry and we settled on a scope of work quickly. There were some concerns about matching the brick pavers from an existing patio with the new patio expansion and even though it didn't match exactly, it looks really good. We were impressed with the construction supervisor and his crew. They worked very hard in the heat and finished the work on schedule. We would recommend them to anyone who is considering hardscape work.

I have been on a monthly maintenance plan with Horticulture for 6 months now and am very impressed. My yard has never looked better. I am looking forward to undergoing a yard renovation with them over the coming years, but until then, I know that my yard is in good hands. I also have them come out periodically to professionally trim my huge Blue Palo Verde. The arborists are fantastic! Check out the time lapse (ignore the shed which needs to be replaced badly).

After dealing with inexpensive, incompetent landscapers for 13 years, I realized my yard looked horrible and the money spent was not well spent. I found Horticulture Unlimited by asking several reputable nurseries whom they would recommend. From my first meetings with Horticulture Unlimited personnel, which included a meeting with one of the owners, I knew I had made the right decision.
Everything is in-house, from landscape design to landscape maintenance and the owners are both degreed horticulturists, one even a certified arborist. One of the owners, Dawn Fried, has written 2 books on desert plants and landscaping--Design Build & Bloom: Creating the Perfect Southwest Landscape, and The Art of Southwest Landscaping. These books are full of plant and design ideas--which is extremely helpful if you want to have an informed conversation about the kinds of plants you prefer and what works best in your yard environment.
Even with all this expertise, I found both their yard renovation and maintenance proposals to be reasonable, and every person I have dealt with returns emails and phone calls promptly and professionally. So if you are tired of paying the guy with the truck and want a garden not just a yard of rocks and struggling plants, I would not hesitate to hire Horticulture Unlimited. My only regret is I did not discover them sooner.

We used Horticulture Unlimited to re-do our back landscaping to add nothing but native plants and add a drip system, small paver patio and fountain. Everything turned out beautifully. We are snowbirds, so some of the plants didn't make it, but they came out and replaced them. The following year, we had them do the front yard to get rid of all the non-native plants.
They built a beautiful river rock swale for the scupper run-off and a small raised area that gave it a more interesting look. We had them move a ocotillo that was too big out back to the front, and it looks great there. It was great working with Dave, and all the guys who did the work were timely, respectful and did great work. I highly recommend Horticulture Unlimited!

Horticulture Unlimited did landscape renovations and installed a new drip irrigation system at my first home. I decided to have them come to my house twice a month to maintain the landscaping at my second home. Their landscape maintenance crews are meticulous. Over the past year, they have done a wonderful job in maintaining my landscape at a very reasonable price. I am very pleased with the landscaping service I have received thus far, and I recommend Horticulture Unlimited without reservation.

These guys are excellent landscapes! Being new in Tucson, I had no idea about desert plants, so I decided to do some research online. The Horticulture Unlimited website gave me a ton of information and allowed me to request a quote for plant installation online. They contacted me right away and came out to my home the following day. The gentleman who came out took a survey of my yard.
He showed me pictures of various native and desert-friendly plants that he suggested I install, and he provided an estimate for the cost of the plants and the installation. The estimate was reasonable, so I gave him the go-ahead to do the work. Horticulture Unlimited completed the work fast, and I was very impressed. Everything looks great. They are truly landscape professionals!

As a Tucson business owner, I recommend Horticulture Unlimited for landscape maintenance. They are reliable, professional, and they know the plants. There are several "landscaping companies" in Tucson, AZ. Many don't know enough about desert plants or how to keep a lawn green in the summer. Most are not reliable. When my last landscaper failed to show up, I found Horticulture Unlimited.
They've maintained the grounds around my business for about three years now. They keep the lawn green, the grounds clean and the trees and plants healthy. I'm glad I found Horticulture Unlimited, and I would recommend this company to friends and fellow business owners.

It is my pleasure to write this review of the quality workmanship provided by Horticulture Unlimited, Inc. I was previously dismayed by a recent experience with another Tucson landscaping company who installed several plants and turf that didn't survive the summer. Horticulture Unlimited renewed my faith in landscape contractors in Tucson, AZ when they replaced the dead bushes and revitalized my dying lawn.
They also upgraded my irrigation system and gave me some detailed instructions on how to care for my landscape. Their services were more expensive than the other landscaper, but well-worth the extra cost. My yard is now attractive and sustainable, thanks to Horticulture Unlimited.

A Horticulture Unlimited tree crew, Ron and Eddie, trimmed a large mesquite tree in my yard this afternoon. They were professional in every aspect, communicating with me about what they were going to do and why, and showing me the result of the trimming with an explanation about how the tree was going to adapt and fill out. They went above and beyond by leaving my yard cleaner than it was before they arrived.
Their care about the quality of their work showed through. While at my house, we discussed future care for the tree as well as landscaping ideas for a project I plan for the future. I really appreciate having this done and will definitely use this company in the future.
