It all started in 1962 when Carroll and Betty Harper launched their dream of providing quality garden and ornamental products at an affordable and reasonable price. Carroll purchased a $3 concrete-mold catalog that he had found while flipping through a gardening magazine. The Harper's aspiration of owning their own company was sparked by the purchase of just one concrete-planter mold.
According to Carroll, business was sluggish at first. But, with the dedication and help of Carroll's family, Dale, Doug, and Isaac, Harper's Statuary & Water Gardens has increased their product line over the years to nearly 800 pieces and now has wholesalers in six states.

The selection is pretty good. The customer service, not so much. I went into the "Casher" building to pay for the items I wanted. There was someone behind the counter when I went in, but then she went outside and laughed and talked and looked at pictures on the phone with someone for over 20 minutes. I finally got sick of waiting and left. I might be back. Maybe by then they will have fired that employee.

This is a great place for concrete garden art or pond supplies. The prices are reasonable, and the staff are super friendly and willing to go out of their way to help you out. We make at least one side trip up here every year while we are camping, and always find something new to bring home. This year it's a mother Mary statue for my wife's friend whose mother recently passed.
The one we wanted wasn't finished, but the staff put the finish on the same day, even though they were really busy. It turned out better than we imagined. These guys are the best!

Nice place to buy concrete statuary, almost anything you can think of. Prices are very reasonable, you can buy finished or unfinished. The young guys are very helpful placing items in your vehicle for you. The employees all are nice. The owner is always checking, making sure everyone is finding what they need. They deserve 5 stars.
