Delightful Gardens Landscape Company, Inc. is a contracting firm specializing in new construction and renovation landscaping for residential and commercial properties through out Williamsburg, VA. We have completed a wide variety of residential and commercial projects in Williamsburg, Virginia and the surrounding Tidewater area. Though residential work is our primary focus, we do provide landscaping services to both businesses and local and federal governments. Delightful Gardens holds a Class "A" contractor's license which authorizes us to perform residential home construction and all phases of landscape construction.

Delightful Gardens is in the business of creating quality landscapes and positive customer experiences for families and businesses in Williamsburg, VA. We are horticultural professionals who are genuinely interested in your thoughts, desires, and concerns. The scope of our design work ranges from master landscape planning of a new residence to major renovation work.
A well-designed garden can be beautiful and inspiring and it is the landscape installation team that brings the design to life. In this, I am most proud of my staff. They bring a diverse set of skills into the workplace and apply them ardently to whatever task is at hand. Our crews enjoy their interactions with our customers and they share my passion for a job well done.
A common theme we hear from many, if not most of our customers is a desire for us to produce a low maintenance landscape. We understand this. Life is busy and most people do not garden as a hobby. Our designs are tailored to reduce the labor and costs of maintenance in a number of ways. Proper plant placement during installation allows plants to grow into groupings and masses as they mature.
We work with our clients to create a landscape and outdoor design that suits your lifestyle and your budget. Don and his employees were very easy to work with and any corrections that were needed were attended to in a timely manner. We are very satisfied we chose Delightful Gardens. We couldn't be happier with the double walkway designed and installed by Delightful Gardens! Ryan thoughtfully planned a beautiful path leading to both front entrances, complete with lighting and ground cover plantings. He addressed our drainage issues by incorporating a channel drain along the driveway which ties in with two downspouts from the house.
The work was done over the course of a couple of weeks by happy and hardworking crew members Rich and Helmer. They respected our property while on-site, and took great care in executing every detail. Ryan was available throughout the project and completed a final inspection to be sure we were happy with everything. The end results far exceeded our expectations!

We are absolutely thrilled with our new deck, patio and garden! Don and his team transformed an uninspired backyard into a thoroughly serene and tranquil "secret garden." Don and Ryan were always professional, attentive and extremely patient with our numerous questions and requests. We have entertained family and friends in our garden and received many compliments from them.
One of our friends even mentioned that he was experienced "yard envy" when he visited us. Many wild birds and butterflies visited our garden this summer and even now, into autumn, the attraction continues. Spring should bring a bounty of of blooms - we can't wait!

Delightful Gardens replaced a deck and patio for us. We researched other companies and decided this company offered the best quality of materials and workmanship. We started with a basic idea which owner, Don, revised as he got to know us and our vision for our yard. We were presented several options of design and materials including samples to see how the products would look in our yard.
Considerable time was spent with us to insure we had the design we wanted. We did not feel rushed to make decisions on designs or colors. The goal of Delightful Gardens was to provide us with a backyard we would be happy with. From the demolition crew to the finishing crew, all employees were professional and hard working. The end product is a new deck and patio pavers that have greatly enhanced the appearance and value of our property. We happily recommend Delightful Gardens to others planning landscaping projects.

A great Experience. I wanted to thank Don, Ryan and their staff for the great job they did for us over the past few weeks in May on our hard scape project. Many time you are quick to hear the problems but we wanted them to know how professional and courteous their staff was in completing this project and we couldn't be more happy with the end result.
The work was completed in a timely manner. They did a great job and were professional in how they communicated with us and to make sure we were happy with the total project. Don and Ryan Newsome have transformed our landscape to a beautiful site to behold. Our family is so satisfied with all the touches they helped us create for our home. Their work book-ended our inside renovations, complimenting everything we did with a finished product that is most agreeable. A combination of creative designs for the walkways and side entryway to the gardens and new sod lawn and irrigation system tied into our newly dug well topped things off perfectly. Thanks!

Delightful Gardens did a super job for us 2 years ago updating our landscaping so when we were thinking about landscape lighting we again hired Delightful Gardens! Ryan worked up a great design for the lighting and even put down temporary lights to give us an idea of what his vision for the lighting would be. He was extremely responsive and listened to our questions and feedback.

We have been with Delightful Gardens for 10 years, Started with brick walkway and steps, then designed/planted front landscaping. Next brick patio and rear plantings. Recently completed berm in back yard. All professionally completed. The landscaping has a flow. Annual pruning has dramatically improved the maintenance and beauty of our yard. You should go with Delightful Gardens for the long term.

We can't praise Delightful Gardens more highly. Our experience was 'delightful' from beginning to end. Beginning with our meeting with Don Newsom to discuss our plans to redesign our side yard after the removal of 20-year-old, 50-foot-tall deteriorating Leyland Cypress to personally choosing each tree and shrub that was to be installed and then through the installation by his very professional two-man crew, every stage was pleasant and efficient. The result is a beautifully landscaped and planted yard that defines our home well and is a pleasure to work in. Thank you, Don, and crew! The Saunders
