It's been about six months since the crew completed a major job. What started out as a retaining wall replacement, turned into a full yard redesign and fixes to serious builder mistakes. Pete managed all the changes, interruptions, and client (us) "second thoughts, " with patience and professionalism. In these six months we have enjoyed the results thoroughly and would recommend he and his crew again.

Pete Tufts and his crew built a specialized Cabana from beautiful Western Red Wood Cedar with meticulous detail to quality. Plus, Pete took my ideas and added greater depth and dimension to the project that really accentuated the size and beauty of the Cabana. We will be working with Pete on future projects. Logan Livers

I have been trying for over 2 months to have about 6 sprinkler heads replaced. They came out looked at the sprinklers. They hold me that i needed 6 heads replaced, that was shortly after i talked with then the first time. Have called left messages, talked to a lady a number of times, she told me that she will give PETE the message and put them on his chair or desk, I know it has been about 3 times.
One time i talked to PETE, he told me that all he was waiting for was a appointment date to be set up. The next time i told the lady that anytime will be good. She told me that i don't have to be there and that they will send me a bill in the mail. I guess that i am to small of a job for them to take care of or something. I like to support my local business before the state we are in and should support them even more now of days.
I am a partner in a local business in Columbia, if we treated our customers like this we would not be in business very long. Good Lock to you that are thing of useing Coastal Landscape Design PETE

We hired Pete/CLD to redo our awful yard that a prominent spec builder goofed up. Pete was always courteous and communicative, and his team was extremely detail oriented in ensuring the job was done right. Pete took my rough idea and turned it into a great completed product! They installed a 50ft retaining wall and about 700 SQ ft of a rock salt finished patio.
They were priced extremely competitively, and I feel like we got an excellent value. Seeing that they are a popular choice in Charleston, we had to wait a little to get the project started, but it was well worth it in the end. I would highly reccomend them to anyone needing a patio or yard designed. We got quotes from 4 local contractors, but none of them seemed to truly enjoy their work like Pete, he is obviously passionate about what he does, as is his team.

Pete and his team deliver what they promise and make sure you are thrilled with the work they do as it happens. The people Pete hires, are hard working and do the job right. Pete answers calls and listens to any concerns, makes adjustments, if necessary, and produces a beautiful product. We were thrilled to have found this company and promise you will be too. Pervious walls, paver patio/stairs, drainage solutions, irrigation, lighting, and landscaping.

We had a great experience with CLD. They were professional, responsive and provided very high quality work! We received many compliments on our outdoor kitchen, fire pit area, and patio. In fact, one of the main reasons we sold our house in 4 days was the outdoor hardscape. Our buyers loved it and said that was one of their deciding factors when purchasing our house. I highly recommend Pete Tufts and Coastal Landscape Design.

CLD has done a few jobs for us and they have always been punctual, professional and done well. Pete, the owner, is knowledgeable and willing to help in any way possible. I have used Coastal Landscape Design for several projects around my home over many years. This has included redesigning my driveway with beautiful pavers, installing travertine around the pool area, building an outdoor fireplace, repairing our irrigation system, landscaping our yard and installing outdoor lighting. Pete and his crew are awesome and have always done an outstanding job at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend them!
