We have used A-1 for many years and have been very satisfied with their services. During our recent quarterly outside perimeter pest treatment I had the chance to speak with the technician, Joey, about some bug issues we were having in the garage. Joey treated inside the garage during his visit and was very pleasant to talk with. I had followed up with the reception team after Joey left to share what a good customer service experience I had. It's not often we get a chance to talk with the techs doing the outside service; I appreciated Joey's help and professionalism.

Tidewater Crawlspace Solutions reworked my crawlspace. We decided on a closed crawlspace solution. This was not an encapsulation, but an isolation. All of the crawlspace vents were sealed, the existing vapor barrier was replaced, the failed insulation was removed, the access panels were converted to sealed openings, and a dehumidifier was installed to maintain proper moisture content in the space.

My crawlspace is now a controlled environment. All of this in one day. Outstanding workmanship and value. We also included a termite package that will ensure that our crawlspace does not turn into a haven for wood eating bugs. This process was substantially less expensive than encapsulation and just as effective. I strongly recommend Tidewater Crawlspace Solution.

I am very happy with A-1 Exterminators. My house has been under the care of A-1 Ext. for 20+ years. We have owned our home for 3 of those years and I have had No problems with them. They are always polite and on time. They always give a friendly reminder call about my appointments. Every tech who comes to my house is respectful-polite-helpful and very thorough. I would recommend this company to everyone.

I have used them for three years and then this month, December, they decided themselves to charge me $124 to do around my house and underneath my house without even asking me when they just did it in July. I have always told them when I want it done. But they said they do it twice per year. I acknowledged that but still went back and forth with them saying I tell them when to do the extra work.

This is in addition to the monthly service for $59. When I asked them credit my account because I couldn't afford it, they refused. They kep saying " well we did the work" and then finally, "I can check with the Owner" Not sure why they would treat a long time customer like that but it was definitely a $124 mistake as I told them I don't give a damn about the Owner and I don't need them anymore. There are dozens of other companies who would appreciate my loyal business.

The person was on time, very polite and knowledgeable. It's only been a few days and I'm still seeing bugs however they are depleting. The reason for only 3 stars is because they charged me twice (so keep an eye out for that). They are willing to and are working on my refund for the second charge however they want me to drive from Virginia Beach to Chesapeak to pick up a check.

I'm not waisting my time, gas and wear and on my car to drive out there to fix the problem that never should have happened in the first place. Sorry but I will not be using them again considering this is the first time I've used them to begin with.

I have used them to treat our termites for years and pay yearly for an inspection. Today they did pest control inside my house. Tim was very thorough and gave tips on roaches and where they like to hide. He was professional and very nice. Thanks!

Brandon came today for our annual inspection and was great. He let us know of some minor issues under the house (that have nothing to do with termites) and told us how to watch out for larger critters. He was personable and polite. We had termite problems 6 years ago and A-1 cleared the termites and have been servicing the house since. Thanks Brandon - see you next year!

Over the course of the last four years, we have been very pleased with services provided by A-1 Inc Exterminators. The office staff and technicians are professional, reliable and knowledgeable. Karen, the owner of the business, has been extremely helpful to me. She has spent an exorbitant amount of time helping me problem solve. What is most impressive, is that the help that she has rendered, did not create more business for her from us. She already has our business. This is a business that cares about their customers.

I have used this company for the past 10 years now and have lost faith in them. Every year is a new item and they want more money. They have asked for thousands of dollars to fix things and after I brought out some other companies they disagreed and said they were just trying to sell us things we didn't need. The pest control program is poor as both houses we have had under their control have ended up having mice issues.

When we went to sell one of them, they refused to give us a termite and moisture letter unless we paid for $1100 worth of repairs that they wanted to do. Another company came out and issued the letter and said they were trying to rip us off. I would not recommend them at all.
