I would not recommend this business. I had a small landscaping job done in the fall of 2020. Nothing fancy, just some shrubs and a small tree to spruce up the front of my house. They also cleaned out the weeds and dead plants the previous owner of the house planted and added a bed of mulch. I do not have a "green thumb" and specifically requested plants that would be hearty without much care.
They were great at first and came out quickly to do the work. It looked nice. However, several of the plants didn't make it through the ice storm we had that winter. They're still in my yard. I have been trying to contact Pettit for over a year to have someone come out and replace these plants. I've called and emailed multiple times (probably close to 10 times across both methods of contact).
This past fall (2021), I finally got someone on the phone who told me I was "on the list" and that they would contact me around September. Here we are in April 2022 and still not a word. My most recent attempt to contact them was last week. No return phone call. I don't think my small residential job is significant enough for them to care. But, for me, $2,000+ isn't nothing. Now I'll have to shell out more money for someone else to fix it.

Wouldn't accommodate to our working schedule for an estimate. Came out when we were not home so we were unable to show and explain what needed to be done. When they did come out to do the work we had NO IDEA they ever came out until days later. Did not inform us they were coming or had come out. The lack of communication is terrible!

I was referred to this company and got a call an hour before my appointment and was told I'm just to far away to come give an estimate. So I googled the address and saw that I'm only 13 miles away. Thirteen miles and an equivalent of 22 minutes drive with 5 o'clock traffic. Thanks, I'll hire a real professional whose car can drive over 12 miles to a job.
