Harlow Gardens Nursery

A beautiful selection, great service, and always a fun experience here if you're a plant lover! I've used Harlow Gardens for landscaping also, and they were very helpful through the entire process, and I was very happy with the final outcome. Bring in your challenged plants or photos of them, and the staff is there to assist. I love this place!

I tried to purchase a pot just now (out on display) and was told I had to wait an hour for the store to figure out how much to charge for it. If these are the usual practices, I wouldn't recommend shopping here.

Harlow Gardens is an amazing resource with stellar customer service. Henry is top notch! Our family ordered two TEP shade trees from Harlow Gardens. After getting the email they were available we went to pick them up. We've driven by Harlow in the past, but never went inside. It looks a little small from the front, but it's like a Tardis and it's much bigger as you go in. Henry was super helpful in showing us where the desert willow trees were and even took time to help us choose the best looking ones.

He also helped my wife find some additional plants in the clearance area. Henry had lots of tips and helpful knowledge for growing plants in our desert climate. Definitely recommend checking out Harlow Gardens for all your plant needs!

I used to go to Harlow Gardens all the time and spend a lot of money there. One day I was telling an employee about a challenge I was experiencing in my front yard. He encouraged me to buy this spray to use on my mesquite tree. Trusting him, I followed his recommendations. However, the spray didn't work as the employee had indicated. So I returned to the store and explained what had happened.

The cashier made a phone call and 15 minutes later, the manager appeared with a big frown, as if we were disrupting her day. I explained again what had happened, and she angrily interrupted me, telling me that her employee hadn't known what he was talking about. To her credit, she gave me my money back. What I remember most, though, was her attitude that the false information her employee had given me was somehow my fault. If the manager treats her customers this way, one can only imagine how poorly she treats her employees.

My mom gave us a gift card to check this place out, we visited once and came back again with the intention of bringing home a large indoor plant. Amazing help from Ernesto, strong knowledge and they potted the plant for me, incredible experience overall!

They have great landscaping skills. They have talented know how. They can set your landscape just the way you want it. They have been to it for 75 years. They are the experts. Check out the great deals. They can draw out Blue prints on your landscape can look with a variety list of plants of your choice. Do not miss out on your chance to have a great landscaping all around your yard.

This store was fantastic! I wish I had more space in my car, I'd buy all the cactus! Great place for out of town visitors (we came from Colorado).

Highly recommended knowledgeable and friendly local nursery! Harlow's is my go-to spot for locally grown varieties that are suitable for Tucson. Other nurseries (e.g. Lowe's, Mesquite Valley, Home Depot) advertise and sell plant varieties that aren't conducive to the area but look amazing on their shelves. Higher priced than the big box stores and worth it every time.

Our long-awaited back yard landscape/renovation project was done by Harlow's and we are extremely happy with the process and the results. All of the staff who worked on our project were professional and helpful: from the planners/designers to the project manager to the craftsmen/installers to the office/nursery staff. We very much appreciate the attention to detail and exceptional work with us as the customers. The quality of the work and materials met and exceeded our expectations.

My dad needed a little nature on his patio and I wanted him to get good quality plants that wouldn't cause him worry. Their really sweet and knowledgeable staff helped guide us to our best options. All the plants I saw were good quality and they transplanted very well. Wish they had a larger succulent selection, but I think that's more of a supply chain thing than how they stock. Pots are lovely but on the pricey side. However, everything else is lovely. So glad we got our plants here.

We are happy to give excellent marks to Harlow Gardens/Landscape for the exceptional work performed in our back yard. The quality and variety of plant materials available to us, the expert advice and attention to our preferences/needs and the excellent service/work performed by staff made this a wonderful experience for us. Our decision to go with a local Tucson business that has been serving our community for many years paid off very well for us. We will enjoy the results for years to come.

Such a pleasant nursery to visit. Plentiful and varied plants, planters, and garden trellises. Very colorful and inspirational. Really enjoy this nursery.

I have a special fondness for Harlow's. I worked there in the early 80s and Bill Harlow was like a father to me. Now I am in my 50's and love going to Harlow's because it is like going to a botanical garden where everything is for sale! The staff is always friendly a d helpful, and there are people that STILL work there from when I was there so long ago.

It speaks volumes to how much the people who own Harlow Gardens take care of their staff. It may be a little pricier than big box nurseries, but it is well worth it-especially since their plants are guaranteed. Stop in! It's a beautiful nursery!

I love Harlows it is the best nursery in tucson! Such a beautiful place always feel welcome the employees are so friendly to us especially our lil doggie Chiquita! She loves them also. I came to Harlow Gardens to get a climbing plant as a last-minute Father's Day gift - typically I go to Green Things but wanted to give somewhere closer to my house a try. They have a good selection and I was able to get a decent-sized cat's claw for a reasonable price. Some items were a little pricier than I'd want to pay but I am not sure their prices are any different than another local nursery.

A staff member helped us select the healthiest-looking cat's claw, gave good advice on its care, and was very friendly. At the checkout they had some free plants that were an extra bonus! I'd recommend checking this place out if you're wanting to buy local and get plant care advice from people who know what they're doing!

Jesse at Harlow Gardens is an artist. He created a wonderful cactus/succulent centerpiece for my patio. Harlow Gardens is first rate in customer service, landscaping and garden essential.

I came by today to pick up Black Gold cactus potting mix. They seem to be the only Nursery that carries it now in the large bags. I use this soil for all my transplants and little pots. Always had success.

So many fun things to see and what a great selection of plants, pots, tchotchkes, succulents and even clothing and jewelry. I'm a garden center junky and love to check out garden centers when I travel. This did not disappoint! I will be back!

Harlow Gardens has a beautiful selection, but there are no bargains. Their products are sold at a premium. However, my biggest disappointment is that they partner with Tolson Irrigation. The fact that they associate with such an unethical company, is why I dropped their rating from 4 to 2 stars. We had 5 professional bonded irrigation companies bid on installing a new system for us. #1 Greg Tolson showed up without a mask, was not vaccinated and not interested in getting one.

He blatantly ignores Covid protocols even though Pima County is still under a mask mandate. #2 They were the least flexible and took the longest to come out for an appointment by 3 weeks. He was supposed to show up between 9 - 12, but showed up around 8:15 am without so much as phone call; again inconsiderate & insensitive to customers. #3. His was the highest bid out of the 5 (by a long shot).

The second highest bid came from a very high end landscape architect at $1,500 cheaper than Tolson! We won't support businesses who are Covid blind, and those who scam customers with "insult pricing".

They have a huge selection of plants, their soil seems really moist and rich. Also have really cute garden accessories and sculptures. We will be back:

Another one of my favorite places! This nursery has beautiful, high quality products. Harlow Gardens carries anything from your Annual to your basic pot. If you prefer fancy.they've got that too! Staff are friendly and knowledgable. Layout of the nursery is easy to navigate, well signed and always clean. Gift shop is unique and carries a large assortment of gifts and decor. All of my purchases from here have been well worth the money. I visit this location at least twice a week and I enjoy each and every visit.

Harlow Gardens is my favorite local nursery for buying annual flowers and plants for my container gardens. They always have healthy plants that are appropriate for Tucson, most of them in 4 pots (the best size for planting annuals). I find their prices to be comparable if not better than the other garden centers in town, and the plants to be better quality. The staff is friendly and helpful and it's always a pleasure to shop for plants here.

I can't rave enough about this #littletucsongem. They are so nice and helpful! It makes nursery shopping such an ease. They not only offer beauty indoor and outdoor plant options but beautiful outdoor art options. I found so many unique pieces to bring my front yard remodel to fruition! They are open Sunday's as well!

My wife and I stopped in to purchase some annuals. We have been here before and received quality customer service. This time was anything but quality service. We asked an employee if he could answer a question. He said that he was helping someone else. Fine. My wife and I walked around looking at other plants. No one came to assist us. In fact, no one could be seen. Later, as we are walking towards the exit, the employee who we asked for assistance, just walked by us.

No 'Hello' 'Thank you for coming by' or 'Did anyone help you.' If the establishment does not care about the customer then we, the customer have a choice! We choose not to spend our hard earned money at Harlow Gardens,
