Blueville Nursery Inc was founded by Marlin and Gladys Scott in Manhattan, Kansas, around 1933. It was purchased by Darrell and Dorothy Westervelt in 1962, and a small garden store was opened in the spring of 1970. The nursery now contains approximately 45 acres, with 40 acres devoted to growing plants.

This garden center has a nice selection of plants, garden accessories, and wild bird seed. But I am giving them 3 stars because of there not taking COVID safety seriously. At the cash register a store rep helped me who had her mask drooping below her nose. To check me out she stepped out from the plastic barrier. It felt really unsafe and I asked her to pull up her mask to cover her nose.
She replied she could not wear her mask properly because it made her too anxious. Why is she then allowed to check out customers? This is a violation of the mask ordinance in effect now. And by not wearing her mask properly, she is also endangering the people who work there. No one should be allowed to work in the store without a mask. It is a danger to customers as well as all who work there. Please find this worker a job in the store where she is not a danger to customers and her co workers.

Critical: Responsiveness Twice invited landscaping people from the Blueville Nursery to come and give an estimate for some backyard work: once over the phone and once in person. They took my info each time but never contacted me. Too bad. Maybe their warranty on their products and work is of the same low quality.

From the lady in front of the store, to the cashier and the people who helped us in buying and carrying the Christmas tree to our truck, they are all AMAZING! very polite, all smiles, just good vibes! we have been buying our plant stuff here ever since and they never fail with their customer service. 10/10

Everyone on the premises greeted me politely with a smile and asked if they could help. Once my question had been answered, and I just wanted to wander, they let me do that. That tells me they're really awesome with customer service. This nursery offers many services from landscaping and grounds maintenance, snow removal, to seminars for the young and old alike. They really do have the answers to many urban agricultural questions.
