Ah, Santa Fe Tree Farm. This is the place where we got our beloved Prospector Elm, we've named "Junior". Junior replaced the PC Memorial Tree, a years-old cottonwood weakened by dry weather and ice storms. Santa Fe Tree Farm delivered Junior with a crane from the street over the roof and planted "him" in the backyard near our porch for a lifetime of shade. Oh how we love Junior. Thank you Santa Fe Tree Farm. Keep the world populated with trees. We all need them ever so much!

We've had mixed results to say the least. Bought one medium size oak - it died, we replaced it with a locust which the top died out of, it will eventually turn into something but it's an eyesore right now. Bought a Pagode tree which is doing fine. Bought a Austrian Pine which is doing fine. Bought another Austrian Pine which got sicker and sicker until we called a professional arborist.
This person dug around the base during the visit, and stated that the wire basket was never removed - Also that it was 'root bound' because of this. This business utilized an air tool to remove dirt away from roots at tree base. Two large roots were wrapped tightly around base, strangling the tree. They cut these roots. We've been watering the tree and it's starting to recover.
Be sure they don't do a 'hit and run' and any guarantee includes removing the basket and loosening and opening the roots, which occurs sometimes when trees are farm raised. We didn't know at the time

Let us know when the comment is deleted and we will go ahead and send the check. Santa Fe Tree Farm I posted on 8-26-20 of my experiences with this company. I sued them in small claims court and we agreed on a settlement. Since he could not provide a replacement tree, he had to pay me per agreement with the court.' I received an email with the comments above, which is why I wrote my 3-9-21 review.
It was that or request a hearing with the court to get my money. The check is in my bank so here's the real story. they held me hostage to live up to their warranty. I purchased 7 LARGE trees from them, one was dead, another on it's death bed and three more with diseases [in the trees when planted that I paid to have treated] and two others were okay. Not a good track record. BUYER BEWARE. PS. I was also threatened with court action if I said anything bad about then, I have kept that email

In 2020 we purchased an Ash tree here and the staff were very helpful, knowledgeable and informative. Our tree took to our yard well so we decided to purchase 2 more tree from this business this year. We recently purchased a Autumn Red Ash and a Patmore Ash, both so far are doing well. Again the staff were so nice, respectful, helpful and accommodating.
The owner, Chevo, was especially helpful. He was not only able to answer all of our questions but he also went above and beyond by letting us borrow equipment and giving us fertilizer. We highly, highly recommend Santa Fe Tree Farm if you're looking for trees.

Hey folks, some trees die, some trees don't do well, that's just luck and nature, but by my experience and estimation, Santa Fe Trees does everything in their power to make sure your trees prosper. Our three 10 foot Arizona Cypress arrived freshly dug with a good root ball. They provided a crane to lift them in for the cost of little over $100, a great bargain and service. Cynthia, the young lady at the yard who patiently helped me with my selection is patient, no nonsense and knowledgable. In short, I feel I was well served by Santa Fe Trees. Their yard is worth a visit a little slice of paradise if you love growing things. Thanks guys.

Let the buyer beware. I purchased a chanticleer pear tree for $750 about a month ago and it is now dying. It was taken out of the ground by the folks at San Ysidro and left for 6-7 hours before the planters I hired for $350 could pick it up and plant it. The folks at San Ysidro cut the taproot much too short and along with it the secondary and tertiary roots that supply a large tree like this with water. I was sold a tree that had no chance of survival and San Ysidro claims no responsibility. I do not recommend this place.

Excellent service from beginning to end! The Tree Farm clerk helped us find the right trees for our needs, and she was extremely knowledgeable about all the trees they carry, answering questions and offering suggestions. They delivered the trees within a week, and planted them carefully. The planters gave us comprehensive care instructions. Everyone was friendly, knew what they were talking about, and their love for trees was obvious. Highly recommended!
