We absolutely love how our patio project turned out. We did need to wait a bit to get the project going as with anything these days because of Covid. Totally worth the wait! Jesse, Chuck and Jack had such great vision for what needed to be done. Their team got the project done in 10 days! They gave me perfect instructions on where to go to pick out materials.

We are fairly new to the Scottsdale area and put our trust in Desert Crest and they came through for us. We would definitely use them again when it comes time to update the pool.

What an absolutely amazing experience! We wanted to completely renovate our front and back yards. Jack, Chuck, and Jesse made sure our yard is literally the envy of the neighborhood. The only thing we kept was the mailbox! We had three companies come out to bid the project, and Desert Crest was head and shoulders above the rest. Jack spent a lot of time with us listening to what we wanted. Jack and Chuck worked with us until we had a plan that was exactly what we needed.

We felt understood and well guided. Picking out finishes was an easy task - we loved all the options. Chuck designed a fire pit, water feature, artificial turf, putting green, and outdoor kitchen - along with infrastructure drainage, plantings, hardscape, and lighting. The work was started on time and finished a few weeks ahead of schedule. Jesse kept in contact with us constantly so we knew what was coming up.

There were workers on site daily except for rainy days and a few weekends. Everyone who worked on the project was so professional, and the work site was cleaned up each day. Even once the project was "finished", we have had excellent customer service. Two plantings that died were quickly replaced. Anything that needed to be finished up from the punch list was attended to quickly.

Even the things we added last minute - new driveway and trash can screen - were done quickly and treated as if it was no problem. We have not regretted one dollar that we spent. We have used our backyard more in the past 6 months than we have in the past 50 years. I cannot recommend Desert Crest highly enough.

We reached out to Desert Crest back on June 17th to have them come out and give us a quote. Before they would come out, I had to confirm I wouldn't get more then 2 other quotes as they don't want to compete with more then that many. Sam came out on June 23rd and said it would take 3-4 weeks for a quote, but would try and get it back to me in 2 weeks.

Here we are almost 8 weeks later and not a word from Sam G or anyone from Desert Crest. Glad I didn't wait for them to respond.nor would I suggest anyone wasting their time with them. Terrible customer service especially when trying to make a sale on decent sized project.

Despite having a prearranged time to get a free estimate, they were a no show. That's no way to run a business.

I wanted to amend my previous review. I was having difficulty contacting the owner for some service, some of the problem may have been the pandemic issues, but I eventually talk to him and resolved the issue.

The Project: 2,500 square feet of travertine paver, custom fire pit, custom aluminum pergola, water feature, stone facing of existing BBQ island. Our background: I worked in residential construction from laborer to finish carpenter. 40 years in hospital work including serving as the Owner's Rep on construction projects. My wife and I have had three houses built and two extensively renovated.

I would describe myself as having high expectations. Outcome: Excellent quality. On time. Less than 2% variance in cost due to issues that came up during the project (issues nearly always occur during renovation projects). All issues/questions resolved quickly and fairly to our mutual satisfaction. The Rating: We rate Desert Crest and Jesse Inzunza as a 10 on a 1-10 scale.

If you want people to pay closer attention to the areas that you serve, perhaps it should be on the Home page of your website. The fact that you're responding 10 months after my post speaks volumes. I'm sure you're doing very well for yourself serving the uber wealthy in Paradise Valley. Wishing you continued success.

Jesse is the best. We have been using him and his company since we moved here in the mid 90s. He is creative and honest and has grown his business from landscape to General Contracting. He has landscaped a new home, done maintenance landscaping, built an outdoor kiva and seating, re-landscaped another home, built another outdoor fireplace and seating, planted trees, correct a construction error in the house, built an entire back yard in a new home, redid the pool tile and built a 30 x 25' outdoor kitchen building complete with granite, stainless steel, gas and electric for us so far. We have not found a project he cannot do and do well. Great staff and most have been with him for years.

Chuck and Jesse did a great job with our backyard! We interviewed several landscaping companies. Pricing for all was competitive. What sold us on Desert Crest were the photos Chuck brought that showed how our backyard would look when finished. Really appreciated that they worked our smaller project into their busy schedule. Work was done quickly and professionally.

I wish there were more companies like this in the greater Phoenix area. It is rare to find a company with this much integrity and attention to detail in the construction industry. Charles was my first point of contact in building an outdoor BBQ Island. Just from the beginning in speaking with him I could tell that he knew exactly where I was going with my idea.

I gave him a rough sketch and he turned it into an even better finish product. But the great thing about him is that he was available and a quick phone call away every time I had a quick question or a new thought about the install of the appliances. He Even drove over to my property again several times after the initial meeting to go over finishes and last minute details. Jesse is the owner and he is the head of the construction crew and his personality is just as easy-going and attentive as Charles.

His crew was there EVERY DAY ALL DAY and that thing was done in 5 days! After The thing was done and he was already paid I even noticed a few small defects and sent him a text message and he replied within a couple hours and Assured me that he would take care of it. He did just that. Promptly they came out and it was done. No fuss or drama.

Jesse has an amazing eye and sharp eye for detail. His crew is kind, efficient, and extremely hard working. It has been a pleasure working with Jesse and would HIGHLY recommend anyone working with him. Thank you so very much Jesse. I am thrilled and beyond!

I am giving this business five stars. Jesse's company has taken care of our yard for eleven years. He has done hardscaping and the monthly maintenance all of that time. In fact he did the original work the year before we bought this house. He is honest, responds to my concerns, and I have found him to be competitively priced on any job I have hired them to do.

Even though he has handled our home all this time I still bid any work out that is sizeable. Just my style. We are located in North Scottsdale in eleven years his crew has never been late or missed a month. They often run by after storms to make sure everything is okay. I will add that a few times over the years I have felt something was overlooked or not done.

I call his office and he calls back every time and fixes whatever needs to be done. No one is perfect but they sure try. FYI, he was with the previous company that did our home in case someone with a sharp eye notes he opened in 2007.

Called this landscaper twice. He showed up the first time when we just had the house as a vacation rental. We told him what we wanted and we never heard from him again. He claims we got an estimate from him which we did not and he also claims he tried to contact us numerous times by phone which are both untrue. So, I year goes by and we decide to move into the rental home.

I thought I would try Jesse again (big mistake) as I thought maybe there was some type of miscommunication on both of our parts. Made an appointment with him again. He was suppose to show up at 9 a.m. He calls prior to that saying he forgot he had to go to his child's event of some kind and would not be at our home until 1pm. I said that was fine.

He then says that his minimum job requirement was $5,000. I again said Ok, that is fine since we have a very large lot and I knew we would be spending much more than that. He then says he would not be able to start the job until 2014. I again said Ok as I was not in a huge hurry. It was like he was trying to get out of doing the job. Anyway, He shows up at the house.

We went over everything we wanted to do with him. He looks everything over and says he would need a lot layout and would be back in a few days to take pictures of the lot. My husband emailed the lot layout to him and guess what? Yes, you are correct. We never see or hear from him again. Also, he never said he was going on vacation as he states in his reply.

His follow-up to my complaint are loaded with lies. It is nice to know that we made the right choice and called another landscaper as I believe our landscaping project would have been a nightmare working with Jesse.

We love our yard! Jesse was great to work with and came up with a great design. We had them install a huge fire pit and built in BBQ grill surrounded by a huge paver patio in our backyard and install a new irrigation system for the front and back yards. His crew is hard working and efficient. Everyone knew what they were doing and didn't make mistakes or waste time.

They jumped right in and completed the huge task in a timely manner. Before we decided on Desert Crest, we had 6 other companies bid the job. Most couldn't formulate their own design, and only 1 other company even drew up the plans. They would just bid exactly what I told them, but I wanted someone who could improve on my ideas and come up with something incredible. Jesse is that guy. He drew everything up in a nice detailed plan. Can't recommend them enough. If you need your yard done, contact Desert Crest.

Jesse took our drawing and made it a reality. He went over and above with his responsive attention to detail. Wow, a great job and fantastic end product. We will use Desert Crest again.

I stopped a truck with the logo "Desert Crest" on its side and asked if they laid crushed rock. The man said yes, came over immediatedly and looked at what i wanted done. Told me his boss would call me shortly. That evening I had a phone call, the next day, a visit and two days later a "quote". Since i live in an HOA, there were things that needed approval etc.

But once it was agreed and my deposit mailed. Desert Crest was here and completed my job professionally and beyond my expectations. We sit and look at their work and say "Why did we not find them and have this done sooner". We already have other things that we want them to do for us. We "Highly" recommend them for all landscaping.

We called Desert Crest based on reviews found here on Kudzu. We were not disappointed. The owner has provided superior service. He presented us with a beautiful design based on our thoughts, then added more of his own which were creative and beautiful. His crew were hard working and courteous. The job was finished sooner then promised and is more beautiful than imagined. Jesse has been responsive to every question and concern we've had and the couple of issues we've had (broken sprinkler head) were fixed by the next morning. I HIGHLY recommend this landscaper.

We highly recommend Desert Crest for landscaping projects. Desert Crest has done an outstanding job on our property. We had originally used Jesse when our property was newly landscaped 10 years ago. After 10 years of growth, we decided it was time to refresh our landscaping to reflect our changed appreciation of our desert environment. We had received several bids, some of which were outrageous.

The Desert Crest quote was both reasonable and Jesse stood behind the quote. It only changed when we added additional components to it.

However, price was not the main issue. Jesse and his team listened to the special requirements we had, took us to pick out the plants and trees, and also advised us regarding which plants and trees not to use. The landscaping project was a collaborative process and we are now thoroughly pleased with the outcome.

Our newly refreshed landscaping has really changed the look of our property. We admire it every day. In addition, we are delighted to see our desert landscape begin to change with the season. We will also be using Desert Crest for our monthly maintenance.
