Aspen Landscape Development

We have been working with ALD since moving here in 2011. We have never been disappointed. Jarrod and John are top notch. They respond and are very diligent towards getting the job done correctly and without delay. Their guys are good too. In every case the quality and timing of their work has been above par as they work without need of much supervision.

Not much wasted time with them. For sure! We also use their irrigation maintenance and repair service. Over the years we have spent well over six figures for their services. They were worth every penny!

They did a HUGE landscape job for me and DID NOT plant almost 1/3 of what was on their design! I had a landscape architect walk my property with me and ALD design and she told me exactly what I thought. there were many missing plants, fruit trees! SO horrible to work with. Wanted to sue them but did not have the time to.

We hired Aspen to install a new patio on our property, refigure our irrigation system, and install some new sod. We were very happy with their crew. They came on time every day until the job was complete. They were very friendly, answered our questions, and cleaned up thoroughly each day. The patio looks beautiful, and all the small jobs were completed to our satisfaction. Would recommend them for this type of landscape project.

ALD did a great job on our yard. They went all the way from ripping out the weeds to putting in pavers and new plants. Our yard is transformed!

I have been working ALD for a little over a year, and just had them completely overhaul our irrigation system (10 acres, automated, underground). This was not an easy job, and had a couple of challenging moments. The crew at ALD did everything they could to make it right, and get the job done. They addressed the issues head on, no corners were cut, and I couldn't be more satisfied.

We are so lucky to finally have a landscaping company we can trust. We have a 20 acre farm so there are always time consuming projects to do. Our previous landscaping company had poor customer service and never called us back. Our large lawn that encircles the house was almost completely dead. Ben and his team brought it all back in one season and we are thrilled.

Among all the farm projects we have going on we never have to worry about the landscaping around our house and beyond. It looks better than when we moved in two years ago. Aspen LD is responsive, friendly, trustworthy, and they do excellent work. Highly recommend!

We had 18 trees and 49 bushes installed by ALD. The on-the-site crew and maintenance staff are conscientious and know their stuff. That's the good. The bad: At first, their inside Design person was responsive to contacts. But after we signed an agreement, that deteriorated. ALD inside customer service is poor and their estimates are inaccurate.

Their proposals are vaguely written which allows overcharging. They were unable to commit to the original landscape install date and postponed by twice resulting in a 6 week install delay. Their excuse for the delay was inability to get the planting material, even though the order had supposedly been place 6 months previously in the fall, specifically so our order would be "front of line" for spring season - as we were assured by their Design person. Subsequent, additional work was billed at Time and Materials and was more than 10% over budget for less than 24 man-hours of labor on a site and with plantings they had installed previously, so had great familiarity.

Crew was on-site for 18 hours but billed 23 hours. Billing included "equipment charge" that was never mentioned in the proposal and estimate. Their inside billing person argued that "proposal estimate" allows them to charge more because it was just an "estimate". After the initial Design phase was done their inside Design person was extremely unresponsive regarding install timing and plant health questions. Email contact was ignored for several days until 2nd requests for reply were sent by us.

To date, no reply has been received regarding additional plant inquiries. Needless to say, there will be no additional work allocated to this company by us as we continue to develop our property. Internal staff and management are not trustworthy nor customer focused.

Aspen Landscape came out to my farm for blow out last season while I was not at home and did not blow out the entire rear section of my farm. Major damage to at least 40 ft of buried Schedule 40 PVC and 13 Falcon heads. This damage was massive and required a lot of time, money and aggravation to repair. They do not contact before they come but sure do send you a bill ASAP!

I will never have them on my farm again and I suggest you think about this review before you employ this company. I wrote them a serious e-mail complaining about the damage and told them not to come here again. Sure enough, they came out this year like nothing ever happened.

At first they bought my contract from my previous landscaper, and we had issues during the transition. They went out of their way to make it right and since then have been great to deal with.

Josh and his crew were fantastic start to finish. He kept in touch promptly via phone and email. He as well as his lead worker had great suggestions. Kind and calm. Can't go wrong!

We recently used the irrigation services of Aspen Landscape Development in bend, Oregon. The work was performed timely and professionally. We were very pleased with the work and would use them again in the future. This last spring, we obtained the services of Josh Brown to install irrigation and landscaping for our entire 6,000 sq.ft. lot. Josh performed all the work efficiently, professionally and with great knowledge of the Central Oregon flora and the best species to use in our yard.

The work was completed within the initial agreed upon proposal. Josh started and completed each phase of the project on the days and times that he scheduled. He went above and beyond in every facet of the work he performed. We plan to obtain Josh's services in the future and would highly recommend him.

We were first introduced to Aspen Landscape last year when our irrigation blow out contractor was not able to finish the job for 10 of the 25 properties our company cares for. With precious little time before the ground would freeze, Aspen responded on the spot and finished the remaining winterizations in the nick of time. We were so impressed by the immediate response and their team's clear and consistent communication that we used their services exclusively for winterizing 25 homes this year.

The irrigation blow outs were handled thoroughly and efficiently with excellent communication, tracking, and prompt invoicing. The entire experience with Aspen Landscape has been fantastic and we highly recommend their services!

Aspen delivered and planted 2 trees that were purchased from Moonfire and Sun nursery. Ben was very courteous and made sure the trees were placed exactly where we wanted.

You can't make an appointment with their sprinkler people. The just want to show up whenever. I keep my property gates locked and if I'm not there, they can't get in. I like to be home when someone is working at my property. These people don't want anyone overseeing what they do. I'm not talking about looking over their shoulder every two minutes, but I'm paying so I should know what's going on. Not the friendliest people I have ever dealt with either and they do charge TOP DOLLAR.

Never responded to phone calls. Did not adhere to the terms of the contract. When they did come out work was incomplete. Very poor customer service. Would not recommend them.
