My wife and I bought our house about a year ago. The property was a bit neglected before we moved in so we wanted to revamp the landscaping around our entire property. The Ross and Jacks team didn't disappoint! We had a great experience from quote to completion. Communication was phenomenal and the design was beautifully executed. They truly went above and beyond our wildest expectations. The neighbors keep stopping by to compliment how gorgeous everything is, especially the new hardscape. This company was very knowledgeable and professional to work with and the office team and crew did a great job. They spent a lot of time answering our questions and talking through scope of work so we'd feel good about the plan. They did point out a bit of other work for us to think about beyond our initial scope contemplated and ultimately we settled on a scope we felt best to work on now and will consider other work with them in the future. We appreciated having their thoughts overall on how to improve our landscaping and hardscaping.

I can't say enough about the CHARACTER of the people who work for Ross and Jack's. The other day, my older parents were outside trimming their bushes on uneven ground and struggling. One of their employees was working across the street and offered to help when he was done with his current work. He came over and finished the other half that my parents hadn't done yet in 5 minutes - it took my parents over 30 on the side they did.

When my mom called to tell me the story, she was crying she was so overwhelmed with gratitude at his kindness and generosity. When I told her to call the company and tell them what their employee had done for them, it took her literally 30 tries because she kept crying so hard she had to hang up before leaving the message. I wish I could mention that man by name here, to give him the proper credit he deserves, but my parents never got his name.

I can only hope R&J share this review with him. Thank you, sir, truly. And thank you to R&J for hiring people like that. Not only was what your employee did an incredible act of kindness, but it was GREAT WORK. My mom said "the only bad part about it is that now the side we did ourselves looks like trash by comparison". He's now on her prayer list, by the way. I promise you that the next time they need landscaping work of any sort, you will be getting their call. You and your people EARNED it. Thank you again!

I used Jack & Ross after recommendations from other people online. I'm glad we did, they revamped our front landscaping, buried a downspout and leveled out our lawn with all new sod. Mike and his crew were very kind, knowledgeable and completed the job quickly. Anytime I had a question, Mike was more than happy to answer! Even after the job was completed if I had questions or concerns he got back to me ASAP. I would highly recommend them for your landscaping needs!

I feel that trust is important when choosing a contractor to perform work on your home or yard. I have had R&J do a couple of projects at my home and have grown comfortable with them. In the most recent project they added sod, pavers, and some landscaping to my back yard. They took their time, which meant a lot to me. Moving forward, we are going to replace portions of my concrete driveway. I will post pictures once that is completed. Ross and Jacks is BBB Accredited with an A rating.

Outstanding - would give them more than 5 stars if possible. We moved to Elmhurst in 2022 and our backyard was a mess. No grass under a shade tree, water pooling in the corner of the yard after rain, small poorly maintained shrubs, trees and lawn. I contacted Ross and Jack's and met with Mike who developed a plan for the yard with new trees, shrubs and most importantly, a dry well to address the pooling water.

After some back and forth we finalized the plan - Mike was very responsive to my input and very easy to work with. We scheduled the work and they showed up on time and in 4 days had the job done. The difference is night and day. No more pooling water, beautiful lawn, beautiful shrubs and trees, nice flagstone walks and perfectly mulched beds. Our neighbor who has lived here for 20 years said this is the best our yard has ever looked. We couldn't be happier with the result and strongly recommend Ross and Jack's to anyone who needs landscape work done.

Michael, the designer and project manager, worked with us from initial consultation to final walk through. If I could give more stars I would! From design to the installation, everything was so easy. The level of service and quality at Ross & Jacks is top notch and the staff really goes above and beyond. Michael really listened to what I was looking for in the design process and the crew was meticulous and respectful of my home/property throughout the entire time.

I never realized how much this project would impact the look of my house. This new look makes my "new" house feel more like mine and less like the previous owner's. I have had strangers compliment the work and noticed people taking pictures as well.

The crew of Ross and Jacks was amazing. They went above and beyond and were very concerned about our thoughts and making sure that were were happy and pleased with the results.

When we bought our home 3 years ago, the yard was a mess, then it got destroyed by two high drive puppies with digging etc. Then we had a project done that ran conduit from our house to our detached garage. Long story short, they transformed our yard in a matter of 2 days. They are extremely easy to work with, very responsive, and you can really tell they care about what they do.

If anyone needs a lawn care service, I can speak highly enough about them. See before and after photos of having our lawn stripped, regraded to solve a flooding issue, and new sod installed. Note, under the tarps is only mud, no grass.

This is our first year with Ross & Jack's Landscaping and it was the best decision! They have a wealth of knowledge and vision for what would elevate our existing landscaping. Ross and Jacks did an amazing job with my front garden. I had very rocky soil and roots from old evergreens that were taken out before I bought the house. There were a ton of weeds as well. Ross and Jacks came out and gave me a fair estimate within 24 hours of contacting them. They worked with me and my schedule and came out in an appropriate amount of time, given spring is the busy season.

They dug up all the old bad soil and replaced it with great garden soil and mulch. They rearranged my plants to make the garden more cohesive as well. I am very happy with how it turned out. I will be calling them again for more projects. 3 pictures were the before and the 2 pictures are the after. Happy plants!

I have nothing but great things to say about the team at Ross and Jack's! This past summer Ross and Jack's installed a dry well in my yard to help with water flow. As a recent first time home owner, I was definitely nervous about the whole project as it was quite large. But Michael and Alex walked me through the entire process, answered all questions, took care of getting permits with the city and informed of reimbursement opportunities with the city. The process was seamless and easy. And the work the team does on the ground is great and efficient. I have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

Ross & Jack's is absolutely amazing. I recently moved into a new home and while the yard was nice & had mature landscape, it was overgrown and needed a major clean up. I had no idea where to start. I had Ross & Jack's come to do a fall clean up. The owner Mark was very professional, knowledgeable about the landscape and helped me envision what my yard could look like.

Is perfect for a couple of chairs, a glass of wine beer or cocktail. What was once a completely overgrown, weeded and non-usable backyard., Was transformed, and now a safe haven for clients to relax in, while getting their hair processed at the hair salon. We 100% got it right with Ross and Jack's. The time came for a major landscaping job. It entailed over 110 plantings, front yard to back. The backyard cement walkway and patio needed to be removed and redesigned. We knew it was going to be a big financial commitment so we wanted to get it right. Ultimately we relied heavily on Yelp reviews and staying with a local company.

Mike Spatola came out and created a great design. He listened to us and executed a beautiful plan. He was completely honest and his quote itemized every single thing. We knew exactly how much we were paying for each individual plant and piece of sod. He introduced us to Luis with Beautiful Stones, Inc to do the cement work.

The Ross and Jack's crew were a phenomenally hardworking group in cold, rain and even snow. Mike was right on top of everything to ensure we were happy.

When it came time for the cement work, Mike was there to coordinate with Luis. Everything went seamlessly and the outcome was perfection.

I had a major soil erosion issue in my backyard allowing my soil around a very mature tree to wash away in heavy rains into my neighbor's yard behind my home. I also wanted to have a retaining wall in my front yard and some trees, plants and mulch to complete landscaping in my front yard. Downspout drains were also buried to resolve contributing factors to the soil erosion that I was experiencing.

The crew arrived on time and worked hard to complete the project. The end result, both front and back, not only met my expectations but exceeded them in every respect. The crew and Mike were very professional and respectful of my landscaping needs. I am elated with the final results.

Glad that we found Ross & Jack's Landscaping for our landscaping needs (clean up, new sod, new plantings, removing existing shrubs, design suggestions). Ross and Jack's is our "regular" landscaper, and I've always been happy with their work. But this time, I'm BLOWN AWAY! After having new concrete stairs put in we realized we had a grading issue. Mike came out and walked the area with us, making recommendations and, more importantly, listening to our concerns. I knew when they were done it would look good, but it's phenomonal.

Incredible to work with. Michael had a well thought out design and was not pushy. He would give you his recommendations and work with what you wanted. Great service, great design, great installation. We had landscaping done (plants and grass) and they also replaced the front walkway. Quick install and cleaned everything up afterwards. They are the only people we will use. Would recommend to everyone.

Mike from Ross and Jacks Landscaping exceeded expectations with the quality of work I expected form a drainage system and a retaining wall. Even when the problem was not 100% alleviated Mike made sure to troubleshoot and go above and beyond till the problem was fixed! Always kept me up to date with the status of the projects and offered me his expert opinion when choices had to be made (he's always pretty much right, just listen to him).
