We bought a house that had very patchy thin sparse grass with way more weeds. I actually hate that we are required to have grass because it does not want to grow here but we have to so we have Turf Pride to fight the good fight. They do a great job with weed control except for Poaanna which I think takes nukes to get rid of. They call before servicing and do a good job walking and spraying the whole property. We both work from home so we can see them spraying.

I have reached out over and over to try to get lingering issues resolved dating back from July of last year. I have given them every opportunity possible to make it right. Conrad seemed genuinely interested yesterday in helping but every promise made has been broken. William will not return phone calls or text messages. The phone number on google listing does not match the new phone number on their website, so I'm not sure what is actually happening with the company.

We used Turf Pride for more than two decades. While I was not overwhelmed with their service my husband felt they were adequate. This spring our Bermuda grass looked more like a weed field than the lovely grass we typically enjoy. After contacting Turf Pride, explaining our mutual dissatisfaction with the lawn, two representatives arrived the next day.
I was told this was their fault but really it was the President of United States that was at fault. By way of explaining why they could not keep employees. They applied a treatment and four days later applied another, at which point our grass was burned. So the problem went from weeds to burned under their care. When confronted Turf Pride argued this was not their fault, stating nothing they put on the lawn could have resulted in this damage.
We severed service with them. During that first visit in the spring we were told the next two visits would be at no charge. We are now being billed for a third visit they claim to have made. Neither my husband nor I can recall a third visit, when confronted we only receive arguments. I repeatedly asked to speak with the owner or the owners representative with the greatest authority, only to receive more arguments.
We have since employed a competitive service to Turf Pride. One that is making headway in resolving the damage done to our lawn. This organization is easy to work with, their staff reasonable, they communicate and communicate again. We see the exemplary efforts being made and are greatly appreciative of the work THEY are doing. While I have never been a huge fan of Turf Pride, the most recent exchanges beginning this spring to current have convinced us their leadership needs to re engage.
The false claim for monies owed remains unresolved to this date. Having worked in sales and service for more than 35 years, our mantra was always keep the customers you have: Do what you need to do to resolve through communication and understanding. Clearly Turf Pride does not feel keeping customers is a priority.

Our yard has never been so green! This is our second year with TurfPride and we are so happy with them. Our yard is noticeably greener than the yards next to us who don't use TurfPride. I highly recommend committing to TurfPride and sticking too it - our yard just keeps getting greener! Services: Yard work, Grass seeding, Weed control

Two reasons for a low rating. 1) I asked them late one summer to come back and treat the crabgrass. Their tech came back, left a note saying there wasn't very much of it. Didn't treat it. They also said it would die in winter. I didn't want to wait! 2) Called them to resolve an issue where they didn't get a check in the mail. They never returned my phone call. Not a good way to do business.

Chrystal is just the absolute best! Her customer service expertise and knowledge of lawn is just outstanding! Her response time to any return calls are always quick! And will always have an answer and or find a solution to any problem or issue (which is rare). They are always quick to come out to do an extra spray of the lawn if needed. "Amazing" Austin our regular maintenance lawn care technician is simple "Awesome" and Zach who expeditiously came out to attend a problem we were having with our grass was great! My grass is looking better and better! Thank you again for everything! Ms Jackson

Hired Turf Pride without a particular budget, but rather certain I wanted to have nice lawn. They did all the preliminaries to get started and set the proper expectation that they could ensure the growth of a nice lawn. From the beginning I was tasked with being told to water at least several times a week.ok. So the planting and work took place in the fall in by spring I had what turned out to be a nice lawn for about 2 months @ least in my back yard the front t yard never produced well at all.
They returned a few times to finish up the contractual services which lasted much longer that the grass. I began calling and explaining the problems but the solution now was always problems that would cost additional beyond the $800 paid. Why were all theses issues or problems not identified during the initial assessment and planning of services. Turf Pride has identified my phone # and apparently written by services off as closed!
I can't get a call answered nor a return call. My lawn is actually worse than before I hired Turf Pride. My neighbors who have not paid for any services lawns look much better than mine. I could go with there being additional services needed but why were the problems only identified after the lawn looked horrible and services were identified.
As professional lawn care providers TP SHOULD HAVE IDENTIFIED POTENTIAL PROBLEMS and discussed them with as a part of the assessment and evaluation. If done as such I would have some trust that TP strives for customer satisfaction and prides itself on great service. Moral of the story horrible service in many aspects! Stay clear of TP!

Omg I should have totally searched and reviewed here before deciding to use them. I started to use them since last year and I always have weed issues. It's an endless game of calling, coming back out in a few weeks, still weed, calling again, weed still existing, until winter comes. Do not use this company! Your money is completely wasted. Thanks to their service, now I know how weed of each month looks like!

Have used them for years, with off again on again good and bad experiences, but the last 2 years very bad customer service. Managers are argumentative about why the yard looks bad ( blaming the customer for not watering, etc). I did water a lot after they aerated and seeded, they did not come back last year to reseed after several phone calls. Now I am chasing them around for a refund ( have asked more than once) to start using another company!

We used Turf Pride for almost 2 years to complete our lawn services. Upon hiring them, they sent our an estimator which measures your land and gives you a quote based on sq.ft of my yard. We agreed to the service. One was to treat our grass from weeds but etc. the other service was to spray our flower beds from weeds growing in them. This was a $600 service which they guarantee for 6 months.
The 1st year they came out and maintained our lawn spraying every few weeks. The result wasn't good but I thought maybe it will take some time to get everything looking right. 2nd year comes around we ordered the same service. This time around they sent a guy named Pete to spray our beds from weeds and pre emergent to prevent any weeds growing.
After he finished and a week went by I noticed he hadn't killed everything. So I called the office to complain at which point they said he would come back out. He came back out sprayed and left. While no one was home, so we couldn't see if he had actually done it or not. Another week went by and I noticed that nothing changes and only getting worse.
I called their office again to complain and they said they would send him out again. I gave specific instructions to call me so that I am home to show what needs to be done. I never received a call or service after that. Turf pride sent me bills for incompleted work. We ignored them because they didn't provide the service we We're charged for. In conclusion they promise a service they couldn't fulfill. Very disappointed with this company.

This company is the worst. I had them for 18 months and always had weeds. Since I complained for a service I was paying for, I got the excuse that the company has to "limit their driving" and will no longer service my area. If they did the job right the first time, they wouldn't have to make duplicate trips. Their guarantee does not hold up. Horrible company.go with a more reputable company!

If your looking for a reliable, effective lawn care company with quality customer service and a strong follow through.keep looking, Turfpride IS NOT your answer! Hired them to treat and A/O lawn. Treated lawn and I have weeds everywhere, completely unaffected by whatever they used or didn't use! Called me on the 22nd of August to say someone would call me in the next day or two to schedule A/O.
I never heard a word until today! The company Left VM that they will be out tomorrow, I said it's still a little warm for tall fescue. I was told tall fescue needs temps between 85-95 degrees to germinate, day what! This is total nonsense as you want temps between 50-75 degrees for optimum results. Girl on the phone could not have been more rude! Kept giving me their policy, that they email 1-2 weeks before A/O.
I explained I was a NEW customer and I've never received an email from them, for anything. Turns out they don't even have my email address, yet she just kept saying the same thing! No phone skills what so ever! Canceled my entire account! Save yourself the headache!

Failed to pick up any children's or dogs toys (including stuffed animals) before they sprayed the lawn w/ broadleaf weed control. Politely called their office to let them know it was happening so they could correct the procedure. No one called back, and the lady in the office seemed to think as I was not a customer it wasn't a problem and was a little snooty.
These folks are licensed by the agriculture dept. and supposed to follow proper safety precautions to protect their customers and pets. Disappointing to see their lack of caring as I had recommended them to my neighbors.

We hired Turf Pride to do a fall overseed and a monthly lawn care treatment. Looking story short, don't hire this company. Very poor costumer service. The sales pitch sounds great, the results, and especially how the company stands behind its work, leave much to be desired. Don't put yourself through the headache.

Turf Pride is the worst lawn company ever and one of the worst service companies I've ever dealt with. They broke every promise they made to me from day one. They have one excuse after another as to why they could not keep two different types of my shrubs from dying, after promising me they could, apparently just to get the deal. They never delivered the results from their soil sample, saying that it takes three months or more to get the results. BS.
The technicians never notice problems and only do anything to fix the problems after multiple complaints. They don't follow up when I ask to have a manager call and then the manager doesn't call, one of his office people does. I could go on for another few paragraphs, but will just say - run away, run far away from this incompetent company.

We've used Turf Pride for a year now and we've never been super impressed. We've had continued weed issues and billing issues. Today, was the worst service we've ever gotten. Last week they came to aerate the lawn and said they couldn't do the back yard because the fence was locked. First, the gate was NOT locked. Secondly, I work from home and they didn't even bother knocking, just left a note on the door.
They came back today to finish and broke our gate. I heard them trying to fix it but couldn't break away from a meeting to stop them and figured they'd at least knock on the door to let me know (I understand accidents happen). Instead they left a bill in the mailbox - totally illegal - and no mention of the broken gate. The fence broke and if I wasn't aware my dogs could have gotten out of my yard.
We called them to discuss and they said they'd try again tomorrow. No mention of having an actual professional fix the gate or refunding our money for their service. Now I'm out $75, have a broken fence, and looking for a new lawn company. Long story short they aren't any cheaper than many options in the area. They've double billed us in the past, destroyed our property, endangered my animals, and very unethical!

I've been using Turfpride for a year now. When I initially called Turfpride I had a lot of bad experiences with lawn care companies. The salesman was very professional and told me about their different packages. We walked thru my lawn and he told me what their basic package would get rid of. The reason why I called them was because I have wild violets in my yard and they are hard to manage.
The salesman told me that they do have chemicals that can treat it. Turfpride has always come out when I ask them to. They even do follow up visits. The amount of violets has decreased in a year. They are very tough to control and take a long time to get rid of. Turfpride has stayed on top of them thankfully. Their pricing is better than their competitors.

I had an 8 am appointment. They did not show up or call. Just after 10 am they called and asked if they should still come out. Like 95% of people I work and since they did not show up I went to my office. I took a half day off the stay with them in the morning and by them not showing up it cost me a half vacation day. Not a big deal but still very poor service.
There is too much competition in this industry to act this way. I would suggest using another company if you value your time. (Below added 3/24/15) It gets better. I asked them if they would like to try again and I was hoping we could make it work out. First they said they would not work with me unless I removed the negative but factual review seen above.
I declined and said that if they did the job they promised I would gladly remove it. They agreed. Someone came out and gave me a quote to which I ageed to all eight applications for the year. I cancel my other lawn quotes and think we will be moving forward with TurfPride. Three days later the owner had one of his managers (whom was very polite and apologetic) call and say that the owner does not feel like they will be able to make us happy with their service and told me that they will not be coming to service our lawn. TurfPride has zero professionalism and now more than ever I urge you to choose another company. The way they conduct business is horrendous. All of what I have stated here is the absolute truth and has been documented in emails and phone calls.

BE CAREFUL OF THIS COMPANY. DON't CONTACT THIS COMPANY BY ANY MEANS! I ask for quote from their website. The salesperson Jeff Wheeler contacted me and we discussed the price in the email. I was not satisfied with their price and didn't contact with them any more. But suddently one day, they came and applied chemical on my lawn. Of course, they left an invoice.
I contacted the salesperson immediately and told him why they came though I didn't order service. He asked me to disregard the invoice in the invoice. I disregarded the invoice. But then the company didn't delete the invoice. They sent me to invoice periodically. Whenever they send me invoice, I called them and explained to them what happened.
They always promoised to do investigation and call me back. But they never call me back! Then after several weeks, they call me for invoice again. Later on my lawyer friend told me that this is their "strategy". They have to obey "Fair Debt Collection Practices Act". So they just call to collect invoice periodically until it is out of 120 days so that they can send the invoice to debt collection company.
They never intended to do any investigation. Actually most probabaly they know I have never ordered service. They are waiting for the day on which they can send the invoice to debt collection company. Most customers are afraid of credit score being deteriorated by the debt collection company and all other related cost for debt collection, so they just choose pay the invoice.
I did pay the invoice after I received mail from debt collection company. Before I paid the money, I still believed they are reasonable company (How naive I am!). I called their sales manager and ask for the records about how I ordered the service. The sales manager always refused to talk with me. He always said he would call me back, but never! I sent email to him, he threatened me that he will send the invoice to the debt collection company, but he never replied to me when I ask for evidence or proof for my ordering their service!
Now you know their strategy, right? Another weeds control company in Canada called Weedman also use this strategy and that company has been revealed in the TV news. They just believe that normal customer will not run the risk of their credit score for such a small invoice. SO DON'T TOUCH THAT COMPANY!
