Johnson's Nursery

Best selection of shrubs and trees. Lots of native perennials. Not cheap. I don't know how prices compare. Pleasant, knowledgeable staff.

I took the time to pick out a plant out, and the took it up to the register, they proudly told me after a few minutes that my plant was 1 of 20 some that were allocated to a university. I wish they would have been kind enough to have a sign. It's just seemed very arrogant, like they were happy to deny me.

Staff was helpful from the time I arrived through checkout. Someone saw me standing looking confused. He asked if he could help. I just answered with I'm in awe of the huge amount of stock you have here! He pointed me to the area of a few things I needed. He saw me again later and came over to ask how I was doing. By then I had already picked out plants that weren't even my list, but had also found all that were on my list too! Checkout was fast and easy.

A great experience. We will be back for several shrubs and most likely more plants too! I sent an email asking for an unusual personal request(regarding the photo art in the office). The gentleman that answered went way over above and beyond to fulfill my request. I was thrilled. Now that is great customer service. Thank you all!

We were very pleased with the help that we received in selecting a crabapple tree to suit our specific needs. The tree is absolutely beautiful and the installation was outstanding. The tree is very nicely positioned and mulched and the workers left the area spotless. We will gladly return to Johnson's in the future.

I have purchased many items over the past 25 years from Johnsons. Always helpful, informed staff. My experience in the spring of 2021 was particularly of note. Every specimen that we bought was absolutely the finest quality I can remember purchasing. I do not know what makes 2021 such an extraordinary experience, but I recommend Johnsons and hope you would have a comparable experience.

Johnson's has the best selection and highest quality of native plants in the area. I've been working on enhancing the native forbs, shrubs, and trees on my property, and the stock from Johnson's has been outstanding. Highly recommend them.

After being disappointed at a local nursery, I made the trip to Johnson's Nursery in Menomonee Falls. I was not disappointed! I met with the very knowledgeable Laurie Starr, their horticulturalist. She was so knowledgeable and efficient. After making my plant decisions (keeping in mind my favorite colors and textures), she immediately took me in a golf cart to pick out my plant friends. Everything is in the ground and looks great! I will definitely be coming back for some trees and a few more shrubs.

After checking out a local nursery and being met with indifference, I took the recommendation of a friend to check out Johnson's Nursery. Wow! What a difference! Johnson's has a huge stock of trees of all types, sizes, and purchasing options. I wanted to buy a Sargent Pink Flair Cherry tree, which, though not an incredibly unusual selection, was not widely available at any place locally other than Johnson's. Considering the current pandemic, I reached out, through Johnson's extensive, informative, and well laid-out web site, to a horticulturist via email.

I was amazed how quickly I got a response. Rob (the horticulturist) took a personal interest in my satisfaction. He checked out Johnson's stock at all their locations, found the tree that he thought best fit my needs, and even sent me several photos of it! I had the tree delivered, which worked well for me - I don't have a vehicle suitable for transporting something of that size.

It was a bit of work actually planting it, but Johnson's web site gives very clear and helpful directions for planting, watering, etc. The only caveat is that there was no advice for how to remove the tree from the plastic bin it arrived in. Two strong people could likely lift it out, but I did it myself, so it was a bit "trickier" (I rolled the tree into the hole I had dug, cut one side of the bin off, and slid the tree out through the opening.) Finally, Johnson's won't abandon me in the future now, post-purchase.

Their website gives all kinds of advice for ongoing tree care, and horticulturist Rob told me to contact him at any time, should I need any advice or help. I was replacing a tree that had felt almost like a family member - it had been in my yard for the 35 years of living in my home - so I had some emotion invested in getting a new tree. Bottom line - I could not be more happier with my choice of Johnson's.

I just had Carrie Hennessy at Johnson's Nursery design the landscape in my front yard. She listened to my ideas and used her expertise to design a great new look with trees and plants to refresh our yard. I am so very happy with our new landscape. Her crew did a fantastic job with the planting and cleanup. Thank you so much for your outstanding quality and service.

Johnson's Nursery has completed two landscaping projects for me and I could not be happier. Brian Thomas' knowledge of all things plants, trees, native species, etc. made the process so easy and created great outdoor spaces that we truly enjoy and often get compliments on. The plants are great, very healthy and beautiful with very little die back occurring.

When there were issues, Johnson's stood by their guarantee. I have purchased plants on my own from Johnson's retail stock and those have been wonderful as well. Love that you can check the available stock online.
