Four Seasons Landscaping

I was a customer of 4 Seasons for several years, then during one visit, a hose broke (okay, it happens) on their machine/truck spraying way too much chemical on my lawn, and causing my grass to die in that area (see picture). 4 Seasons said that they would "take care of it." It took several calls to get them to do anything about it, at which point they came out and put down some grass seed with watering instructions for me, which I did.

They said if that didn't work that they would come out and replace it with sod. Eventually this stretched into late fall. When the grass seed still had not started to grow and after more phone calls from me, I was told that they would "take care of it" in the spring if it did not grow back in. So I waited patiently until spring. When spring came and my lawn greened up except that spot again, I began calling 4 Seasons yet again, I finally told them to stop my regular sprayings immediately because I was not going to continue to pay them to spray when they hadn't yet fixed the other problem that they caused; but they supposedly continued to spray anyway. Then, they were sending me bills which I refused to pay, because I told them I no longer wanted them to spray.

They finally came out and laid down some sod.this only took about 8 months. They charged me for over $400 for these "sprays" I had NOT ordered. I paid one of the charges, but refused to pay the others. So they sent me to credit collections for the last $292.94 they said I owed. I should have taken them to small claims court, but don't have the time. Wow.

I couldn't believe that this is how they treated a paying customer that had been with them for several years. Buyer BEWARE! I was patient, I was understanding, I left too many messages and made too many phone calls (even with the owner), and yet they didn't care. I wouldn't use 4 Seasons again if you held a gun to my head, nor would I recommend them for lawn service to my worst enemy. Buyer BEWARE! They are crooks! Be sure to look at other reviews, as I am not the only longtime customer who was dealt dirty.

Critical: Professionalism Their drivers have 0 courtesy, I drive semi turned the corner only to face one of their pickups with a trailer in The middle of the road then raised his hands at me like I was somehow at fault. Teach your employees how to drive.

This company is the worst company. They are always late, don't show up on the right days, and they don't treat others property with respect. We have a weekly schedule to have our lawn maintenance, and they have yet to come on the right day. One particular employee took it upon himself to stand on a toddler bench while talking on the phone, when he should have been working.

He could have broken it. When you have a business, you want to make sure your employees are responsible and respectful. I do not see that in this company. Very unprofessional!

Critical: Professionalism Going door to door is acceptable business behavior. However, when there is a bright red sign that says "No Soliciting" and I still get a knock, that's inappropriate. Please be more respectful of people's privacy and posted signage.

Critical: Quality, Value We've been customers for over 5 years. New policy is a double spray in the summer and fall and they charge for it. They changed our spray schedule from 3 times a year to a total of 8. Billing goes to to the application address instead of the billing address. They didn't cancel our service after we requested.

This company is crooked I got a $1,200.00 bill for work that they never performed. I'm going to be filing fraud charges against them (fraud is a serious crime) We had our house sprayed twice (the second time was because the first time didn't work) So we canceled and haven't had them back since. I went to home depot and picked up a bottle of home defense bug spray and haven't had a bug problem since. All of a sudden I get this outrageous bill for service that we never received. Amazing!

Do Not trust this company! At the beginning of summer a salesman came to the door selling their services. We had weeds and needed fertilizer. He gave me his spiel about treatments told us they were quarterly treatments and any sprays in between were included. After he was finished we told him we needed to think about it. A couple days later I had called and decided to set up service they came out to spray and seemed do a good job.

After a couple weeks we still had a lot of weeds and I called to ask them to come out again. Thinking that this was included in our quarterly quote from the original sales person. When the technician showed up again he said the grass was too long and needed to be mowed before he could spray. I called the office to get a quote and set up mowing service and was given a price of $35 per mowing.

They began mowing services and sprayed again (I was left a bill) and then came out again four weeks later. Then I got a bill in the mail. I was charged again for spraying and then charged 46.50 for mowing. When I called to ask about the difference I was asked what it said in my contract. I was never given a contract nor asked to sign one. Then I was told by their manager that because I had no contract and it was only verbal there was nothing I could do and that was the price for mowing and that they spray every 4-6 weeks not quarterly and every time they come out there is a charge.

This was all completely different than what their door to door salesman had talked about. They are not trustworthy and clearly say one thing to get you in the door and then change their tune once they have provided services.

I used this company for over 10 years with wonderful results and even sent them many referrals over the years. Two years ago they changed to a different product and it ruined my lawn for the entire season. My lawn looked dry and burned no matter how much I watered. They even did additional free applications to fix the problem but it didn't help. This year they came out and looked at the lawn and said they'd do free services until it was corrected.

After the first application, my lawn got worse and on top of that they charged me. When I called the office, the rude secretary yelled at me that no one gets free services (like I was trying to scam them after all these years). I canceled having any services done, wrote a letter to the owner including pictures of the lawn and got absolutely no response. This once great company will never get a dime from me again.

Last summer, 2018, a Four Seasons Landscaping employee came to my house a gave me his pitch on their landscaping services. The gentleman appeared to know what he was talking about and gained my attention. We walked around my house and he gave me some pointers and I ended up trying the service, knowing that I could cancel at any time, no contract, which I really liked.

After a summer of great service and having the best lawn on my block, I'm still using them. I've added a photo of my lawn in May 2019, which they've serviced once so far. It looks awesome for just being May! Wait until summer really starts to kick in. Most of my neighbor's yards have dandelions galore and are still brown. Not mine. I highly recommend Four Seasons.

I will be cancelling their service after the last treatment. The technicians do not pay attention to detail and I over looked the first infraction because they left the wrong invoice and mistakes happen, but when the next month came and they serviced my neighbors house instead of mine that was it! They could have cared less about the mistake and replied or sorry we will send someone out tomorrow for you lawn.

Ask about compensation a credit of some kind and nothing. You would think a mistake like that would merit a little more than oh well we will send someone tomorrow. Looking for new company any suggestions!?!
