Been very disappointed with this company. They were recommended by neighbours of ours. They performed the job adequately and it looked great but quoted a one year warranty and willingness to come out to fix any issues in that timeframe. When a minor issue came up, they basically don't answer the phone, let it go to voicemail or pretend that their phone broke.

It has been 2 months since the minor turf issue was raised with nails protruding, and I can't get into contact with them. Considered legal action, but just decided to go with another company to fix their mess. Really poor business model. Multiple neighbours have asked for their contact information to do turf work and I always recommend against them.

Upon looking at some of the other reviews, this is apparently not the first time. If you use them, pray that there are no issues, otherwise they will just ghost and pretend like they never did a job for you. Had I known, I would have gone with a reliable company that I can count on versus From the Ground Up

I hired Marc and his crew to install a potting green as a birthday gift for my husband several months ago. We're extremely happy for how it turned out, it has been great fun for the entire family. They were very puntual, polite, and every time I had questions, their answers made me feel very confident. I will definitely be hiring them again in the future.

Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness Actually to be honest the work was good. Just don't pay them untill they have been given everything promised. I have attempted to reach Mark multiple times to get the remainder of my material and have been given multiple promises with no action and now I get no response. Don't pay them upfront!

They completely changed our house into a showcase. We have had lots of compliments. They know what they’re doing. Very pleased.

We hired Marc to do our backyard because of our dogs digging. He was there when he said he would be. And done in two days. Very very happy with the results. It's been about 5 months and we still love it and the dogs do too! Would definitely recommend.

Marc and his crew are some of the hardest workers I've ever seen. They are like clockwork when it comes to arrivals and, unless it's lightening, rain does not stop their production. This organization is meticulous, creative, and won't give up even when most would walk away when the going gets tough. My project initially started as a 2 week project and because of a long duration of bad weather, some city 'interest' due to years of their neglect, and a specific neighbor attempting to consistently cause issues to me and my project 'just because', it has spanned for many additional weeks. If you need to hire a landscape designer and installer that will get it done, get it done right, and make sure it's done to full customer satisfaction, this is where you go.

Quality service, quality work well worth it. Marc and crew made our dreams come true. From a fire pit to pavers and some articifiial turf. Every detail you dont see,they capture and cultivate to beauty. It's a shame you can only give 5 stars. From The Ground Up deserves 10 stars. I recently had Mark and From the Ground Up crew complete an outdoor renovation project at my house, and I can see why he gets awesome reviews. Mark went above and beyond to make sure all the details were met from the ground up. It's awesome to know that people still believe in attention to detail. They went out of there way to make sure all of our requests were met with no questions asked.

From start to finish it was seamless and smooth sailing except for the weather. Mark came back weeks after our project was complete. Just to make sure we were still satisfied with the work he and crew had completed. It was awesome to know even though they had moved on to another project or 2, he still cared enough to drive to our home to make sure.

On a side note the price was dirt cheap compared to some of the prices we got from other companies. Overall great company and we will continue to utilize From the Ground Up. Mark thank you for all you have done!

I hired Marc for 3000 square feet of sod remove and replace. They did a great job in all aspects, excellent crew. Aligned me with chemical company for best results. Looks great.

Like the other guy wrote, they make the promise to make the sale and never complete it to our expectations which are high when it comes to my home.

I figure if I pay good money for something I expect equal service. A friend referred Marc and his team, and wow! I wish I knew about his service 3 failures ago! Marc also met with us on 2 weekends to help choose the style that would fit us. I will always use From the Ground Up for any and all landscape needs. They are fantastic people to work with who perform wonderfully every chance they get.

Not professional at all.did not even keep his own appt that he set up. And all he could say was that he was working. No apologies not even try to go out of his way to reset the appt. Would not recommend!

I can't believe how beautiful my lawn looks now! It was an absolute disaster before. We had them come in and remove all of the preexisting plants and tree we had. The stump grinned the whole area then tilled up the soil to aerate it. I went to the plant nursery with them to pick out plants and trees, which I had a great time doing. Marc is full of knowledge when it comes to landscaping.

We have a bit of shade in some areas and full sun in others. He knew exactly what will survive and look good year round. The plants we picked out were unique and the look we now have isn't replicated at any other house I've seen. After they installed the plants and trees they installed a lot of river jack rocks, which are absolutely gorgeous and remind me of smooth river rocks from the mountains.

This project cost about $6,000.00 which was a little more than I wanted to initially pay but I would do it all over again if I had to. They exceeded my expectations 10x. Thank you so much!

I never really thought I would have artificial grass in my backyard! Marc is the man, I have never met someone so excited about what they do, he loves his work-obviously! Initially I had a huge patch of weed/dirt. I wanted put St. Augustine grass, the darn thing was always dying and I didn't want to run a sprinkler line and really I thought it was going to be a waste of money.

He recommended I try synthetic turf or artificial grass and rockscape- that was the greatest landscaping advice ever. He broke it down instead of telling me what I wanted to hear. I've had too many experience with overselling and overpromising contractors. The thing is he gave me what my house needed, not what he wanted to sell me. I have been researching and getting quotes for our yard renovations. We wanted a functional (with the “WOW” factor) yard to make the house stand out more. As part of makeover, we also wanted to expand the existing paved driveway. Most of the landscape or paver companies only provide service for one or another, which makes the job scheduling a bit tough.

Marc (the owner and project manager) came couple days after our first conversation to take measurements, to listen to our ideas, and to give us his expert advice and designs. Marc was honest with us about his busy schedule and asked us to be patient with him since he oversees all of his projects to make sure jobs are done perfectly and professionally.

We bundled everything into the quote and got a very competitive quote from Marc. He has an amazing crew that did a fantastic job. They listened to our ideas, answered our questions, and kept us updated of the progress every step of the way. The project took longer than anticipated because Marc corrected every little things that he didn’t feel that it was perfect.

If you want job done perfectly and flawlessly, hire Marc and his crew. They are very dedicated, coordinated, and very knowledgeable and professional. They don’t rush to finish the project, but rather to make sure every step is done correctly and the job is done beautifully. When we bought the house, the whole front yard was full of weeds and dirt. Marc cleaned out the yard, added hedge plants as fence all the way around the yard, planted Tuscany theme plants, new sods, installed lighting systems to illuminate trees, expanded existing paved driveway, and built columns with wall lights for the driveway entry.

Hired Marc and his crew to install an irrigation system and resod my backyard about 2 months ago. The work looked great when just finished, and now 2 months in, the yard has been fully established and it's taken quite well. The sod was high quality, and the irrigation system has maintained a strong and healthy looking st. augustine. I'd happily recommend his services to my friends and family.

Marc has created a simple yet classy look in my front yard which is a thing of beauty. Prior to the installation, he clearly explained to me the whole process, from choosing the right sod and plants, to yard preparation. His extensive knowledge in landscaping is quite impressive plus he has a great personality and easy to get along with. Landscapers like him are hard to come by and they are few and far between.

Initially before the two day installation, he sprayed the pre-existing grass and left it to die/wilt for several days, then he and a crew came back, removed the dead grass using a sod cutter. They also installed the plants ( Crape Myrtles, Bromeliads, Agapanthus and Podocarpus) on the same day. I was blown away by how quickly they finished installing the plants.

Clearly they have a green thumb and a knack for landscaping. Next day they installed the sod and when they finished the job, my yard was a sight to behold and I felt overjoyed by the transformation. Marc's ability to create clean lines around the edges of the grass is just simply beautiful. The quality of work he delivers is what I love the most. It's been ten days after the installation and the lawn has transformed with a vibrant green grass. Praises from neighbors here and there.
