Lucas Nursery & Landscape

My girlfriend and I just had this nursery do a job for us. They installed sod in our yard and installed some plants and landscaping around the house. The Foreman and workers were very pleasant while they were here. The job itself looks great except for the half dead sod in the backyard. When I did my walk through of the finished product, I just assumed the sod was dirty.

It is not. It is definitely half dead. And this isn't a "you didn't water it enough" situation. The sod was installed that way. I am currently waiting for Bob to respond to my text in order to further evaluate them, but as it stands, the whole process was one of the worst I've ever had to deal with. Bob is a used car salesman, at best. He gave us a day notice of the install, and didn't ask about the design of OUR yard at all. Thankfully, the Foreman changed the original plan Bob had made into what we wanted.

I strongly urge anyone to find someone else to work with. The headache of dealing with Bob isn't worth the final product. The only reason they got an additional star was because the plants and paver work are excellent.

5/26/22. Just had two maple trees installed by the Lucas crew, Barry, Arturo and Lupe and couldn't be happier. The guys were knowledgeable, hard working and very professional. Except for the trees in my yard I can't even tell they were there. I appreciate that Barry took the time to explain everything they were doing and how to care for my new trees, as I said, very professional.

The whole Lucas experience was great, their prices were better than any other nursery we visited and the personal service we received from Bob, his daughter and the rest of the folks was first rate.

We recently purchased three beautiful large Jane Magnolia shrubs from Lucas Nursery and Landscaping. Pat helped us with our purchase and Barry and his team delivered and installed them the very next day. These shrubs were added to the eight Jane Magnolia shrubs that we purchased previously from Lucas. We are very pleased with all of these purchases, and the wonderful installation job by this team of professionals. I look forward to doing a lot more business with these folks in the future.

I had Lucas Nursey come out and plant a Viburnum tree this week. What a pleasant experience. I would like to compliment the three nursery personnel that came out to plant a Judi Viburnum tree. They did an excellent job of planting, staking and cleaning up. It was a pretty muddy job sight but they cleaned up the area. You wouldn't have known they were here if it weren't for the tree that had been planted. Thank those guys again for me.

Who does this?! First, truck misses driveway and goes into ditch with right rear of a full load.5 c yards. Next, driver tries the back and forth dance.digs in until left front tire is almost off the ground, right rear up to axle. Yup.stuck. they called tow truck. Two trucks! We had to leave for appointment. "Please dump dirt on the lawn." A picture tells a thousand words. 4/19/22: just spoke with the owner Bob Lucas.

He is insisting that my husband asked the driver to drop the load in the driveway. LIE! Bob is rude, discourteous and unprofessional! I would highly recommend that people do NOT give any money to this business. There are plenty of great businesses in the area that actually care about customer service!

I had Lucas Nursery do my landscaping. Not only were they super professional, they did am amazing job! I literally have neighbors driving by and taking pictures of my landscaping. I am beyond pleased. Bob worked with me to help me pick out beautiful plants. He also gave me great recommendations on what to plant. Tammy called me the next day and offered to give me a one on one consultation to keep my plants blooming. I absolutely love this hands on approach to customer service. I will be recommending them to all my friends, family. and neighbors.

We had purchased a Mountain Ash tree from Lucas on Ford. They came and planted it for us. We wanted a warranty but, they no longer offer them. They said that Mountain Ash trees are so hardy that we wouldn't need a warranty anyway. The first week our tree was turning brown. So we called. They told us to put a root stimulater around the roots every other week through Labor Day.

I asked them if they would replace it should this not work, she said absolutely! I called several times because it seemed like it was making it worse! She said to keep it up and we will talk after Labor Day. So, after Labor Day I brought in my receipt as she instructed me to do with pictures. All they offered me was 40% off a new tree and free removal of the dead one. We paid over $500 for this tree with them planting it.

Very poor customer service with this company. The sales person "Bob" presents as a used car sales person that takes additional time to "gossip" about his clients. Sharing too many details about other costumers in the neighborhood. In addition to the poor etiquette, this is the mess they left after paying in full cash for the work. Bob insisted that this was "typical" work and that they no not "clean up" after themselves. They damaged our new grass and left hours of cleanup work that takes away from any landscaping results. Spend your money on a reputable company.

We just had our landscaping done today and they did an awesome job. The foreman overseeing the work was very helpful and answered all my questions. Rob (who handles the sprinkler system) put the sprinklers in about 2 weeks ago and was very professional and did great work! I am extremely pleased and will recommend Lucas Nursery to all my friends.

We wanted to have some trees planted in our yard and Lucas was recommended by our friend. They have a wide variety of plants to choose from, prices are reasonable, and the staffs are friendly and helpful. We talked to Tammy who's very professional, answered all our questions with patience, and had made our experience in the store quite pleasant. Barry& his crew came within 2 days after our purchase to deliver and planted our trees for us.

They're very professional and had taken their time to make sure everything is how we wanted, and that all the trees look perfectly done. We love it and couldn't be happier with their services. They did an excellent job! We're already planning to go back very soon to make more purchases and use their services again for all our landscaping needs. They would be highly recommended no doubt!
