After we design your landscape with the perfect trees, shrubs, ground covers and flowers to match your design taste and maintenance preferences, we select the healthiest plant material from the finest growers and nurseries in the Metroplex to ensure that your finished landscape is spectacular. We install all of your plant material using the correct root ball depth, perfect soil mixture, and recommended lighting that each plant needs to thrive. Moreover, Backyard Creations, LLC specializes in the installation of plants that are either native or well adapted to our growing region and climate. By using these plants, they are much more likely to maintain optimal long-term health, require less overall maintenance, and become more drought tolerant once established. After your landscape installation, we educate you on the ongoing fertilization, watering, and maintenance needs of your new landscape. Of course you can hire us to maintain it as well.
Landscape Design Services

Our landscape design team can create a full master plan for your entire property. First, we listen closely to our clients landscape design desires, needs, personal tastes, maintenance preferences, and wishes. Then, we complete a landscape assessment of the property where we determine sunlight variances throughout the property, soil health and quality, and any areas with special needs such as areas with erosion or drainage concerns. Next, we complete a detailed scaled architect drawing to the fullest detail. And last, we walk you through the landscape design plan to help assure your satisfaction.

Rich and his team just finished up a complete landscape overhaul on our front yard beds. He did a fantastic job on the design and implementation. I am blown away by the transformation. We used Backyard Creations last summer to do a complete tear-out and makeover of our front landscaping. Rich listened carefully to our list of likes and dislikes and then created a beautiful design and worked hard to see that it was executed perfectly. They were such a joy to work with that we called them again this year to do the back. Once again, they drafted a beautiful design and we are thrilled with the end result. We had two projects with Backyard Creations. One was a redesign of the landscape for our front yard. The second was removing dead plants and replacing with new plants in our backyard. Communication was very good throughout the projects. The amount of time quoted to deliver a new design and do the actual planting was spot on. Rich and Mary listen and are easy to work with. The plants used are well suited for the Texas climate and we couldn't be happier with the results. Thank you!

Great experience with this company. I had a bad water drainage problem between my house and the neighbors. I moved in 2 years ago and the side yard was always muddy. Neighbor told me it had always been that way since new, year 2000. Rich from Backyard Creations came out. They ended up fixing the grade on the side between the houses. They did an excellent job!
Super clean, professional, and excellent workmanship. I was very pleased! Rich is a great guy. Very nice and professional. My neighbor was so impressed with how clean and precise they were that he took their number for future projects on things he needs done. Great company and people!

Rich and Mary at Backyard Creations did an amazing job for us! We built a new home and they drafted an incredible landscape design including a lot of stone work to match our house. Then they installed everything and it looks even better than the original plan! The quality and health of all plantings is outstanding and the quality of their work is a 10 out of 10.

Been dealing with Rich and Backyard Creations for a good 15+ years now. He just finished a grass project and had the neighbors coming over and asking about the work! Always top notch and Rich knows his craft better than most out there. If you're looking to penny save, cut corners and want less than average results then Backyard Creations is not for you. Have recommended Rich to family & friends! You get what you pay for with them!

Backyard Creations was a great company to work with. Rich came out and consulted with me about a flagstone patio, drainage and new landscape in my front yard. He was the second company that I had out. The first company charged me $95. to come out but their install fee was out of my price range. Rich from Backyard Creations charged me $75. and worked hard to consult with me about my patio and yard and keep my cost low. He was concerned about proper drainage and saved me money in the long run. I love my patio and landscape. Thanks Rich and his crew.
